“3..2..1.. YES!” I exclaimed as I watch the clock pass by 12 in the midnight. “ Finally I won!!!” I ran to my car and drove to my destination, with full of emotions, I was happy because I had finished and won the stupid bet between me and my lover. But as I reached my destination I didn’t expect the surprise that will greet me. “huh? What this?” I ask in a whisper tone. I got out of my car and walked to the door , as I opened the door I was surprise to see my lover sitting in the sofa his eyes full of tears. “ Jacob? Why are you crying?” I ask him, but it seems that he doesn’t want to answer me, I walked to the coffin that is in front of me, I move with a shaky hands an anxious heart and I couldn’t believe what I saw “ i—i—it’s me?” my eyes widen as I cover my mouth “ That can’t be, but I’m here?” I said with a lot of confusion. I ran towards my lover and shout “ What the hell is this?! This isn’t funny Jacob!” but to my surprise no one reacted to my shout not even my lover. Then suddenly a man in a black cloth walked towards me “ Hey there little one” he said “ you can see me?” I asked but instead of an answer to my question his replied made me even more confuse “ it’s time to go” where should I go? I ask in my mind but it seems that he has read my mind that he answered me “ to the other side” my legs gave out as I let out a sarcasm laugh “ haha so I really did died” I said trying to process everything in my little head. “ yes you died in the road, it was a little accident a truck has collided with your car it was a drunk driver” he said “ you’ve died before you even got to your destination” he added, I couldn’t help my tears from flowing anymore, I cried my heart out as my brain processed everything “ If only I knew this would have happen I wouldn’t said that bet to her” I stopped as I heard my lover Jacob spoke “ it was only a way to give yourself more time to prepare your surprise to her” my mother answered, Jacob pulled out a ring in his pocket and stared at it , “ he was planning on proposing to me” I said in a low tone I couldn’t help my tears to flow out, why? Why did this happen to me? I asked in my mind. “ Death is something unpredictable, which is why every moment you live is a miracle” the man said. “ I love her!, I F*CKIN* LOVE HER… with all of my heart!  She stole my heart” Jacob exclaimed “ how can I live on knowing she’s not coming back?” he asked as he whimper and weep. As I heard him say that I asked the man in black a favor “ Please… I beg you… help me to comfort him for one last time..” when he heard my plea he sigh and nodded “ a minute that’s all I can give you” he said, I nodded with a smile and thanked him. “ My love” with a whisper tone I called for my lover it seems that he knew that it was me and followed my voice to the garden. “ Jasmine?” he said with a voice full of love “ Yes, it is me my love” as I answered him he cried his heart out as he spoke “ Jasmine please I ask of you.. please don’t leave me.. stay here with me… please don’t leave me alone in this world you’re the one that gave light to my dark world you can’t go now, not now that you have my heart with you..” I couldn’t control my sadness, with his voice pleading, begging me “ I-I—I can’t , there are things that are unpredictable in this world but please always remember I’m always here above watching you” as I replied him holding back my tears from coming out “ but I don’t want to” he said with determine voice “ I rather die than live in a world without you by my side” and with that………
