Shang Yan’s heart skipped a beat.

As Qu Xiao buried her head in his embrace, some of her hair fell on his neck. It emitted a lemon fragrance, seeming to be intentionally teasing his Adam’s apple.

Shang Yan’s eyes darkened. He wanted to push her away.

There was a rhythmic knock on the door.

The two of them turned their heads at the same time. Shang Xinchen leaned against the door frame and clapped with a teasing expression. “Amazing!”

“Yesterday, you were demanding to leave with Ling Chi. But today, you throw yourself at my brother. You’re really a heartless and slutty b*tch!”

Shang Xinchen’s words were harsh. Qu Xiao’s face flushed as her fingers twisted the hem of her clothes.

Shang Yan signaled with his eyes for Shang Xinchen to shut up.

Shang Xinchen walked in front of Shang Yan. He tried his best to adjust his tone and persuade him, “Shang Yan, because of her, the company’s stock price has been affected. Now, it has dropped by five percent.”

“The shareholders all want you to divorce her. Otherwise, they will withdraw their stocks. You can’t be soft-hearted!”

There was a moment of silence in the room. Qu Xiao lowered her head and secretly thought, “Gosh! How many stupid things have you done!”

Now, even if she wanted to rebuild a good impression in Shang Yan’s heart, she would probably have to think of a way to stay first.

Shang Yan played the video on his phone. Qu Xiao’s voice came from it. Every word she said made Qu Xiao wish to hide. She was so embarrassed that her face blushed.

Shang Xinchen crossed his arms and raised his chin as he stared at Qu Xiao.

He pondered for a while and finally said, “Call the doctor over to take a look. We’ll put the divorce aside for now and talk about it when she gets better.”
