After what happened, Samael continued to act as usual, leaving the house accompanied by his guards, while for Neal it was the same routine, going back and forth with Anne, until one day, during a party, Neal had to be present as Anne's escort, but as usual he had to be hiding from Dylan, something Samael had noticed, at first he thought it was just his imagination, but it has happened several times.
"Is Dylan Harvey an ex of yours?"
Neal turns to Samael with a disgusted look.
"My tastes aren't that bad, I'm not desperate enough to go for that."
He even felt nauseous just thinking about it. Seeing him act like that, in a way, was a relief to Samael.
"Why are you hiding from him?"
"Well, he... an old friend owed him money, but he ran away, I don't want to run into him and he recognizes me. He'll probably torture me into telling him where the one who ran away is."
And he knows for sure that this is how mobsters work, in his past life he had to beat up a few guys, guarantors of a debtor.

Neal let out a sigh, apparently the brown-haired man believed him, Samael entered a room, so Neal followed him, but before he could say anything, he was already pinned against the door and with Samael's lips on his, that's what he didn't expect, but he couldn't resist, he just rested his hands on the brown-haired man's chest while he returned the kiss; Samael slid his hands down to hold Neal's waist and bring him closer to his body.
"Holy sh*t, where did those two go? They must be somewhere dark making out."
The voice heard from the other side was Anne's, the girl already had her coat on and was followed by other guards, among them Josh, who was also looking for his boss.
"If your brother hears you, he'll be mad at you."
"Josh, my dear Josh, my brother can't be mad at something that's true."
"I don't think your brother and Neal are what you say they are."
"You're the only one who denies it, but I know Neal is my lovely sister-in-law."
Behind the door, Neal couldn't help but bite Samael's lip upon hearing what Anne was saying.
"That girl..."
He wanted to grab the doorknob to get out, but Sameal stops him and looked angry about the bite.

He didn't expect Samael to ask him such a thing, but he didn't hesitate, Neal hugs the brown-haired man by the neck and after licking where he had bitten, the kiss started again.
Anne continued searching, even Dylan had approached her upon seeing her desperate.
"I'll take you home, he should have left by now."
"I'll go with Josh and the guys."
"I can't let you go alone with them."
"The guys aren't like you think they are, we hire decent people. Josh get the car."
Josh obeys immediately and goes to get the car, while the other guys go with Anne, Dylan is just left annoyed, Anne leaving early is a nuisance, as it only causes his father to bother him because he can't keep the girl and she is necessary, the engagement must continue for the family union, although Dylan plans to find a way to break that engagement, for him, Emily is the only one who can be his wife. Later Neal and Samael leave the place, although they have to leave by cab since they took all the cars, but they stop at the entrance of a hotel, Neal is surprised to get out.
"A little coffee first, don't you think?"
"You idiot, there's a restaurant on the third level, let's go."
"I understand, you're going to feed me and then you're going to get me drunk and take me upstairs."
Samael just flicks him on the head. Upon reaching the restaurant area, Samael gives his name and they both enter to be shown to a private table, plus they had a good view from the window.
"Wow, night view, I like it."
"It's better on the balcony, but it's cold, we wouldn't be comfortable."
"If you hug me, it would be fine, we can keep each other warm."
"It's not something I can do in public."
When they are handed the menu, Neal orders a pork steak, while Samael just orders some fish, along with a bottle of wine, while the food arrives, Neal chats with the brown-haired man about his life on the streets, although he doesn't lie, but everything he tells is about his past life. Later after a nice dinner, both of them have returned home, Anne was in the living room and when they see them come in together, the girl gives Josh a mocking smile, which indicates that she was right and they were together.
"What a surprise, you both arrived together."
"Don't be jealous, I'll go for a walk with you too."
Neal already takes a seat near Anne, while Samael orders Josh to set the security alarms and for those on the night shift to begin their rounds, those who have finished work can go to sleep. Anne goes upstairs after Samael, while Neal grabs a bottle of water and goes to his room, he is exhausted, but he had a delicious dinner. The next day the routine was the same, only that at the end of the working day, Samael would take Neal out to dinner, for Anne it was more than obvious what was going on between them.
For Neal it was still a bit strange, those outings, he was not entirely convinced, since surely the brown-haired man just wanted to experiment, not that it bothered him, but he knows that when Samael's curiosity runs out the situation will be uncomfortable.
"Hey, we've been out a few times, am I supposed to take this as dating?"
Samael stops writing to look up at the black-haired man.
"Isn't it obvious? Why, have you fallen for me already?"
Samael gives him a sly smile, while Neal just looks away.
"It's going to take more than a few dates to make me fall for you, I'm not easy."
"Do you want me to introduce you to my father? I don't think you'll fool him if you wear a dress and a wig."
"Hey, I don't need to dress up as a girl, he'll love me."
"That man only loves himself."
Samael returns his gaze to his documents, that man he calls father, is nothing more than an old man who looks out for his own benefits. Neal stands up and approaches to hug the brown-haired man.
"Why is that?"
"I just wanted to..."
Samael closes his eyes as he is against the black-haired man's chest, it felt good to be hugged by him.
