720 Hours

After searching for the job and accepting rejections from everywhere he went home not knowing what to do next. As he reached home he saw a smile on the face of Leela and he just forgot everything for a bit of second. After seeing the happiness on Leela's face he decided in his mind that he won't let Leela know anything about his job since he didn't wanted to take back the smile from her face. He just acted of being normal in front of Leela but she just caught him acting and asked, "is everything all right?" and as soon as she asked, Ajay replied "yes, everything's good" with a fake smile on his face. He convinced Leela that everything is fine but was not able to decide how he will pay his rent which is due next month. He didn't sleep that night since the thoughts didn't let him sleep. Still convincing himself he just motivated himself that everything will be fine again and he will soon get the job.

The night was too long for Ajay but it passed somehow and as the sun was up his thoughts again caught his mind. He felt like his house was having a time bomb with time of just 720 hours (1 month) to defuse it. He decided that anyhow he will find a job and he will share this good news of finding a new job with his family and apologize for not telling the truth and will promise to never lie again so that everything will be fine again. So he went in search of the job, but this time to some different location. He again failed to get the job and was not able to understand that what went wrong from his side. He was very frustrated and so he sat near a temple to calm his mind.

After few minutes he just realised that he searched everywhere in the city but didn't went to the shop he was working when he was very new to the city. He realised that maybe he can again get the job over there. So he rushed over there and saw that the shop was closed. He asked the neighbouring shops that why this shop is closed? and the replies were not convincing to him so he decided to wait over there for some time. He waited there for around two hours and still there was no clue about the shop's owner, so he decided to go back home and tell everyone in his family about the truth. As he entered he just called everyone besides him and told, "Listen to me carefully, I am going to say something scary but since it is the truth I will have to share it with you all..." interrupting Ajay in the middle, Leela asked "We are not able to understand anything, can you please come to point and say whats the matter?" and with all his guts Ajay just told in one flow that, "I lost my job yesterday".
