Episode 15

As I entered my room, I laid down on my bed, and Sofia quickly prepared antibiotics to alleviate the pain in my body.

She injected it into my arm, then turned around to prepare everything to clean my wounds again.

Miki frowned, and I could tell that if it weren't for my serious injuries, he and I could have had a memorable fight...

Only once have Miki and I fought, and it was because we both disagreed with a deal that turned out exactly as I had warned.

Miki spent three days in bed due to the beating I gave him, while I had to do his work until he recovered. From that day on, we never fought again. Miki doesn't disobey my orders, and I will never hit him again.

Miki helped me take off my shirt, his annoyance becoming even more evident when he saw the blood-soaked bandage.

"Damn it, Lawrence! You're an idiot," Miki whispered, taking scissors from the nightstand drawer.

Then he carefully began to cut the bandage. The pain started to dissipate from my body, and I felt my eyelids growing heavier.

I tried not to lose consciousness to be aware when Marcela woke up, but I couldn't fight for long.

"Just let go and sleep," Sofia said.

Those were the last words I heard before completely closing my eyes. When I opened them again, I realized it was already nighttime, and the scent of warm milk reached my nostrils.

It's an aroma that bothers me too much, especially because it brings back bad memories. I say bad because they remind me of my childhood, the happy moments I lived with my mother.

I lifted my head slightly and looked at Sofia sitting in the armchair near the window. She was reading a gossip magazine and drinking a glass of warm milk.

"Do you want to fall asleep?" I murmured, catching Sofia's attention.

Immediately, Sofia looked up, a huge smile appearing on her lips. She put the glass of milk on the table beside her and walked towards me.

"Have you woken up? I will inform Mr. Miki," Sofia said excitedly.

Before Sofia could leave to inform Miki that I had woken up, I grabbed her hand to prevent her from leaving the room.

Sofia smiled, misinterpreting the gesture I had just made towards her.

"How is she?" I asked, wanting to know how my Angel was doing.

However, Sofia's smile disappeared from her lips, and she looked down sadly. Sofia held my hand tightly and placed it on her chest.

"What does she have that I don't?" she asked.

Then, I let go of Sofia's hand. Sofia is just another woman with whom I only want to have fun. Our relationship won't go beyond a few kisses. It's illogical for her to have any illusions with me.

"Don't make false illusions, and don't try to compare yourself to her," I replied coldly to Sofia's question.

Tears began to fall from Sofia's brown eyes, but she didn't give up and leaned in to kiss me with the intention of doing so passionately.

"Lawrence, I can be so much better than her or any other woman in every way. Just give me a small chance to prove it!" Sofia replied sadly.

I felt nothing seeing Sofia crying in front of me. From the beginning, I was very clear that she is nothing to me.

Plus, Sofia has only been in my life for a few hours, and she already wants to become Mrs. Shop. How foolish...

"Sofia, you're not a woman I want for anything more than a little bit of fun," I said, hoping to break her foolish illusions.

"Lawrence, if you only want me for fun, I accept it. But don't try to push me away," Sofia's words seemed absurd to me.

"Leave my room and call Miki," I ordered, moving my hands away from her...

Sofia smiled again, then passionately kissed my lips for a few seconds. Although I didn't appreciate what she did, I chose not to say anything.

Sofia left my room, and within seconds, Miki and Santiago entered.

"Miki told me that your wounds had reopened and it scared me," Santiago mentioned as he sat on the right side of my bed.

Miki, on the other hand, stood in front of me without saying a word, but by the way he was looking at me, I could guess what he was thinking.

"How is Marcela?" I asked.

"She's fine, she'll regain consciousness soon. But there's a..." Santiago commented, but Miki's deadly gaze silenced him.

"Shut your damn mouth!" Miki said angrily.

"Get up from the bed right now, and get out of here!"

"Miguel, you're not the boss. Why should I obey your orders?" Santiago replied, refusing to leave the room.

"Damn it, Santiago, for your own good, don't make me angry!"

I couldn't stand listening to the argument between these two idiots any longer. I had a strange feeling that Miki didn't want Santiago to say something.

"Enough from both of you! I don't want to hear your stupid argument anymore."

"I said leave right now!" Miki said.

"What's going on?" I asked both of them.

Santiago got up from the bed and walked to the door of the room, fully intending to leave.

"Stop, Santiago. You won't leave until you tell me why Miguel wants to kick you out," Miki and Santiago remained silent.

Neither of them said a word, which infuriated me.

"Speak!" I exclaimed.

"Marcela is..." Before Santiago could finish speaking, Miki dropped a bombshell that I didn't expect.

"That woman is pregnant! She should leave this house as soon as she wakes up!"

I was stunned, I didn't expect my Angel to be pregnant.

"Arrange everything for her to leave as soon as she is well," I ordered Miki.

I closed my eyes, I no longer want to have anything to do with Marcela. It's best for her to leave and start her life with her child far away from me.

I only heard the footsteps of Miki and Santiago leaving my room.
