CHAPTER 5: Battleground I

“ Devour them. Maker of servants. Hyokutenshi.”

The ground began to shift, the clouds darken purple streaks of lighting flashed within the clouds. Darkness spread through the whole Island. Arato eyes widened in shock as he saw the dark veil around the island. He then took out a Sig SP2022 9 mm Pistol. It was covered in blue lines, energy pulsing within them. The energy veins snaked from the gun to his gloves, then followed along the arm and connected to his eyes. His eyes glowed bright blue, blue streaks of aura began to leak out from him.

“ Daishiki cover me.”, He said, as he kicked off appearing in front of the green haired man, pointing a gun to his forehead, his eyes narrowed.

“ You aren't one of us”.  The green haired man smiled. I then felt an energy impulse pass through me. The green haired man then looked at Kuro, pointing at him.

“ You have talent, Join us,”. Kuro stopped eating his wagashi, looked at the green haired man and continued. Arato's finger began to twitch on the trigger, finally pulling the trigger, shooting a thin Blue beam, which exploded the veil. Blood trickled down his neck as, his head faced backward, fixing back into place. He then looked at Arato and turned into smoke, the veil disintegrating.

“ I will see you Later”. His voice echoed. Damian sighed with relief.

“ IT'S NOT OVER” Arato shouted. “The red energy veins on the ground haven't dissipated, Don't let your guard down”. As he said that, the energy veins started to expanded. A scent of rotten bodies began filling the air. We then hear growls. Coming from the Energy veins. Human bodies started crawling from the energy veins, as, the Zombie like creatures come out, the surrounding plants begin to wither.

“Death Energy”. Arato gasped, then turned to us, “GET AWAY FROM THEM”.

A zombie then appeared at the back of Damien. His aura then changes, as he dodges the Zombie's red, pulsing claws without looking at the zombie. He then spins and kicks the Zombie, causing it to crash into a tree. It then became irritated.

    “TSK!!!”. Damien clenched his teeth and jumped back and kept his guard up. Distracted by Damien's predicament, I got surrounded by the zombies. They then rushed to me at the same time, giving me less time to react. Dashiki then appeared in front of me, kicking me out of the encirclement. The zombies covering my sight of me. I widened my eyes, realizing that my weakness just cost someone their life. The shock of what just happened engraved into my memories. I then remember the shadow's words. My eyes widened in horror as, it kept repeated in my head. My nails grew longer, my eyes became bright red. I then stepped onto the ground, causing it to crack. The zombie bare its black covered fangs at me, I then stretched my hand slowly, firmly gripping its face. I then watched as it squirmed in my hand, trying to escape. I then passed my hands through its heart, emotionlessly.

    "It won't work twice," I said narrowing my eyes, then bending my head Forward dodging a red claw that was aimed at the back of my neck, I then smiled and placed my palm on its chest lightly, yellow energy gathered in spirals around my palm. The zombie flew back from the light push, the impact causing shock waves. I then feel a threatening energy, I turned to see Daishiki holding a rapier, with brown glowing carvings. I instinctively stepped back. With his glowing eye patch, he turned and swung his rapier causing, the wind to blow insensitively. Causing the energy veins and the near-bye zombies to disintegrate into ashes. Damien then sat down, exhausted.

    "It looks like you awakened". I hear a familiar voice. Arato said as he narrowed his eyes at Daishiki, worry evident in his eyes,

    "Seems you are done on your end" I said mockingly. He looked at my hands to see a brownish, black ring on my middle finger. " Looks like you are a rank 1". He said.

    "Not like you are any better", I retorted. He then looked behind me, his eyes widening in surprise.

    "Wha- - -" I looked back to see a mountain of corpses, and a being of complete death, sitting at is peak, its eyes glowed green as it scanned through for threats. It had a familiar Swiss knife., I then recognized this death like aura as Kuro. Arato then looked at Daiki nodding their heads in agreement, ready to attack him. As I was about to stop them, Damien rushed to Kuro and jumped on him, causing them to crush on the ground. Kuro groaned in annoyance, as Damien cried.

   "Kuro, You were right, I shouldn't have made us come here. I don't want to leave your side. All of you have awakened except me, don't forget me. THIS WORLD IS SOO UN-". Arato approached me. " You guys are one odd bunch". He said smiling.

I narrowed my eyes at him, "If you try to hurt one of ur own again. I would retaliate". I said, a dangerous red glint in my eyes.

    "Oooh? It seems someone has gotten arrogant.". He then appeared beside me and placed his hand on my shoulder. "Any threat to my brother is to be eliminated. What makes him any less of a threat," Arato said with a threatening light smile. Daishiki then placed his hand on his shoulder and shook his head. Daishiki then bowed his head in apology. Arato then bit his lip and walked away. I then raised my hands in the air and smiled wryly. "Don't worry, we cool Bro" I said.

We then hear a familiar howl. " Not Again!" I said as the howls got closer.
