Episode 15

Mariana is surprised to hear that last name since it's been almost 19 years since she last heard it.

"What are you doing here?"

Gustavo speaks in a polite tone, "I understand your reaction, but could I come in? It's not convenient to talk at the door."

Mariana: "Fine, come in, but make it quick."

He enters and says, "May I sit down?" "Yes."

Mariana is a little nervous. "Say what you have to say and get out of my house."

Gustavo: "As I said, I understand your reaction. I am Augusto's younger brother, Ranielly's father."

Mariana: "That man is not my son's father, he made that choice himself. But why are you here and how did you find me?"

Gustavo takes a letter and a photo of a newborn baby with red hair out of his pocket. "I found this letter and discovered the existence of my nephew."

Mariana feels her heart ache as she looks at that letter. At the time she wrote it, she had just given birth, was helpless, and had a baby in her arms.

She wrote in the hope that Augusto would at least help his son, but she never received a reply.

"The past, as its name implies, is the past."

Gustavo: "My family doesn't know about Ranielly. When I found out, I was distraught. Destiny put Ranielly in my path. I investigated and found out where you live, and I'm here to give Ranielly the place that is rightfully his."

Mariana: "I raised my son alone, with the sweat of my brow. You owe me nothing, and now it's too late to try to make up for something that was lost a long time ago. I don't want anything that comes from that man."

Gustavo: "I didn't explain myself properly. I'm not here to speak for my brother, but to say that I want to legally recognize Ranielly as my son."

Mariana: "You're crazy, you're probably married. I don't want to get involved in other people's lives, and I don't want others in mine."

Gustavo: "I'm single, and no one in my family knows I'm here. I'm on my own.” He takes a card and gives it to Mariana. “Call me. I know what I said seems crazy, but I assure you it's true." He leaves, leaving Mariana speechless.

In the morning, Ranielly wakes up and can't find his mother.

"That's strange, she left so early today. What happened? I hope it's not a problem at work."

He gets ready and goes to college, and as always, Saiury cheers Ranielly up in every way.

Ray asked Eric to hire Greta as his secretary, but he refused since the position belongs to Mario, and put her to work with Rhavi, which Greta wasn't too happy about but accepted.

Ranielly leaves college, has lunch with Saiury, and goes to work. Upon entering the room, he finds Cirius with a frown on his face, so Ranielly decides to get this over with once and for all.

"Why do you always act hostile when we're alone? Have I offended you or what?"

Cirius is surprised by Ranielly's directness and says, "You tell me."

Ranielly: "I'm a tolerant person, but if you have something to say, say it to my face. Be honest."

Cirius replies irritably, "You're with the person I love and expecting his child. I don't hate you, but seeing you two together hurts."

Ranielly bursts out laughing. "You're kidding, right?"

Cirius doesn't understand Ranielly's reaction. "I'm serious."

Ranielly stops laughing. "First, I have nothing to do with Hyago besides friendship. Second, he's not the father of my baby. And third, if you love him, go for it. Make your interest clear to him."

Cirius is mortified. "You may not be together, but he hired you as his assistant, and everyone can see the closeness between you two."

Ranielly: "Well, you have to admit that I'm good at my job, and as for the closeness, it's normal. We're friends, and he's addicted to my mom's cooking and always shows up for lunch on Sundays."

Cirius is ashamed for listening to gossip. "Sorry, I overthought things."

Ranielly: "That's your problem, you think too much. I'm going to give you some advice: grab that alpha and be direct. If it doesn't work out, at least you tried, and you won't carry the frustration of never having tried."

Cirius: "You're telling me to...declare myself?"

Ranielly: "That's up to you. I can't believe I'm saying this. It's all Saiury's fault."

Hyago arrives: "Hi, I'm back, guys." Ranielly looks at Cirius and winks. "Excuse me, I need to use the bathroom." He leaves the two alone.

Ranielly takes a deep breath and feels dizzy. He feels his body temperature rising. He runs to the bathroom and washes his face.

"This can't be the heat cycle now." He goes outside the company to wait for a taxi.

He needs to go home urgently since his pheromones are being released, and this is dangerous. Even though society has evolved, if an omega goes into heat in public and alphas pass by, the law will cure the omega for not taking their inhibitors since nowadays they are offered free of charge.

He takes his cell phone and starts calling the taxi driver he usually takes, the reason being that he is a beta.

The taxi driver answers, but he is on a ride. Ranielly doesn't want to take public transportation and knows that his mother is at work.

He starts walking with his symptoms getting worse and tries to call Saiury, but whether by chance or fate, Eric sees Ranielly walking with difficulty, so he takes his car and goes to him.

Eric gets out of the car and grabs Ranielly's arm. "What happened?"

Ranielly's eyes are a vivid violet, and his scent is out of control. With great difficulty, Ranielly says, "I need to go home."

When Eric got close, he could already tell what was happening, and it was messing with his emotions. The pleasant fragrance he smelled was like a drug made especially for him.

"Come on, I'll take you." He puts Ranielly in the car and leaves.

On the way, Ranielly's symptoms worsen. He takes off his jacket and squirms with the urge his body feels to relieve that pressure, throwing his head back and breathing with difficulty.

Eric keeps his eyes on the road, but even though he is rational, he is still an alpha, and being so close to Ranielly, it is inevitable that his nature would make itself present.

He has already inhaled Ranielly's pheromones, and now his beautiful green eyes are golden, and he is at a level of arousal that borders on madness. He looks at Ranielly and bites his lips until they bleed, trying to suppress the wave of heat burning through his body, and looking ahead, he sees a small inn. Then he has an idea.

"Ranielly, I'm going to stop at the inn and see if I can buy you some inhibitors."

Ranielly is unbuttoning his shirt hurriedly. "I can't take this. It hurts."

Eric leaves Ranielly in the car and, when he is about to talk to the owner of the inn, who is a beta, before he can speak, Ranielly gets out of the car with his face all red and sweating profusely.

Before Ranielly collapses, Eric holds him. The woman watches and says, "I know what you need."

She asks Eric to follow her. She opens the door to a room and says, "Just a beta, but I know what's going on, so make yourselves comfortable."

Eric, with Ranielly in his arms, stands in front of the bedroom door, trying to think straight.

"What do I do?"
