Chapter 1

I look at my watch and it says 13:25pm, as I talk to my best friend Kiara on my phone.

"I can't believe your aunt is still arranging blind dates for you! I mean you are now in New York and not in Germany!" Kiara says.

"I know right!", I replie.

"and I can't believe you are really making him wait for you. You really are amazing, Vanessa!", Kiara says laughing.

"you know I hate blind dates. Moreover, my aunt especially told me to be on time. So, I'm so going to be late."

"how long are you going to make him wait?", Kiara asked.

"the meeting point is at 13pm and I'm going to let him wait for half an hour."

I look at my watch again: it's 13:29pm.

"I have to go. My blind date is waiting"

"ok, have fun"

"trust me, I will" I say with an evil grin on my face.

after we hung up I went into the restaurant where I was supposed to have my blind date.

A waitress asked for my name and I said Silver. Then she said "Hello miss Silver, this way please." she lead me to one of the VIP rooms to a table where someone was already sitting.

When my blind date saw me he stood up and greets me.

"Hello miss Silver, I'm Tom Hardy"

"hi"

then the waitress left and I was alone with that guy.

I heard from my aunt that he likes cleanliness.

This is going to be funny!

We both looked at the menu and then another waitress came to take our orders.

"One pork with rice and extra sauce please" I said

"Fish with rice please " he said.

Then the waitress disappeared and we were sitting here alone again.

"Why don't you tell me something about yourself?", Tom asks.

Oh, I know, he wants to start a conversation.

Well I'm going to play along.

"I'm Vanessa Silver, 16 years old. I like to pet stray animals and I don't like to shower often and I don't like to wash my hands" I said with an innocent look, "what about you?"

I can see how he is getting more nervous and uneasy.

on the outside I wait patiently for his answer but on the inside I'm laughing.

God, he actually believed it.

Then the waitress comes with our dishes and I start to eat very loudly.

then I grab a piece of meat in sauce bite in it and stretch out my hand to him with the meatball in it.

"Do you wanna try? It is very delicious" I say with my mouth full of food and lips full of sauce.

All this time he has been watching me with shocked eyes and says politely" No, thank you miss Silver", and laughs tormented.

I take another bite and say

"It's very delicious you sure you don't wanna try?"

"no thank you, miss silver"

Then I stand up and bow to him, so that the meatball is right in front of his nose.

"it's really delicious, let me feed you!"

"thank you for your kindness, but I suddenly remember that I still have something very important to do. Good bye" he says fast and runs away out the door.

"Wait! You haven't-"

Oh God, that was hilarious.

But unfortunately there is another blind date.

Ugh, why aunt why? Do you hate me this much?

Well anyway I got rid of my first blind date, now I only have to get rid of my second one.
