After leaving the office, still pondering about his boss's mood, Adrian found Carla in the hallway. He knew she was probably heading to Benicio's office, yet he stopped her and noticed that her displeased expression towards him remained the same.

"Is my fiance in his office?" he asked, emphasizing the word "fiance."

"Yes, he is, miss," Carla replied.

Carla didn't even thank him; she simply walked past him and went into Benicio's office. Once again, Adrian couldn't understand what she had against him, since he had never done anything to her. He watched her walk away, shook his head, and then proceeded to his own office.

Carla, as usual, didn't want to be announced. Gabriela didn't bother trying to announce her anymore, as she knew it would be futile. As soon as Carla entered the office, she was met with a reproachful look from her fiance, but she ignored it.

"Busy much?" she approached him and gave him a kiss.

"A bit, I didn't think you would show up here since you said you had a headache earlier," he replied.

"Don't worry, I'm feeling much better now. I couldn't resist coming to see you," she spoke with an affectionate tone.

"But lately, you've been coming here more than usual. Is there a reason I don't know about?" He was growing suspicious.

"What other reason would I have to come here, if not for you?" Carla wouldn't admit that she was coming to the company out of jealousy. Initially, she wanted to know who would be hired as her fiance's assistant, whether it was a man or a woman. Even after finding out it was a man, she still had her reasons for wanting Adrian to stay away from her fiance.

While she flattered her fiance, the woman who helped Fabio set Adrian up went up to him to inquire about the report. She had to deliver it to her superior soon, so she knocked on Adrian's office door and entered.

"Good morning, coworker. Did you do me that favor I asked for? Was it done yesterday?" she asked cheerfully.

"I'm sorry, but I wasn't able to finish what you asked. I could only complete a part of it," Adrian replied.

The woman's expression immediately changed after hearing what he said. If she didn't deliver the report, she would be in serious trouble.

"What do you mean you didn't do it? Do you realize I need to submit it soon?" she spoke indignantly.

"I apologize, but as I mentioned, I couldn't finish it yesterday. I even stayed beyond my working hours, and..."

"Are you telling me that even with overtime, you couldn't manage to complete it? You should have informed me earlier to avoid the situation I'm in now," she interrupted him disrespectfully.

Adrian was trying to maintain his composure and politeness; after all, it was only his second day in the company, and he didn't want to stir up any trouble. However, he couldn't allow her to continue speaking to him in that manner.

"I think your memory is quite short. You came in here yesterday without even asking if I had the time or was willing to help. You came in here as if you were my boss. I already had my own tasks to complete, and you simply assumed that I would do what you asked, but that's not how things work."

Adrian confronted the woman, making her even more indignant. As the argument continued, Carla was passing by the office door and heard the commotion. Knowing whose office it was, she entered to find out what was happening, possibly seeking an opportunity to use the situation against Adrian.

Carla wasted no time and entered the office. Gabriela, observing the attitude of her boss's fiance, also approached to understand the situation.

"What is going on here?" Carla questioned as soon as she entered the office.

The woman who was arguing with Adrian already knew who Carla was, as Fabio had warned her about her desire to see Adrian out of the company. She decided to dramatize the situation.

"It's about a report I need to submit this morning. I entrusted the task to him yesterday, but he couldn't complete it, and now I'm in a bind."

"You just arrived at the company and you're already trying to harm your colleagues? That doesn't seem very professional of you, does it?" Carla took the opportunity to question Adrian's behavior.

Gabriela, who was listening to the argument from outside, saw that Adrian was being unfairly accused by the two women. She didn't hesitate to seek out Benicio, knowing that he could be strict but fair in his judgments and could help her colleague. Gabriela excused herself and entered her boss's office.

"Sir, I'm sorry for interrupting, but I believe you should go to Adrian's office. I'm afraid he's facing problems, and I know you can help him."

When Benicio heard that Adrian was facing problems, he didn't hesitate to get up from his chair and leave his office. He was determined to find out what was going on, although he already had an idea of what it could be.
