Meanwhile, on the other side, within the branch office owned by Mr. Abraham, a crucial meeting is currently taking place with clients who are none other than Adi Sanjaya and his daughter, Diva Sanjaya.
Mr. Abraham, who is seated alongside one of his assistants, promptly begins to review the partnership proposal submitted by Adi Sanjaya's company.
They run a significant property business, and at present, Adi is striving to forge a collaboration to have Mr. Abraham's company supply properties from his firm.
After perusing the partnership proposal, Mr. Abraham's assistant looks up at his boss with a prolonged gaze.
Adi Sanjaya and Diva exchange nervous glances, anxious about the powerful man's decision...
Especially Diva, who is eager to establish a partnership so she can inquire about Mr. Abraham's son, who has piqued her curiosity immensely.
"Mr. Adi Sanjaya, I have perused your partnership dossier, and I must say, I am quite impressed with the mission and profits you propose to offer," says Mr. Abraham, prompting both listeners to smile delightedly.
"And so... what's your verdict, sir? Does Mr. Abraham accept this partnership?" asks Adi Sanjaya in a soft voice.
"In truth, I am not actively seeking a supplier for my company, yet... given our mutual benefits, there is no harm in engaging in this partnership."
"Really!!! Does that mean you accept the partnership, Mr. Abraham?" Adi Sanjaya confirms, eager to verify what he has heard.
"Yes, Mr. Adi Sanjaya, but... there must be no deceit in any agreement for I have my own stipulations. One more thing you should know, sir—I am not willing to cooperate with anyone but you, meaning if someday your firm falls to your daughter, then I will end our partnership there and then," declares Mr. Abraham, leaving Diva stunned. Why Mr. Abraham would set such a condition?
And what if she succeeds in gaining full control of Adi Sanjaya's wealth, including the company—does that mean the partnership she holds with Mr. Abraham, which will continue through his son, all ends here...
"No... that cannot happen. Before I uncover the identity of Mr. Abraham's son, the Sanjaya company mustn't halt the collaboration with that major firm; you are the soft target, Diva thinks confidently to herself, as this will secure my own affluent existence without the specter of poverty," muses Diva inwardly, while a faint smile adorns her face. Mr. Abraham, engrossed in serious conversation, notes the woman's demeanor.
"Mr. Adi Sanjaya, is this young lady your secretary?" Mr. Abraham inquires, causing Diva's eyes to widen.
"Oh, allow me to introduce her—Mr. Abraham, this is Diva Sanjaya, my daughter who also serves as my secretary."
"Is that so... how impressive your daughter must be," Mr. Abraham compliments, which pleases Diva to no end.
"Thank you for the compliments, Mr. Abraham," she responds.
"Yes... you truly deserve it. By the way, do you have other daughters as well, Mr. Adi Sanjaya?"
"Yes, Mr. Abraham, I have one more daughter. Her name is Arimbi Sanjaya."
"Oh...does Miss Arimbi work at your company too? I'm sure she is just as beautiful as her sister," Mr. Abraham comments, rendering Diva speechless.
Dread...
"No...how could Mr. Abraham discuss and praise that wretched woman instead? Can't he recognize that I surpassed Arimbi's beauty? This cannot be tolerated," Diva fumes with irritation.
The conversation continues lively, mostly about the absent Arimbi, much to Diva's dismay. Why does Mr. Abraham seem more inclined to discuss Arimbi, whom he's never met?
It appears that Diva must tarnish Arimbi's name before Mr. Abraham to prevent any further discussions about her.
"Excuse me, Mr. Abraham, for my forwardness, but...surely you do not know Arimbi. Even we, her own family, despise her. Arimbi is a defiant woman, which is why my father decided to demote her to a janitor in our company, to make her realize her misdeeds," Diva interjects, startling both men.
"Diva..! What are you saying?" Adi Sanjaya questions with displeasure, while Mr. Abraham quietly observes.
Mr. Abraham is keen to discover the truth about the family of the girl his son fancies. Truly, is Arimbi treated that badly, and what about her only brother?
"Let it be, Father...let Mr. Abraham learn that you have one daughter beyond control. Just so you are aware, Mr. Abraham, Arimbi is stubborn. Besides defying my father, she has disgraced our family. A woman like her does not deserve to be amongst the high society," asserts Diva.
"What did Arimbi do that brought shame upon Mr. Adi Sanjaya?" Mr. Abraham inquires, full of curiosity.
Adi Sanjaya remains silent, bowing his head in profound disappointment, his stepdaughter brazenly revealing Arimbi's faults in front of an inappropriate audience.
"Yes... all because Arimbi chose to date a humble motorcycle taxi driver over obeying father's orders to keep away. Imagine if you had a rebel child like her, Mr. Abraham—I am sure you would expel such a woman from your family, wouldn't you?"
"Perhaps so, Diva. It seems Mr. Adi Sanjaya's daughter has quite modest tastes," Mr. Abraham remarks, feigning agreement.
Internally, he seethes with rage at Diva's audacity to insult his son indirectly.
"Wretched girl, your true colors show. It's no wonder you disdain my son. Wait and see, I will elevate Arimbi to a special place in the Abraham family, and you will regret your contempt. Bara, my son, will support you," Mr. Abraham silently vows.
