Alex, upon seeing Scott lost in thought, approaches him and passionately kisses him.

He reciprocates the kiss with equal intensity, but Nicol comes to mind.

"Don't do it. It's best if you leave," Scott requests, turning his back to her.

She quickly walks towards him and kisses him again. Scott can no longer stop her and he kisses her back.

"I want you to make me yours. I miss you, my love," she kisses him again and Scott lifts her up. She wraps her legs around his waist and he carries her towards his room.

Nicol has been lost in her thoughts, Scott is on her mind all the time. She is a kind soul, a sweet and gentle girl, who has a great kindness in her heart. Nicol is determined to help Scott. She hopes that he will return at night, so she plans to make him a special dinner. She wants to help him with his illness and motivate him, to encourage him to open up more so that she can understand how to assist him.

Even though she joined Scott in a cruel way, she thinks about how handsome that man is and that, after all, he is her husband.

"Maybe if I put more effort into it, we can have a good relationship," she whispers and bites her lower lip.

A car arrives, she thought it was Scott, so she hurried to the door and opened it quickly, but it's Miguel.

"From your expression of disappointment, I believe you thought it was Scott," Miguel speaks with a smile.

"I'm sorry, I did think it was him, but I'm also glad to see you. Please come in," she says.

"How have you been?" he asks.

"Fine."

"Nicol, in fact, I came to ask you if you want to go out with me, to distract yourself a little. What do you say?" he asks.

"Sure, it would be good for me to get out of these four walls," she responds excitedly.

"But we can't tell Scott."

"Why?" she asks curiously.

"You see, Nicol, you are a very innocent girl, and Scott would get angry if you went out. He wants you to be here."

"For the rest of my life?" she asks astonished.

"I can't answer that."

"He is going to die, isn't he?" she asks with a sad expression on her face.

"Did Scott tell you everything?" he asks.

"Something like that, but I want to help him, and I need you to tell me what's wrong with my husband," she stares at Miguel.

"Husband?" he asks, never taking his eyes off her, and Nicol blushes.

"You're right. If you want, we can go out for ice cream and I'll tell you everything. But it will be our secret."

"I accept, but let's not take too long. I want to make a special dinner for my husband."

"I doubt he'll come," Miguel says.

"Why do you say that? Is something wrong or is he very busy?"

"Forget my words. Shall we go?" Miguel smiles.

"I missed you, my love," Alex exclaims breathlessly.

Scott sits on the edge of the bed and gazes at the floor.

"What's wrong, darling? Aren't you happy to see me?" she asks, her voice filled with sadness.

Scott turns to look at her.

"Don't be sad, Alex. It's just that I don't think it's a good idea."

She approaches him and sits by his side.

"When I met you, I vowed to love and respect you. Even though we're not married, I feel as if we are. Scott, you are the love of my life, and I know you love me too. You don't want me to suffer, but my love, we will get through this. Let me be by your side, my beloved. There's no need for us to separate when we love each other. Look at what happened recently, we were always there for each other. You have always wanted to have a child. I will give it to you."

"What about your fear?" he asks, gazing at her.

"The time we spent apart made me reflect a lot, and I let go of that fear. I am willing to do anything for you, for our love. Scott, let's get married and have a child. In fact, I'm no longer using contraceptives. I stopped taking them, so there's a possibility that the seed you planted in me will bear fruit." Alex speaks with a bright smile.

"If I die, you will suffer, Alex."

" Are you still planning on making that special dinner for Scott?

" I want to give it a try, " she whispers.

Back home, Nicol didn't say anything at all.

" Thanks for the ice cream, " she says kindly and gets out of the car.

" I'll come to visit you later, Nicol, I wish you luck, " Miguel winks at her and then leaves.

Nicol sighs.

" I'm going to give it a try, " she says, remaining positive.

Nicol spent the rest of the afternoon preparing the dinner, she put a lot of effort into it and it turned out delicious.

She took a shower and then put on a lovely dress that made her look adorable, she looks at the time on the wall clock and then fixes her gaze on the door.

" I just have to wait now."
