I was reincarnated into a fantasy world.

It's a little hard to say this, but I'll be brief.

I am dead...

From a very young age I imagined myself as one of those heroes in movies and novels, leveling up, getting stronger and finding love.

I was never good at socializing, but I had friends whom I tried to convince to read the things that marked a turning point in my beginning as a compulsive reader.

I had a loving and supportive family who supported me in everything I set my mind to, but I was lazy and left a lot of things I could have been good at.....

But that's not the point, the real reason why I'm saying this is because everything I had in the world disappeared for me, because without warning when I woke up in the morning I had another body!

Yep just as you hear it, I don't know what happened or why I was transported to another world but what I do know is that my main goal will be one of the biggest isekai clichés.

To have a peaceful life.

In a well-lit room with many posters of unknown characters a rather annoyed young man wakes up.

"Ahhhhgg my head, I think I need to stop staying up all night reading.".

"Well! Where did we leave off yesterday...".

"And my cell phone? I swore I left it on the table.

Hmm.. Where I could have left it now,

it always gets lost on me and it's in the most obvious place."

"Aha! I found you wretch, so you were hiding on the floor, but.... HA HA HA YOU CANNOT ESCAPE FROM ME!".

"Ah? This isn't my cell phone, and now that I take a good look.... This isn't my room!".

The room was spacious with gray walls, it had a single bed, a small table with a lamp on it and a very modern looking computer on a work desk.

"No, I can't think right now."

"This is crazy!"

"The only logical explanation is Am I being held hostage?"

I felt chills just thinking about it.

"No, I'm not worth being kidnapped..."

"Besides, who would go to the trouble of leaving a nice, prepared room for someone they kidnapped."

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared at the time.

First things first, I'm going to go to the bathroom.

I got up quickly, but then I remembered something.

Oh right this isn't my room and I don't know where it is, I'll check over there.

Fortunately, the bathroom was in a door in the right corner of the room.

I walked noiselessly to the bathroom and as soon as I entered I turned on the light. And I looked at myself in the mirror, searching for some injury that would reveal if I was abducted.

"WHAAAAAAT!!!?".

I looked different, I still had the body of a 16 year old teenager, but I had a more masculine face and green colored eyes, my hair was brown, with a thinner and taller body about 6'2" smooth white skin with no imperfections and the few muscles I had increased very slightly, you could tell that the one this body didn't train much.

I touched my face and body speechless and not believing what had happened, but not so much, because when I noticed for the first time that my room had changed my mind the first thing I imagined was that I was sent to another world like in anime and light novels. Consequences of staying up until 6 am reading.

On second thought, isn't that what happened to me?

Thinking about it a couple of times, I came to the conclusion that I died and was reincarnated in another world.

I felt that something was squeezing my heart, a feeling that barely let me breathe, this was because I could no longer see my family and friends that I love so much, they would not know what happened to me.

So after that I wiped away the tears that were fighting to come out of my eyes and set out to make the best of it and be better in honor of my loved ones.

The only problem was.

"WHERE DID I REINCARN!!! And why?"

I was asking too many questions in the air that no one would answer me now.

If it was like in the fantasy novels would I have a system or something? I had nothing to lose anyway.

-So here we go System!

I waited and waited and nothing happened.

"Maybe it's another word."

"Statistics!"

Again nothing...

"That was disappointing, let's try another one."

"Stat!"

A window opened.

But then I remembered something.

Uh, right I don't know anything about this world, I think a good first step is to use that computer over there, maybe I'll find something useful.

I walked over to the computer on the desk and turned it on.

I had to research about what this new world was like, fortunately I had no password, which made it much easier for me to get on the internet, it was more advanced than the one I knew, something good about me was being very intuitive and understanding devices I hadn't seen just with my common sense.

I searched for world history, because I couldn't think of anything else and conveniently found what I was looking for.

I found that in the year 2045 planet earth was the victim of something known as the Genesis, as out of nowhere doors to other worlds opened in various locations and changed the structure of the atmosphere introducing mana to the planet, mutating living beings and empowering humans, as well as an individual status window that only you could see.

More dungeons were opened as time went by, which not only brought monsters, from which you could extract materials and on rare occasions a core, but also other intelligent races came to the planet such as dwarves, elves, demons and orcs. These themselves came to the planet to inhabit it and divided the planet into 5, one for each race counting the humans, not without nothing in return, as they were given a place in the alliance against the Kelim, who were intelligent and powerful beings, who by signing a contract with some race, were given power in exchange for being slowly consumed by their desires and to be under the orders of the Kelim.

After a long stage of trial and error, they managed to discover the books and runes of skills that allowed humans to defend themselves, the difference between these 2 was that the books you have to learn as a martial arts technique, with practice and study, while the runes managed to acquire a skill instantly, so they were rare to find, but although the runes and books were something useful, it was not very accessible to all, so little by little and with much effort or fulfilling specific conditions, humans could obtain unique abilities.

I also found that although the races are allied, the alliance would be only for emergencies against Kelim, nothing more, because although they join forces, each race valued strength and power, so they avoided relating with humans and were on bad terms. Although humans were weak in comparison to other species their perseverance made them advance, but not in such a good way, just as other members of the alliance did the humans by becoming strong believed themselves superior to the weak, which was adhering to human society over the years and now that the weak are discriminated and abused by the strongest is a day to day thing.

About the ranks I found that there is a big difference between one level and another every time you go up in rank your strength doubles and you get unique traits, only that most people have a limit that unless you do the impossible or use objects and artifacts you will not be able to keep growing.

About objects, they are just that objects that can be found on earth naturally or obtained in dungeons, while artifacts are pieces of equipment that are created on earth by humans or the other races, either armor or weapons that can give extra passive or active effects.

"Buuuff that was a lot to read."

"And looking at it objectively I'm weak so my life will be even more complicated."

"AAAH! Sounds like a novel written by someone fanatical about systems and becoming strong."

"Well now that I'm done researching let's get out of here."

I approached the door nervous about what might be behind it, I took a step forward and turned the handle, the next thing I saw were stairs heading down, my heart was going crazy and all I could think about was what was there in that space unknown to me, I steeled myself and walked down the stairs feeling every beat of my heart beat like a drum.

When I got downstairs I was surprised, there were some armchairs and tables with homey decorations and out of nowhere a woman who seemed to be in her 40's with brown hair, green eyes and quite pretty wearing a kitchen apron with a teddy bear print who was holding in her arms two small children between 1 and 2 years old, one was a boy dressed in gray and the other a girl dressed in pink clothes with white dots.

Before I could snap out of my thoughts, the woman turned around and looked at me with loving eyes.

"Good morning Tim, you woke up just in time for breakfast sleepyhead!" Said the woman.

"W-who me?" I exclaimed in thought.

"Who else, do you see anyone behind you son?"

At that moment it all made sense to me, I just reincarnated as the son of a family and I have two little brothers and a mother, but I haven't seen my new father.

"One question m-mom" I asked still not used to it.

"Yes dear?" asked my mother.

"Where is daddy?" I said.

"Well...he..."

I shivered slightly fearing the worst.

"He left again too early for the guild, that leadership job takes up all his time during the week."

"But well, what can you do..."

"How about we start breakfast, your brothers are already crying with hunger."

I felt infinitely relieved and reassured that I hadn't screwed up with my question, the father could very well be dead and that would give me away as an imposter.

I finally sat down at the table to have breakfast with my new family.
