"Let's go inside, or our parents will come looking for us," said Alessia, linking her arm with mine.
"Let's go," I agreed as we walked toward the door.
We both entered the house within seconds, and after coming in we paused at the foot of the stairs.
The children couldn't stop smiling as Daniela played with them. "Everyone likes her. Why?"
"I think she looks good as a babysitter," Alessia said, her eyes shining with a light that wasn't admiration.
"Do you like her?" I asked, and she smiled before shaking her head.
"Yes, I would like to play with her; she seems so innocent, but... if I start playing I'll get into trouble, it's best to leave it as it is," she said with a side smile before sighing.
"Wow, my little sister held back when she sets her mind to something; I truly can't believe it. The day will dawn twice today," I said with a smile.
"With her AROUND, you smile more. I'll tell Stephy."
And just like that, my smile vanished completely.
"Alessandro, why haven't you killed Bleer yet? Aren't you bored? Find someone else," she said, looking me in the eye. Clearly, she did not want to be the center of the conversation.
"Because I haven't made him suffer enough," I replied, leaving her standing there as I approached the twins.
As soon as they saw me, they moved away from Daniela and ran to my side.
"Brother, is this lady your girlfriend?" asked Alma.
"She's very pretty. If she isn't your girlfriend, can I be with her when I'm as big as you?" asked Alexis.
"She's not my girlfriend. And you're too young to have a girlfriend," I said, playfully ruffling Alexis's hair.
"Your brothers are nice," said Daniela, as little Alma approached her for a hug.
"Will you play with us after dinner, friend?" asked Alma with all her innocence on display.
"Yes, of course, I'll play with you," she replied with a smile. I watched her, not wanting her to stay after dinner.
Just as I was about to speak, the doorbell rang, and my sister's screams reached my ears.
"Stepy!" she exclaimed excitedly. I turned toward the door and saw my girlfriend arriving with Charles and another girl.
I stepped away from Daniela and approached Stephy.
"I thought you had a family dinner?" I asked, drawing her to my side.
"I did, but my brother dropped in unexpectedly, so he wanted to come say hello. We spent the whole day with our parents, and your mom invited us to dinner, so here we are, love. Did you miss me?" Stephy smiled as she wrapped her arms around my shoulders.
"So, you didn't want to see me?" I asked as I held her by the waist, closing the distance between us.
"No, I didn't miss you at all," she said, moving in for a kiss.
"Uh-huh," I pulled her closer to me and kissed her.
The kiss was so passionate that if my siblings weren't around, I'd be making her mine right here.
"Cough," Charles coughed and cleared his throat. "It's all good that you want to devour my sister, but there are kids here," he said.
I stopped kissing Stephy but did not let go of her for a moment.
"Do you want to go upstairs?" I asked, still looking at her.
"Are we going to have sex?" she asked with a smile.
"You do realize we're here for dinner, right?" asked Alessia, her eyes trained on Charles's companion with something less than affection. This was going to be interesting.
"You all can dine on food while I feast on your brother," said Stephy.
"Who's your friend?" I asked Charles.
He took the girl's hand and said, "This is Alondra, my girlfriend."
"Hello, it's nice to meet you, Alondra. Charles asked me to spend some time with his family. He and I have been dating for three months," she said, looking at Charles with a smile.
"Hmm," Charles said nonchalantly, not displaying much excitement compared to the young woman beside him.
"It's exciting, Charles, you have a girlfriend, and she's pretty. What do you do?" asked Alessia, her smile stretching from ear to ear.
That was as believable as the Pope's father in the Vatican.
"I'm an educator," the girl responded to Alessia's question.
"Welcome to town. Charles and I have been childhood friends, sharing many great stories. Every girlfriend of Charles is family, so if you want a tour of the city, just ask. I'm more ready than a sock to show you the heavens in this town," Alessia said, her smile tender.
"Heaven," I raised an eyebrow as I watched her smile so sincerely.
I rolled my eyes and shook my head, but as I did, my gaze lingered on Daniela, who still watched us as a spectator.
"Let's go to the dining room," I said, taking Stephy's hand and walking toward the kitchen.
★Alessia
"It's so good to see you, Charles. We should get together to reminisce!" I exclaimed, and he smiled.
"Alessia, I don't think that will be possible; I won't be staying long," he said. "I'm just here to surprise my parents."
"I thought you'd stay longer, now that you're a CEO and have a girlfriend, have you forgotten your old friends?" I asked, trying to sound sweet, but I was actually quite annoyed, so I turned to look at my handsome "friend's" girlfriend.
"Let's go to the kitchen. I'm glad you're here anyway; it's good after all." I spoke as I walked toward the kitchen. "Friend Daniela, come with us, and kids, run or you won't get a seat." The children dashed into the kitchen, and I followed at my own pace.
My parents were already in the kitchen, the table set with various dishes, from the simplest to the most elaborate.
We all sat down at the table, Alessandro beside Stefy, my mother as usual to the right of my father, the twins to his left, then me, then Charles and his ridiculous girlfriend, with Charles by my side and Daniela at the end.
"What a surprise to see you here, young Walker," my father said as he served food to my mother.
"I was planning to come in a few days, but I decided to come back early. I had some business to attend to at..."
I put my hand on his leg and started moving it toward his groin.
"...my father's fine arts company, so..."
He grabbed my hand as it hovered over his thigh, stopping my movements as I began to caress him.
And that stupid girlfriend of his, still smiling at him. If only she knew I was trying to get him hard under the table.
"I'm here because there are some things I want to sort out before I leave," he said, releasing my hand, but I slipped my hand into his trousers again.
I began to touch him, but when mom asked, "And your companion?"
"She is Alondra, MY GIRLFRIEND." He emphasized "my girlfriend" and pulled my hand out of his pants, yet I slipped it back in.
Alondra turned to look at the man whose balls were in my grip. I let go when she directed that stupid smile at him, and he turned his head to look at me.
Charles is the spitting image of his father—of course, a younger version. Mr. Stephan is very handsome, and in his youth, I imagine he looked just like Charles. Damn it. Why does my heart race just looking at him and knowing he's here? Could it be that I missed him?
