"I don't want you to leave, stay with me tonight."

"I can't."

"Why? If it's because of your illness, don't feel ashamed. I want you to get better, and I know you will."

"Are you a believer in the higher power?"

"I admit... I had lost my faith, and I feel like you are my light at the end of the tunnel. Do you understand?" Nicol slowly approaches Scott's lips and kisses him softly.
