Episode 4

"I must go take a shower!" I said, moving away from her.

"Can I shower with you?" she asked.

"We’re not kids anymore, it wouldn't be appropriate," I told her, and went to my room, knowing she had planned this because she didn't protest at all.

I took off my clothes and stepped into the shower with my eyes closed, hands braced against the wall, as the water cascaded down my body. I missed Stefy; being with others just isn’t the same as being with her.

Then, I felt warm hands on my back, I turned and saw my sister standing behind me.

"I told you no," I said to her.

"Brother, we're only going to shower!" she replied, grabbing the shampoo and starting to lather her hair, the foam covering her from head to toe, so it was too late to send her out.

We both took a shower, I stepped out and handed her a towel.

She began to dry herself while I wrapped my towel around my waist and left the bathroom. It wasn’t so strange, we’re twins and used to share the bath as kids, but now we’re 19, and we stopped a year ago because mom said it was time. There’s nothing sexual between my sister and me; that would be sick, plus she’s like my other half.

Although that wouldn’t really be bad, she’s the only one who gets me, I think. The best or worst part is that we are the most unusual siblings around.

I took off the towel, deciding what I'd wear, preferring to air dry.

"Why don’t you put something nice on and go see Stefy?" my sister suggested, pulling an outfit out of the wardrobe for me.

"I’m going to see her," I said as I took it from her.

I turned and saw her trying on an outfit that was lying on my bed, seemingly she had brought her clothes in before the shower.

"You should dress better, or you won’t get a boyfriend or girlfriend—I'm not even sure which you prefer more!" I said as I approached her and helped zip up her long floral dress.

"No, it's fun to play the innocent. I still like both," she said with a grin.

"But you could stop pretending at home; we all know what you’re like," I said, returning the smile.

"How am I?" she asked, placing her hand on my bare chest.

"A manipulator."

I turned and went to change.

"That's why mom doesn't want us to shower together!" she said with a grin.

"Stop ogling your brother, you crazy psycho," I said, and she started laughing so hard tears streamed from her eyes.

"As if you were that hot; I know guys who are hotter than you and better endowed."

"Idiot," I tossed a shirt from the wardrobe that hit her in the head.

"But it's true. I'm going out tonight; my 'friends' invited me to a club," she said.

"And you'll go dressed as a nun?" I said, pointing to her clothes.

"What’s wrong with that? I overheard them talking about spiking my drink. Tonight's going to be fun; they still think I'm a virgin."

"Enjoy yourself, little sister!" I said as I pulled on my pants and then my shirt.

"Are you going to see Stefy?" she asked.

"Maybe, I’m not sure yet. I think she’s going out with that jerk," I said, clenching my fists while she looked at me with an innocent face.

"Ha, if I were you, I'd kidnap her and tie her to the bed and give it to her hard, considering the cook liked what you did to her."

"Get out," I said coldly, and she turned around.

"Yes, I'll go eat," she winked at me and left my room, and I went to get combed before leaving.

I saw my younger siblings playing video games; they're 12 and the most well-behaved kids ever.

"Did you guys do your homework, you little devils?" I asked them.

"Hello, brother!" Alma said, throwing herself into my arms.

"We don't understand the homework," Alex admitted.

"I'll help you with it until dinner is ready," I said while carrying Alma in my arms.

"Thanks, brother; you're so smart," the kids were overjoyed as we walked to Alma’s room and sat down at her desk. I started explaining how to do simple math and trigonometric fractions.

I explained several times until they finally grasped how to do their homework.

In the end, they brought their notebooks to me to check if they had done it right.

Everything was correct, so they beamed with joy.

"Kids, time for dinner," my father said from the doorway.

"Coming, Dad," the little devils ran out of the room. They are fraternal twins, just like Alessia and me; looks like my parents have the twin gene.

"Alessandro, come down!" my father called.

"Dad, do you think they might turn out like Alessia and me?" I asked him as he approached a picture frame on the dresser displaying a photo of the fraternal twins hugging in the park.

"No, I think they’re like your mother, and you two are like me," he left the frame where it was.

"Have you decided what to do about Bleer?" he asked me.

"I'll kill him, but I need a new toy; I need it for my paintings!" I exclaimed.

"Alessandro, you sold a blood painting for half a million last month; congratulations," he smiled.

"Thanks, Dad; it looks like my art is appreciated by collectors, they even requested more, saying the paint I use is very special."

"Even though the 'inkwell' is boring you, find another, and perfect your paintings; you'll go far," he patted my back.

"Thanks for the encouragement, Dad," we both smiled and went down to the kitchen. The cook was nervous serving me, but she got so close I slipped my hand under her skirt and squeezed her behind. Her cheeks flushed red.

"Alessandro!" my mother's voice snapped, and I withdrew my hand immediately.

"How's university?" my mother asked while the cook retreated. But my mother looked at her as if she wanted to kill her.

"I didn’t go. I skipped today, Mom," I said, and she just smiled.

"Yes, all the girls were asking about you; I didn't know whether to say you were playing butcher or were sick!" Alessia chimed in.

"What's the butcher game?" asked Alma.
