Mia: See mommy it's snowing.

Mom: Do you want to play outside? You can go and play with your friends. (Mom said with her cute smile)

Mia: But mommy Amber is not at her home. And Em's place is very far from here.

Mom: Oh! Why?

Mia: Her mom said that she's at her aunt, and she will celebrate Christmas there.

(Mia said with a sad face)

Mom: Then why don't you go outside and try to make new friends. Maybe you can get a new best friend this Christmas.

(Mia's cheeks flushed red at the thought of making new friends. She is not very social. And when it comes to make some new friends than she thinks if she said anything and everyone starts to make fun of her or humiliate her. She can't hold any humiliation or to be embarrassed in public.)

Mia: No Mom! I'm fine here it's cold outside. I'll watch my favorite fairy tale with cookies.

Mom: Baby you should go outside. I know how much you like to play in snow. Sorry momma can't go out to play with you.

Mia: It's Okay mommy. I know you love me.

(Mia gave her mother a cute hug and a sweet kiss)

Mom: Baby now go outside and play in the park. Okay? I'll pick you up before the weather gets more cold.

(Mia knows that it's hard to turn her mother down)

Mia: Okay Mommy!

Mom: now lets wrap you in warm clothes before you go outside. And wear your gloves.

Mia: Okay mommy!

(Her mom drop her to the nearest park which is just at the end of street)

Mom: Take care sweetie. Love you. Don't go anywhere with strangers. And wait for mommy. Okay!?

Mia: Okay Mommy!

(Mia's mom left her in park with kids from neighborhood. Sarah knows some kids Because they are in her class. She also saw her mother talking with her neighbor for taking care of Mia.

Now she is all by herself. So she thought to make a snow castle.)

Mia was too busy in making snow castle. She didn't realize that a girl was standing behind her and watching her making snow castle.

When she realized that someone is standing behind her she thought of some bad kids. She immediately turned and saw a cute girl smiling at her.

The girl was smiling at Mia first But by seeing Mia's reaction she immediately moved her hand forward to introduce herself.

She said: Hi! Myself Lily I saw you making snow castle. Do you want play with me??

(Mia give it a thought then said)

Mia: Okay! Myself Amelia.

(Mia don't like to introduce her to strangers. But she did handshake with Lily)

Lily: Where you live?

(Mia pointing towards the direction)

Mia: 9th house in that street.

Lily: Okay.

Mia: Where do you live??

(Mia never saw this girl nearby)

(Lily pointing towards her house)

Lily: That's my house.

(Mia got confused because Lily was pointing towards same street where she lives.

She knows all neighbors and people live nearby.)

Mia: I never saw you here.

Lily: We just moved in.

Mia: It's odd that someone moves in winter because it's still some months remain for school to end.

(Mia didn't realize she said it out loud)

Lily: I know it's odd but Dad said we have to move and I don't have any friend here. Will you be my friend?

(Mia don't know what to say)

Mia: You're sure!?

Lily: Yeah! We can be good friends.

(Lily hugged Mia in her happiness that at least now Lily have a friend. But Mia is not used to strangers hugging her. She got a little uncomfortable. Lily saw look on Mia's face and apologies)

Lily: Sorry!

Mia: AMM…! It's okay. I didn't mind!

Lily: If you are my new friend then it's good to get used to of hugs.

(Lily doesn't talk to many peoples. She's not shy or anything like Mia. Lily easily don't like people. It's hard for her to make new friends. She's also rude with some people not always but sometimes. She didn't have much friend back to her old city. Just 3.)

Mia: Okay I'll try to get used to it.

(It's not hard to get used to of this Mia thought)

Lily found Mia cute and thought that they can get along well. Then Mia saw a boy running towards them. Lily was too busy in her thoughts to notice.

Boy reached to them, and he's out of breath because of running. Boy yelled Lily's name. Then Lily got snapped out of her thoughts.

Lily: What happened Mike? Why are you in hurry?

Mia was confused but didn't say anything. She thought that the boy is Lily's friend or cousin. But she didn't say anything. She was waiting for her mom to arrive and pick her up. She can walk to her house, but she got scared that if someone approaches her or try to scare her.

Lily was talking to Mike.

Mike: Mom wants you to come back home. Because it's cold outside and weather is going to be more bad.

Lily: Okay let's go

(Lily forgot about Mia's presence. But soon realize it.)

Lily: Want to come to my place.

(Mia remember her mother's words. She said before leaving)

Mia: No it's alright. My Mom will soon pick me up.

Lily: But it's not good to be outside.

Mia: No it's fine. You should go your mom will be waiting for you.

(Mike said interrupting both of girls)

Mike: We can wait till her mom arrives. Otherwise, she can come with us. But first let me tell mom.

(Mia gave him puzzled look)

Mike: Sorry for not introducing myself before. I'm Michael. Lily's older brother. You can call me Mike.

(Mia smiled)

Mia: I'm Amelia. I and Lily just became friends.

Michael: Woo! So you are friend of my little sis. Then let me warn you that....

Mia: That...?

Michael: Sometimes she behaves like crazy. Because practically she is crazy.

(Michael and Mia both burst into laughter)

(Lily playfully hit Michael on arm. Michael is very funny guy. Lily always feels blessed to have a brother like him. He always helps her and when she doesn't have any friends then He used to give her company.)

They all wait for Mia's Mom to arrive.
