Josceline still had a frustrated expression on her face. She didn't even want to enroll in any University because her parents didn't fulfill her wishes.

"It's not that Mommy doesn't like you traveling, but going to someone else's country alone is not a good idea, Celine. Especially you are just a girl."

"What's the problem if I'm a girl, Mom?"

"I can take care of myself. I can shoot, I can fight, I can protect myself, what else is lacking?"

Celine took her backpack and left.

"Where are you going, Celine?"

This would be Celine's first solo flight. Usually, she would be accompanied by her older brother wherever she went, but this time Celine would travel alone for the first time.

Celine departed for Los Angeles fully prepared. If asked if she did everything on her own, the answer would be no. Actually, all her efforts could be accomplished due to her father's involvement.

Her father had prepared all the accommodations for her, and that was also because Celine threatened to run away from home and never come back.

She was now sitting in a business class commercial airplane. Celine placed her backpack next to her seat as luck would have it, she got a window seat.

In her mind, Celine was planning her itinerary. She would visit several places, including Disneyland.

Unbeknownst to Celine, there had been a man staring at her intently since earlier. He seemed to admire her greatly.

After about 14 hours, Celine arrived at Los Angeles International Airport. She stretched her muscles for a moment before disembarking from the plane.

"Los Angeles, I'm coming." Celine really only went with her backpack and a small bag that she always hid behind her coat. The temperature in Los Angeles today was around 10 degrees Celsius. However, that didn't deter Celine's enthusiasm to visit the country.

"Miss Celine."

"Are you Uncle Stuart?" Celine asked. Previously, her father had informed her that someone would pick her up there.

"That's right, Miss. Come with me."

"Thank you, Uncle, and sorry for the trouble."

"No need to worry. It's my direct responsibility to Mr. Benjamin."

"Alright, then I won't hesitate anymore."

They finally left the airport. The man who had been staring at Celine on the plane finally chose to follow the car carrying Celine.

"Did you see that girl earlier?"

"Yes, young master."

"Does Mr. Marrick want her?"

Inside Stuart's car, Celine felt like she was being followed. She briefly looked back. Then, Celine sighed.

"We're being followed, Uncle."

"W-what?"

"Don't worry, Uncle. Just drive to the hotel. I'll take care of the rest."

"But, Miss..."

"Just follow my lead, Uncle. Daddy won't get mad at you. I just want to know what those people in the car want."

"Alright, Miss."

"Tomorrow, Uncle, you don't have to pick me up at the apartment. Please ask someone else to rent a car for me."

"Alright, Miss."

Stuart indeed turned towards the hotel. After Celine gave Stuart her cellphone number, she entered the hotel. Her eyes briefly glanced at the car that had been following her. The car also stopped at the hotel for a while.

Celine didn't pay attention to her steps as she entered the hotel, until she accidentally bumped into someone's body and stumbled. However, luckily someone caught her.

Celine immediately bowed. "I'm sorry, Sir. It was completely unintentional."

"Are you blind?" the man asked in a sarcastic and flat tone. Hearing the quite annoying remark, Celine raised her face and looked sharply at the man in front of her.

When their gazes met, Celine was stunned by the handsome face of the man.

"Besides being blind, it turns out you're also deaf?"

"Ah, darn. Why on my first day in this country do I have to meet annoying people like them?" Celine murmured. However, the man in front of her could still hear the girl's words clearly.

"What did you say?"

Celine smiled wryly. "Oh, so you're also deaf apparently."

The people standing behind the man appeared shocked to hear the girl's bold words.

The man grinned, apparently this girl didn't know who he was.

"You picked the wrong little girl to mess with," the man said.

No one expected someone to dare to stand up to their master. Moreover, it was a beautiful girl. It was truly fascinating.

"Chester, take Zenya back to her apartment."

"I'm tired, Zen. I want to rest."

Damian turned around and made his way back to the hotel lobby. He completely ignored Zenya calling out to him. Damian couldn't understand why he felt bothered by the name Celine had called him.

Celine casually booked a hotel room. She handed her debit card for payment of the room. After receiving her key card, Celine walked towards the elevator. She pressed the button, and while waiting for the elevator doors to open, Celine turned on her cellphone that she had turned off since yesterday evening.

As the elevator doors opened, Celine was surprised when a burly hand pulled her into the elevator.

"Hey, why do you presume to touch me!" Celine screeched in annoyance. She looked sharply at the owner of the sassy hand. However, Celine's eyes immediately widened in surprise.
