Episode 7

With an angry expression on her face, Viona defiantly lifted her chin.

"He was so rude..calling my husband trash, so I slapped him!!"

"He is trash!!" Viona's sister-in-law said with disdain.

"What did you say?! Say it again, you bastard!!" Viona lunged towards her step-sister-in-law, grabbing onto her hair tightly.

"Aaaa..!!" Bernard's step-sister screamed in pain, holding onto her hair that Viona was pulling.

"Stop it!!" Lisa, Bernard's stepmother, shouted in shock at seeing Viona daring to attack her daughter.

Viona didn't care, she continued to pull on her sister-in-law's hair until she fell to the floor.

Viona pinned her fallen sister-in-law to the floor, grabbing her hair and trying to slap her face.

"Mamaaa..help!!" Bernard's step-sister cried for help.

"Stop..please stop!!" Lisa shouted as loud as she could.

"What's going on...what is this?!" Bernard's siblings entered the kitchen, they were shocked to see their sister-in-law torturing their step-sister.

"Bernard..pull your wife away!!" Lisa, Bernard's stepmother, yelled, "Lidia is hurt!"

Bernard lifted Viona off of Lidia's body.

"I'm not done yet..I want to tear apart her mouth, how dare she insult my husband!!" Viona resisted Bernard's hold.

"You are so audacious..just one day into our family and you've already injured my daughter!!" Lisa yelled.

"Not just injure, I will tear apart her entire body..a sister-in-law like her needs to be beaten, she has a mouth that needs discipline!!" Viona shouted, refusing to be defeated by her mother-in-law.

"Dina..call Papa and tell him to come back..it can't be like this, Lidia is hurt!" Lisa said to her first daughter-in-law, Morgan's wife.

"Okay, Mom!" Morgan's wife called her father-in-law.

Bernard hugged Viona from behind as she continued to struggle to hit her step-sister.

"You're going too far..if it weren't for your father being indebted to my parents..I wouldn't allow you to become part of our family!" Lisa said with a stern tone.

Bernard clenched his fists upon hearing his stepmother's words.

"I also don't want to have a mother-in-law like you..so cruel, my husband is not your child..so don't think that I am your daughter-in-law!" Viona replied with just as much harshness.

Bernard's lips curled into a slight smile, barely noticeable by anyone.

Lisa was shocked to hear Viona's words, she didn't expect anyone to dare to defy her.

Since he was young, Bernard never fought back or argued no matter what was said to him.

Bernard only stayed silent when his siblings bullied him, and never opened his mouth to retaliate against every insult from his step-siblings.

But after Bernard married Viona, it was his wife who defended him.

From the start, Lisa suspected that Viona was only after money.

By marrying Bernard, she would enter a wealthy family and enjoy their fortune.

And from the beginning, Lisa expected Viona to treat Bernard just like they did.

But it turned out to be different from her assumptions, Viona sided with Bernard.

"I am the lady of this house..so everyone must listen to me, you are a stranger who became Antonius' daughter-in-law..so don't try to oppose any of the longstanding rules in this house!" Lisa said sharply.

"I don't want to follow the rules of this house if my husband is oppressed and insulted!" Viona responded sharply, unwilling to back down against her mother-in-law.
