A shiver runs through Nicolás' body. "Don't be sad," she says. Upon hearing that, Nicol thought it was Miguel. Nicol looks at breakfast, which includes fresh vegetables. She tries to smile. "More cappuccino?" he asks. "Let's have breakfast and then I'll take you to the garden."

Nicol eats breakfast, but she's not very happy. She feels sad and gloomy.

After breakfast, Nicol goes out to the garden. "I'm going to let you loose, but don't you dare get lost, Cappuccino. If anything happens to you, it'll break my heart," she says, as their connection is undeniable with that little hamster.

She observes as Cappuccino scurries around from one place to another, and Nicol smiles. She looks at the beautiful sky and enjoys the delightful weather.

Nicol sits on the green grass and then lies down to gaze at the sky.

She closes her eyes and remembers her father, the only human being who truly loved her, the one who made her feel protected. Tears roll down her face, and then she no longer perceives the brilliance of the sky as intensely. When she opens her eyes, she gasps upon seeing Scott Hamilton.

She quickly sits up on the grass and looks at him fearfully.

"Stay there!" he orders, making her even more nervous.

Scott sits on the grass. "How are you feeling?" he asks, and she looks away. "Are you going to ignore me?" Scott asks. He is perfectly dressed in his business suit. He was going to work, but he stopped by to check on Nicol.

"I'm fine," she responds without looking him in the eyes, which irritates him.

"When I talk to you, you must look me in the eyes," he orders, and she has no choice but to look at him. However, Nicol's gaze is filled with anger and fear. "Is that how you greet your husband?" he says when he notices she doesn't come closer to give him a kiss at least.

Nicol flushes at his remark.

"That's not correct. You clearly said those things were not—" she recalls.

"I'm giving you permission," he impatiently replies.

"In that case, I don't want to," she honestly states.

"I'm ordering you to give me a kiss," he arrogantly speaks, and she grimaces.

Nicol approaches and gives Scott a kiss on the cheek, to which he reacts with displeasure.

"You shouldn't let someone kiss you like that. Do you not understand that I am your husband?" he scolds her. She lowers her gaze and then feels Scott grab her face, forcing her to look at him.

He kisses her, and she does nothing, not only because she doesn't know how to respond but also because she's upset and hurt.

Scott extends his tongue into Nicol's mouth, and she opens her eyes wide, instinctively closing them afterwards due to the sensation of that kiss.

She moves away.

Scott looks into her eyes and then at her lips. He grabs her and kisses her again, transitioning from a calm kiss to a demanding one, to the point where Nicol can't breathe and her lips start to burn. However, things worsen when, during that kiss, he takes her right hand and places it on his crotch. She becomes agitated and pushes him away.

"What's wrong with you?" Scott gets very angry.

"No, don't do that. It's not right," she says, placing her hands behind her back, which leads Scott to have impure thoughts. He shakes off those thoughts and tells her.

"Let's go," he orders, and she knows what's going to happen.

"I don't want to, please," she pleads.

"I've already told you, don't make me repeat myself," Scott asserts.

"You can't force me to be with you," Nicol dares to say.

"Yes, I can. You're mine, you belong to me. If I want to make your life miserable, I can. Be grateful that I'm being somewhat gentle with you," Scott speaks, unable to control his hurtful words.

"Gentle? After what you did to me last night, you call that gentle?" she responds.

"Don't contradict me, Nicol. You still don't know who you're speaking to," he warns.

"And truthfully, I don't care at all. At this point in my life, I don't expect anything good. I only ask you to leave me alone and let me rest."

"There's no time! You can't understand that. Besides, I'm not asking for permission; I'm giving you a damn order to go to our room," Scott orders, and Nicol swallows hard.

She stands up and then checks if Hamster is hiding. She doesn't want to tell Scott anything; it scares her that he might later hurt her best friend.

Both of them enter the room, and Nicol doesn't look at him at all. She feels anger taking hold of her, but she can't do anything about it since she was practically sold, and Scott can do whatever he wants with her. Nicol keeps her gaze low.

"Look at me!" Scott commands.
