Chapter 1 A Goal To Complete!

The sky was covered with dark clouds and the lighting struck...The weather was too unpleasant and stormy, and the wind was blowing slowly. There was a beautiful, big crystal stone situated on the top place like it was hanging in the sky, shining brightly. And yet there were some people standing against each other for a battle. No one was willing to hold back. Don't ask me why the battle took at the first place? 'Let's settle this for once' he said with a wicked smile on his face. I couldn't see his face clearly but he had a dark red eyes and a bluish hair. He looked like a villain! Without any further delay he took off his wand and casts a spell to attack the one who were against him. To counter his attack back a girl maybe a princess of a certain kingdom, defended back with a spell which led to a huge explosion. Due to the explosion, the whole place ruined, a huge amount of smoke created; I couldn't see anyone... The shining crystal stone also broke into various pieces and shattered on the planet earth. But then I saw a red light came out of the smoke from the same boy spoke in a scary way 'It's not over! I'll return'! I could only see his shadow as the smoke was all around him but can feel that he is very horrible and scary. Alex woke up in a fear. It was all a dream! A horrible one! He was trembling with fear! He had dreamed same kind of dreams many times before. But this one frightened him a lot! His locket was shining brightly but after some while it stopped shining. He brushed his teeth, took a bath and dressed up. He had a blonde hair and amazing yellow colored eagle's eyes. He was thin but a little bit muscular shaped guy. His body was so white that it felt like the only moon in the dark night sky. He went to downstairs for having breakfast. Everyone were wearing fancy clothes and talking about Halloween's special. He had almost forgot that today is Halloween. He said to himself maybe the dream on this day could have some relation...Hugh! Or maybe I'm thinking too much. He tried to forget about it so he admired, 'Granny, you look like a queen!'

Everyone laughed. (Alex got relaxed.)

You!!! Granny cried in anger.

Andrew asked him, 'why were you looking pale and tensioned at that time.'

No big bro...It's nothing. He replied.

Maybe he is missing dad. Poor Alex! He hasn't seen dad. He left us on 19th January 2006 without telling anyone.

But why did he leave on the day when Alex was born?

He was so happy to see him. He also gifted him a precious locket from Egypt. Aurora said.

Alex looked at the locket for a while and thought did she meant by this?

He was sure happy to see him. But I still remember his smile got disappeared after a few while. And the next day he was missing. Also, why Alex has a different title from our family title? Andrew asked.

Smile got disappeared.... Different title....Everything was going over Alex's head but he knew that he'll get all his answers when he'll meet his dad for sure so his main goal for now was to find my father.

Okay enough of talks you two. Have your food said Mom.

She came from the kitchen with a plate of Reuben sandwich and hotdogs. They were about to have our breakfast but the doorbell rang. At that time, Alex's locket shined again. He went to open the door but there was no one! An envelope was lying on the floor on which it was written 'To Alex'. He opened the envelope and read the letter:-

Dear Alex,

'Happy Halloween'

Think of me as your brother. It's a brother's duty to give advice his young brother so as a elder brother I'm advicing you that you'll achieve your goal and uncover all the mysteries [like your unusual/strange dream you had] when you will go to New York and join a school called' Student's dreamland'. Make sure you be quick because tomorrow is the last day for entrance exam. Make sure to pass the exam in one go. Don't think it as a joke and don't be bother by why I sent you this letter, how I know your home address or how I know about your dreams. Just Relax! Bye for now.

Alex started wondering. Even though the letter said not to but the curiosity in Alex's mind made him think: How does he know so much about me?! I don't even know him! And how did he know that I had a strange dream today? He kept thinking but still he didn't get the answer. Finally he gave up thinking and then he suddenly sees the end of the letter which had strange symbol like the symbol in the locket given by Alex's Father. Then he was assured that he's not being pranked. Maybe I can find my father if I go to student's dreamland and meet him. So he decided to follow what has been said in the letter. But what bothered him the most how to convince everyone in the house about that? He was thinking about it at this point his mother asked from the table, 'what happened'? Who was on the door? No-o-No one! He replied. Everyone had almost finished the breakfast and he hasn't even started yet! He went to table and was lost in thoughts and then his mother said, 'I got a new job in New York. So should I join or not'? Without any further delay Alex agreed! Suddenly Andrew and Aurora exclaimed in excitement oh yeah! How can we forget about the university from New York! They are giving us scholarship! So what's the delay then? I'm booking the train and you better pack up the thingd we need. Said Mom.

It seems like my problem is getting solved. Alex thought then he asks: Grand pa and Granny, why don't you guys join us?

We can't leave this house! This is our home! They said.

Alex said to himself: I wouldn't have leaved you guys but I've to find father. Granny gave some money to Mom for the journey. They thanked her and also Grand pa. With a sad but lovely goodbye to their grandparents and friends who had became their family, they left for New York. It will be Alex's first visit to New York. He was excited! It was 11'o' clock when they got into metro train. And on 11:30, they reached New York. New York is a big city! There were lots of skyscrapers. There were so many people... They went to 153 Franklin St. as they had a home their and Alex didn't knew about it. The house was messed so they had to clean it all. After relaxing a bit, Alex asks his mother: Mom, I'll take admission in Student's dreamland by giving entrance exam. His mother agrees but since she didn't have much time left for office so she gave the money to Alex and went to office. Alex too went on his way for Student's Dreamland to give the entrance exam!

REACHING THE SCHOOL~

Alex was shocked to see the magnificence of Student's Dreamland from outside! It's surely matches it's name! The school was like a dreamland to the students not only that, there were many students present there. Then the gate open and everyone went inside the school which looked more bigger from inside. One guy approached to Alex and asked: Are you here to give the entrance exam for admission?

Yes...! Alex replied then he asked: Are you and the others are also here to give the entrance exam?

Ofcourse! But keep in mind almost children of whole New York apply for this school and merely 10% of it get selected! So Best Of Luck!

Bro, I don't believe in luck to pass! I just give my best...Alex replied.

Now that's the spirit! I guess it's almost time, we should split up.

Pardon me for forgetting to give my introduction. I'm Alex. Umm...You?

Well...Before that student could complete his statement, an announcement came to register their name for tomorrow's exam. So everyone went to the registration room, gave their name. After giving his name, Alex returned home. Excited for tomorrow!
