"Cappuccino is the only thing I have left of my father."

"Your father never loved you, never..."

"Don't say that, my father loved me," Nicol said, choking back tears.

"He never loved you, he died hating you. He told me that your mother left him because of you, and the only thing he had was pity for you. Now I'm going out, and that man is coming in. You better behave and be obedient, you piece of shit bastard, or that hamster will be dog food."

Nicol looks at her hamster, hiding in fear.

"Well, it seems you've understood," Carmen straightens her clothes, and Nicol swallows nervously.

Carmen pays the electricity bill again and then leaves for Scott to enter. As he comes in, he sees Nicol's silhouette kneeling.

He approaches her and lifts her up to carry her to bed, where he lays her down.

Nicol doesn't even have the strength to disobey Carmen's orders. With deep sadness, she says,

"I'm leaving, just... just let me get dressed," Nicol says weakly.

"Don't take too long, or I'll come back and drag you out by your hair."

Carmen leaves, and Nicol clings to the sheets, crying. Her poor hamster is still frightened and squeaking.

Nicol gathers some strength and puts on the slutty dress Carmen gave her. She then grabs some spare clothes from her backpack, unable to leave her only friend, her Cappuccino hamster, behind. She takes him and his cage, trembling as she walks towards the living room.

When Miguel stands up to see her, he is left speechless upon seeing the girl.
