Blending in

First day of med school. Aaron and Kevin dropped their baggage at the counter and headed towards the auditorium where the orientation was being given about the campus and also the course.

By now Aaron and Kevin have got to know each other better and have become friends. They got all the joining procedures done together as they could only depend on each other in this new place.

They entered the auditorium and took seats next to each other. Kevin was all excited and happy about this and was keenly listening to everything while Aaron was bitter and was lost in his own thoughts throughout the orientation.

Eventually it was done and they headed back to the hostel got their room keys and headed there to unpack and settle in.

Their rooms were adjacent and once done with packing Kevin came to Aaron's room to pick him for dinner.

Aaron was not even aware it was dinner time already and later that night both of them couldn't sleep. One was ecstatic while the other was pathetic.

The next day both were at their first lecture and after being done with it headed towards the dissection hall for their anatomy class which was filled with a strong pungent odour of formalin used in embalming the cadavers.

As the lecture started few felt dizzy while few were nauseous and threw up , many were scared and made weird faces , some covered their nose and went on with the lecture anyhow.

Amidst everything Aaron stood there without any hesitation staring at the cadaver as he was lost in thoughts.

later that day after classes they were called by seniors to a meeting to know everyone and to brief about the rules and regulations.

By now Aaron and Kevin became peas in a pod and were seen together most of the time. It was as though they were inseparable.

They were seen together almost all the time. It was as though they were dating. Whether it maybe canteen, classroom, labs , dissection, mess , and even shopping and eating out they were always seen together.

Kevin was the reason he could survive here and that's what Aaron said everyone while Kevin thought the same too but never expressed it out loud.

A few days passed by as they were juggling between lectures and labs and then there came the freshers party and sports meet.

Aaron finally felt relieved as he adapted here with Kevin's help and he also loved sports so much.

At the sports he was playing basketball and everyone was drawn to his handsome face and perfect skills. He was like a perfect heartthrob on the field making goals after goals. They won it against engineering almost after a decade and it was a pride moment for them.

The whole court was filled with girls cheering out for Aaron.

..."Aaron.... Aaron..... Aaron...."...

The guys lifted him high and hailed as he made many goals to get them the trophy.

Soon Aaron became popular among the girls with his skills in sports , but he had eyes only on Ashley his code senior who helped him to fit in.
