Kidnapped

Kidnapped

kidnapped Avyanna

Being a teenager has been hard, for me at least. My friends havent talked to me in months. They whisper behind my back and gossip so much - everything that happens to me is the topic of discussion around the school and on social media, mostly because everything that happened to me nowadays is stupid and emberassing.

I can't stand being like this anymore, but it feels like there's no way for me to catch up with my age group now. All they see when they look at me is a freak. Every single one of them thinks I'm some kind of psychopath.

Before all this happened, I used to have good friends. Everyone thought I was a helpful angel. Nowadays though, it doesn't matter where I go, someone sees fit to put me down. Even the elders seem to think that my whole family is a bunch of evil people.

This only started happening after my mom died. My mother was a respected and loved member of our small town. After she died and the police stated that she was choked to death, everyone thought my dad did it. They say he's a bad person because they think before he used to treat like a dog before she died. They also think he's a murderer because they think that he killed my mother. They call him a monster.

Now I have to live with my dad and no one really respects my dad adn my brother is in military trining. Dont know how long thats gonna take. As a result, I`m caught up in my fathers shadow, as the daughter of a murderer.

My father told me that he was leaving work late and that we should not lock the front door. I did as I was asked and did not lock the front door, only the windows and the back door.

I waited for him for a couple but finaly gave up. I got up from the couch and was about to go get ready for bed, when I heard the front door open and close. I thought it was my dad so I thought nothing of it. I go downstairs to check if he is here or I was hearing things.

Dad? I shout but get no responce so I just shrug it off.

As I was walking to my room, I heard a sound from the kitchen and followed it. I slowly opened the door and saw a short dark figure.

Dad, what are you doing? I ask, confused about why my father was opening and closing a bunch of drawers.

He stood straight and turned around. I freeze, unsure of what to do as I stare at the figure in front of me. It was dark, but I could tell it wasn't my dad. The looked nothing like my dad or my brother. My father was short and slim while my brother was tall and muscular. This figure lookes like a combination of both.

Feeling unsafe with an unknown humanin the dark, I turn and was about to the light on ~~ Dont even think about it. The figure spoke, it was a man. I felt something cold at the back of my neck and whimpered. Don't scream. Don't talk, just follow me; otherwise, you'll regret it, do you understand? he threatened. I immediately nod my head. Now move.

I stand frozen in place, unable to move in fear. Move! the man shouted. I flinch and begin moving towards the door.

Even though they didn't care, I made sure not to wake up the neighbors so that they wouldn't tell my dad. I know that he will eventually figure it out since the house will be on fire without me there. But I don't want him to get the information from the neighbors. I want him to figure it out himself.

Why would it be possible that I'm about to be kidnapped? I am not rich; I have no money. What do they want from me?

I got into a black van, and everything was pitch black. I couldn't make out anything. It is terrifying. I was bracing myself for the worst. I could feel it in my bones. I was expecting the worst.

They are either going to kill me, use me as a slave, or rape me. Or maybe they are going to use me as a sleeve then rape me then kill me then bury me in some ditch I imagined. That was all I could think about: what they were going to do to me?

My heart rate increased as we approached a stop. I wanted to write a farewell letter to my father to tell him not to worry and to take care of himself and not hurt my brother. Or at the very least, see him and my brother one more time. I believe that that is it. I am going to die.

When we started to move something hit me on the head, hard. Everything started to spin, and the sounds around me began to fade. And then darkness.

I woke up to an eerie sound coming from the other side of the wall. I couldn't tell if they were coming from the sounds of the wind or if the gate was being sealed. Whatever it was, it sounded louder than the wind. It sounded like a combination of both. Because of the blinding light in the room, I struggled to open my eyes. I tried to move after recovering my thoughts, but I couldn't. Something was pulling me back. When I turned around to see what was pulling me back, I noticed chains attached to the wall and around my wrist.

Where am I? Why am I here? Am I going to die? Those were the questions that came to mind at that exact moment.

I tried to move my arm but I was unable to. I tried to move my legs but they were tied to my bed. I tried to scream, then I looked outside and it was dark. People are probably sleeping if there is anyone out there at all. My heart was pounding and I felt like I was going to faint. I tried to calm myself down but immediately a splitting headache started.

"It hurts, and I understand how you feel. Just take deep breaths, at least we are alive. They'll be hitting you on the head a lot, so get used to it." A soft voice said. Lydia is my name. Lydia Knight she said.

Her serenity made me nervous. It was obvious she had been through something horrible. She sounded as if she was trying to comfort me. But it didn't stop me from thinking that she was going to kill me though. While I couldn't see her face, I could feel that Lydia was a kind person, a gentle soul. So was her voice. It was soft, and she spoke like she was talking to an adult. No one has spoken to me like that since my mother died.

Where am I? How did I get here? I panicked.

Black Gate. I woke and there you were. Dont worry.

"Your voice. How are you calm in this situation? You sound like you have nothing to worry about." I spoke in disbelief.

"Yours doesn't sound like you are living in a peaceful place. It sounds like you are scared. So, am I, and trust me when I say, I am calm because I know now that I am not going to die alone. That's why I'm trying to comfort you. I dont want both of us to be freaking out."

After a while it was clear from the beginning that I wasn't going to end up dead. After realising that Lydia had been here for a very long time I can tell because she is sitting next to me, wearing some kind of long-sleeved dress with a high collar. She wore a long chain around her neck and on her right hand. The moonlight showed on her revealing a major scar on her stomach and shoulder. Or maybe she just has an abusive parent, either way the scars look at least a month old from my point of view.

"Lydia," I said, "tell me how you got here."

She laughed softly before answering through a pained smile that only barely masked itself behind politeness. "Let's just say that it involves lots of blood and pain, though not as much as you might think. It's kind of hard to explain," she replied, shaking her head as if still trying to come to terms with it all herself.

I looked out the window and thought about the fact that I was probably going to die. Yet, Lydia remained calm and continued to talk to me like I was an adult, something I hadnt experienced in a long time. She told me about why they had kidnapped us and not to worry. That theyd probably let us go after they are done with us.
