Chapter 03

Nobody's POV

“Hey, watch where your going!” I yelled out to the guy who bumped me. But he just ignore me and went on his way, typical.

New York city is still the same. Loud, bustling and full of unbothered people. The people here are always in a move, but me? I'm just always stuck in this endless loophole.

Harmony.... Harmony.... Harmony....

There is it again, that voice. The voice that's always been in my head, I tried consulting someone for that but everytime I did, they'll put me into rehab and then after a couple of months in there and me lying to their faces about not hearing anymore, they'll let me go.

While I was still walking, I heard my phone alarm go off and the screen says late. Shit! I'm late for school!! What am I gonna do?! What am I gonna do!?

I rushed pass a crowd and hurriedly sprinted to a nearby bus stop. I get in the first bus I see and sat on the middle. I still hear the voice calling me but I try to ignore.

Arriving at school, I feel that crippling dread force itself to me. To be honest, I don't really like going to school, the only reason I go here is to avoid Marge.

Marge is my mother, yes, she is my mother. But unlike other mother's she doesn't loves me the way they do, like to the core, she hates me that much.

“Miss Coopers, how very nice of you to join us for class!” Baldie— I mean, Mr. Schrader calls me out. How the heck did he see me? I'm only 4'10, I'm tiny! How can he see me when I was crouching down?

“Hahaha, Good morning, Sir! You look very nice, you know. Is that a new tie? It looks good on you!” I tried to get myself out by doing the classic compliment technique.

But it didn't work. Dammit!

“You are late, Miss Coopers! So, care to explain why you are late?” He questions me. I had the sudden urge to just punch and I don't know why is that, I always have this urges to be violent when I'm in a situation similar to this, and I don't understand why.

I tried to calm myself by closing my eyes and taking deep breaths. That seemed to work but when I opened my eyes, I was shock to see when I looked at Mr Schrader again.

He looked like some kind of beast! I can't explain what it is but he looks scary. He has fangs big enough to snap someone in half, claws that could slice someone into pieces and his body, is as big as fucking building!

I was frozen on my spot, I couldn't move an inch even if I wanted to, I was too scared to move. The monster then charged forward at me in an insane speed.

I closed my eyes, bracing myself for the immense pain I'll be feeling, but it didn't. I opened my eyes slowly, and saw two girls in front of me, shielding me from the monster.

“Hey kiddo, miss me?” I heard the white haired girl said a familiar nickname someone once given to me. Then I had a flashback of some sort.

*Flashback*

“Hey kiddo, grab me some wood will you” A vague image of a girl squatting down a campfire told me.

“Hey kiddo, how many times do I have to tell you, not to be too aggressive with your friends!?”

“You know, one of these days I'll need me one of those day offs as your big sister, kiddo.”

“Hey kiddo!”

“Hey kiddo!”

“Hey kiddo!”

“Hey kiddo, always remember, when you wear this bracelet I'll always be by your side, wherever you may be, okay?” The vague image is starting to clear up.

“Harmony, run!!”

*End Flashback*

After my little flashback, the monster was now nowhere to be seen. I think the two of them killed it already by the looks of them.

The white haired girl looked my way and walked towards me as she panted. She stopped just when she was a little closer from me, she smiled and cupped my cheek.

Then I saw her tear up, she then engulfed me into a tight embrace.

“I'm sorry I took so long, but I'm here now. Big sister is here now, I'll always be, now and forever.” I don't know why, but for some reason I started to break down in her embrace after she said those. It's as if I have been waiting for someone to say that to me and I have, I didn't even know that's what I was waiting for.

I sniffled as I tried to stop myself from crying.

“Who are you people?” I asked them. They froze and looked at each other. A look of confusion was plastered on their faces.

“Hey kiddo, Do you not remember who we are?” The white haired girl asked.

I stared at hazel eyes and she stared back at my amber orbs.

“No...” I said with a frown.

Adelaide's POV

“Ade, why doesn't she remember us? Or even the others?! Celesta's question also stumped me.

I then remembered a certain spell that has the same results after using.

The binding spell, well this spell could be use as something to rid of someone's memory. This isn't a first that someone has used this method but with a child of a god? That's really the case.

“The binding spell, it's not a rare occurrence, given that witches would use it when a mortal sees them use witchcraft but with a deity's child? It's not really something you would hear in a typical lore.” I told Celesta my conclusion of Harmony's situation.

Celesta didn't say anything and just stayed silent. We heard a loud clang from the living room and looked to see what has happened and what we saw made us burst into fits of laughter.

“Oh Harmony, what happened here?” I said, laughing.

“Well, I saw this pretty bird and I wanted to pet it.” She explained herself. To give you some context, she is now stuck on the railings of the staircase, and she can't get out.

We tried to get her out by pulling but it didn't work and just made things worst.

“She is stuck tight. What are we gonna do now? Use magic?” Harmony's eyes grew wider at the mention of magic being involved, so I shake my head to Celesta's suggestion.

As we were thinking of how to free Harmony, Galatea randomly materialize from out of nowhere.

“Wow, how kind of you to just pop in here from out of nowhere, Galatea.” I said in a fake cheery voice. She rolled her eyes and without a word she touched the wooden staircase and the railings started to part and Harmony was free!

The downside of it was, that she fell on the floor. Hard.

“Ow!” She shrieked.

“Oh my! Are you okay?” We looked at Galatea when she asked that.

“Yeah, floaty! I'm great, I'm awesome, it's not like I just fell from the staircase railing and onto the floor so hard! So yeah, I'm okay!” Harmony sarcastically retorted back at her.

Galatea couldn't say anything back after that and bowed her head in shame. Celesta and I helped Harmony up and checked if she had any kind of injuries.

“Are you really okay? No broken bones or anything?” Celesta asked. Harmony just nodded her head as her answer.

“Well then, everyone hungry?” All cheered.

“Who wants Mac n' Cheese?” The two both raised their hands and looked so cute doing it.

How I wished things will be like this always... But it can't, not for us...
