Episode 13

Ferzo glanced backward, his eyebrows raised in query.

"Could I … borrow your book? I really don't know the answer," implored the student, scratching his head.

"If you don't understand, just ask while the teacher explains. If you always cheat, when will you become smart," Ferzo advised, facing forward again.

"Miss, Angga doesn't understand the question," Ferzo called out, raising his hand.

"Damn!" Angga cursed under his breath.

"Which part don't you understand, Angga?" asked the teacher.

"It's, uh, question number 2," stammered Angga.

"Alright, Angga, let me explain it to you," offered the teacher, causing Angga's head to spin.

"Do you understand now?" she confirmed.

"Uh, yes, Miss," Angga replied reluctantly, having grasped only a fraction of the explanation.

"You still have time to work on the problems," announced the teacher.

While some scribbled in their books, others stared blankly, and some were engrossed not in their work, but in drawing anime.

The bell rang, signaling the end of the school day. Students scattered out of the school. As Ferzo headed to the parking lot, what he found was his damaged bicycle.

He rushed over to it, heart sinking with sorrow.

"This must be Yun's doing and his cronies. Just you wait, I'll get back at them," Ferzo muttered as he righted his bicycle, deciding to wheel it home.

"Should I take it to a repair shop with it dented like this?" Ferzo pondered, examining the bent rim of his bike's wheel.

"There he is guys," said Yun, suddenly appearing and approaching Ferzo on his motorcycle, followed by two other riders.

"Hey! You couldn't face me alone, so you brought backup? How pathetic," taunted Ferzo, giving a thumbs-up and then rotating it downwards.

"Such a coward." Ferzo grinned.

"Damn! Don't get cocky just because you got lucky earlier. If you're so strong, why not take on all of them?" challenged Yun.

"Why can't you face me by yourself? Needing a gang just shows you're weak," Ferzo jeered again, further infuriating Yun.

"I'll give each of you 100,000; take him down!" commanded Yun, his anger at boiling point due to Ferzo's defiance.

"I'll offer you 300,000 each to turn on him instead," countered Ferzo.

Yun and the others were taken aback by Ferzo's bold offer. Ever since he transferred in yesterday, Ferzo always brought surprising twists.

"Just fight him, he doesn't have that kind of money," assured Yun.

"Who says I don't have money? Look at this bike you trashed, it's worth 5,000,000." Ferzo presented his bicycle.

"Heh! So you knew it was me who damaged it. Good, that's what you get for going against me. Now finish him," Yun couldn't wait to see Ferzo beaten up.

Ferzo pulled out his cash. "What'll it be? Do you want to try and beat me?" Ferzo flaunted the money. They were tempted by the cash he was waving.

"Damn! I'll give you 500,000 each!" Yun cried out, refusing to be outbid.

"I'll give 1 million each," Ferzo again reached into his pocket.

Their greed was stoked. They had to decide which offer to take.

"I'll give you 1.5 million each!" Yun was truly burning up because of Ferzo.

"There, that's better. You can fight me and try to win, but you should get the money upfront. What if you lose and he doesn't pay you? You'll be out of pocket," reminded Ferzo with a smile.
