I don't remember how many hours I've been unconscious; I just remember a damn car stopping in front of me in the middle of the street. A hooded man peered out of the car window, pulled out a small gun, and shot at my body over and over again. I remember briefly opening my eyes, and there she was, like an angel, trying to save my life. Then everything turned dark, and the last thing I heard were some people screaming. I can't erase her face from my mind, her determination to keep me alive, how she clung to every second to prevent me from dying.
"Mr. Shop, we need to check your wounds again," said one of the nurses who had been taking care of me all night.
I opened my eyes with difficulty; each of those damn wounds had deeply hurt my body, but luckily, no bullets damaged any organs. In less than a week, I'll be able to return to my normal life.
"Mr. Shop, I'm going to start injecting a medication to numb the pain while I clean the wounds."
I turned to look at the girl since she had a very sensual voice. The girl who was hired to be my nurse for a while, but I already had a new woman to fill that spot. The girl in front of me was truly beautiful, with long brown hair, soft brown eyes, a slim figure, and incredibly gentle hands. But she couldn't compare to the woman who saved my life last night. She is truly beautiful, and her gaze had enchanted me, even though I had only seen her for a few seconds. She's the woman I want for myself.
"What's your name?" I asked.
"Sofia," the girl replied, smiling nervously.
I lowered my gaze; her hands trembled as she tried to inject something into my arm. When she noticed me looking, she sensually bit her lower lip. She was just like any other girl. I stopped looking at her and turned to Santiago, who was sitting on the last sofa near the window, but I didn't see Miki anywhere.
"Where is Miki?" I asked Santiago, who had his eyes fixed on his computer.
"Miki went out last night; as always, he didn't say where he was going," Santiago replied.
"Call him and tell him I've woken up!" I ordered Santiago.
"Lawrence, do you really want me to call him?" Santiago whispered with disbelief.
"Didn't you hear my order?" I said coldly.
Santiago got up from the sofa and took out his phone to call Miki, while the girl removed the bandages from my body. "You're lucky the bullets didn't damage any organs," the girl mentioned, placing her hand on my chest. Her hand started to caress my torso slowly. I enjoyed feeling her small hands on my body; the girl was enchanting, but I wasn't in the mood to have anything to do with her right now. I raised my gaze with a furrowed brow; the girl was overstepping her duty.
"Finish treating the wounds; then you can leave," I ordered her seriously.
Immediately, Sofia withdrew her hand from my chest, lowered her gaze in embarrassment, and began doing her job as a nurse, healing each of the wounds on my body. Sofia finished organizing her things, but she didn't give up and placed her hands on my chin.
"If you need some company, just call me, and I'll come right away. I'm not only good at healing wounds," Sofia said, kissing the corner of my lips.
I placed my hand on her waist and pulled her closer to me. Sofia leaned in and passionately kissed my lips. She climbed onto the bed, carefully parting her legs so as not to hurt my wounds. I placed my hands on her buttocks, lifting her white dress. Sofia kissed my neck and slowly moved down my torso.
Sofia was an expert in kissing without becoming vulgar. Her kisses were fiery, making any man lose his mind.
However, just as she was about to pull down my pajama pants, the door to the room opened.
"Lawrence, it seems I arrived at a bad time!" Santiago said as he entered the room.
Santiago is the guy who has been working for me for a couple of years. He is very intelligent and excellent with technology. That has helped me tremendously in the past two years.
Sofia promptly got off the bed and straightened her clothes. I glanced at Santiago, who was only smiling mockingly.
"Where is Miguel?" I asked Santiago again.
Santiago walked over to where the bed was, giving a nod to the girl as a signal for her to leave.
"What's going on?" I asked Santiago.
"Miki went to the city center. It'll take him a few hours to get back," he replied, forcing a nervous smile.
"Why did Miguel go to the city?"
"Lawrence, I don't know. I'm just another employee of yours."
I straightened my back against the headboard of my bed, reached my hand to the right side, and grabbed the phone next to me.
"What are you doing, Lawrence?" Santiago shouted, agitated.
"I want you to bring the woman who saved my life," I responded.
Santiago started pacing back and forth, growing increasingly nervous. I didn't like that; something had happened with her.
"Santiago, tell me now, what is going on?" I demanded.
"Did Miki do something to her, right?" I asked furiously.
"Lawrence, I honestly don't know what happened. Miki went into the room where they had the girl locked up and then came out with a huge smile on his lips."
"Oh, my God, Lawrence..."
"Miki is a man who loves women, especially when he's high," Santiago said.
"I hope Miki didn't dare to lay a hand on her!" I said coldly.
