A surprise call

Saturday morning Sara woke up at 5.00 got ready and went down to see Anna and Divya working in kitchen .

Sara went and greeted, "Good morning ...Anna , Divya .......can i help you with anything?"

Anna replied" no ma'am...we are almost done ......you woke up early today "

"yes ...i want to make something for my mother ..... can you help me with it ?"

"sure ma'am...what do you have in mind ?"

"i want to make sheera for my mom...... she likes it .... but i never made it so it will be a surprise"

"ma'am i can make it for you and pack it ..."

"no .... i want to make it on my own.. . dont think i don't know how to cook .... i know how to cook just that i don't want to cook .... but now i wanna cook for my mom ..."

"ok ma'am i will prepare the ingredients "

"ok " said Anna and sat at dinning table watching Anna and Divya.

after 15 mins Anna called Sara to the kitchen and helped her put on her apron. Sara tied her hair in a bun and started listening the instructions given by Divya.

First she pour in ghee in pan added semolina took hot milk poured it ..... and started cooking.

while Sara was cooking Anand came down and sat on his seat reading newspaper and heard giggling coming from kitchen he glanced towards kitchen and saw Sara cooking and was stunned once again by her beauty.

After cooking for about 20 minutes the dish was ready so Sara took off the apron and sat at her usual place to eat breakfast.

In 10 minutes 2 breakfasts were served to Anand.

Looking at 2 dishes Anand asked ,"why did you make two dishes ...and is their anything special today ... you made sweet"

"sir ... ma'am made sheera for the first time ...and i just served you the first plate ..... do tell your views on it " Anna replied with a smile

Sara on the other hand never spoke a word and started eating.

After hearing Anna Anand glanced towards Sara ...coughed a little and said ,"ohh" and began eating.

After 3 bites of Sheera Anand replied , " its really good ... not expected you to be good at cooking"

"thank you" Sara said .

Sara finished her breakfast before Anand and again went to kitchen to clean up the dishes .

Anna almost begged her to let her do the work but Sara insisted on cleaning the dishes herself.So once again she wore the apron tied her hair in bun and started working.

While she was cleaning Sara's phone place on dinning table began to ring .

Sara asked Anna to see who is calling as this is her personal phone.

"ma'am its someone called Mike" Anna said.

"Bring it here " Sara smiled and said.

Anna took the phone in kitchen picked it up and placed it on speaker.

"hello ...... who is this ?"Sara asked teasingly.

"you do know who i am .... than too you are asking this question" Mike replied.

"do i really know you sir .......according to me i dont have any unfaithful person in my life "

"yeahh....about that....... my bad ....i am really very very sorry ...... i not had network in here so i was not able to call in for past 4 months ...... "Mike said

"where are you ...that you dont even have network"

" i am roaming ....you know me .... right now I'm in Seoul, Japan ... and for past 4 months I was in Pacific ocean"

" you are still roaming .... and i thought you might have settled down by now .... its almost been a year when you started roaming.....and what are you doing in Pacific ocean?"

" i just went to catch some fish" Mike replied teasingly.

"and yeah..... i think i will settle down now..." Mike said again.

"OMG.... did i heard it correct .....Mike the travel lover is gonna settle down....this thing i am so not able to digest...... .don't joke around its not funny you know " Sara said.

" no Sara ...i am serious.....i am gonna settle down ....i travelled enough for now .... "

" so are you gonna return to India?" Sara asked.

"yes.... i will be back in India.... i wont tell you when ...it will be a surprise .... i just called you to say that when i call you ...you should come to pick me up at airport and spend the day with me ...."

"oh.. and you think i will do as you wish.....in your dreams ..... i wont be taking a day off just for your stupid adventure "

"oh ... i know you care about your work ...you workaholic.... but do you know last summer on xx day of xx month you owed me a favor...."Mike said.

"yeah ...i know .."

" so as repayment ....you have to pick me up and spent the day with me ....i dont want anything else...just promise "

" are you sure you want me to pick you up ...you know you can ask me to get rid of your ex ...or stop your mom from setting you up on blind dates..."

" i just want the promise "

" ok then i promise you"

"YESSSSS......." mike exclaimed on other side of Phone. "oh and one more thing.....give phone to your mom i wanna ask her what she wants from Japan. mike said again.

" you dont have to bring anything" Sara replied hurried .

"just hand over the phone "mike said

"i am at my apartment mom is not with me " Sara said

"oh then i will call her ... sayonara ...see you soon" mike said and hanged up.

After Sara ended the call she sighed a relief and immediately texted her mom saying dont tell mike or others that i am married i will give them a surprise.

Sara's mom texted ok.

Anand who was sitting at dinning table listened everything
