Episode 20

Ello ran towards the twins who were playing in the park. However, he didn't want to come empty-handed. Two ice cream cones were already in his hands and Ello was ready to meet Zoey and Zio.

"Zoey!" Ello called out with a beaming smile adorning his face.

Upon hearing her name being called, Zoey turned and found the man from the airport who had ruined her doll. "That's the uncle from before!" she exclaimed, her eyes widening and her mouth slightly open.

The nanny had no idea and was not informed that Ello was the twins' biological father whom they were supposed to avoid. That's why she didn't mind seeing Ello approaching again.

"Hi, pretty girl! Are you playing here?" the young man asked, offering ice cream to the little girl.

Zio, who was previously engrossed with his ball, now turned to Ello and Zoey. The little boy still considered Ello as a suspicious stranger. To protect his little sister, he ran and grabbed Zoey's hand to shield her.

"Hi, do you want ice cream too?" Ello offered to Zio.

The boy only glanced briefly at the ice cream still in Ello's hand, then looked at him cynically. "Why are you here, Uncle? Do you live here too? Or did you follow us?"

Ello was taken aback by Zio's surly attitude. Apparently, the boy couldn't be friendly towards Ello, who had damaged his sister's toy.

"I just happened to be passing by. Oh, by the way, we haven't been properly introduced!" Ello said while extending his hand. "My name is Ello!"

Zoey looked at her nanny, who had been standing alertly behind her. After seeing her caregiver nod, Zoey accepted Ello's outstretched hand with her small hand. "Lavender!" the little girl replied sweetly.

Ello raised an eyebrow. If he remembered correctly, the girl's name was Zoey, not Lavender. But he thought he had just misheard, so he gave the ice cream to the little girl who was actually his own flesh and blood. "This ice cream is for the beautiful Lavender!" Then, he looked at Zio, who showed no interest in him. "And who are you?"

Zio sighed heavily. He actually didn't want to get acquainted with Ello, but Zio also couldn't ignore the nanny's request to be polite to anyone.

"Elvander!" the boy replied curtly, shaking hands with Ello.

Ello gave the remaining ice cream to Zio. "This is for the handsome one!"

As Meisya's ex-boyfriend, Ello then introduced himself formally to Zio and Zoey's nanny as a gesture of courtesy. Afterwards, he asked for permission to have a brief conversation with Zoey to discuss the doll he had broken.

"Is your name really Lavender, and is Elvander your twin?" Ello started the conversation with the beautiful little girl.

"Yes, Mama and Papa call me Lavender and him Elvander. Everyone says we're twins, Uncle!" Zoey replied while enjoying the ice cream in her hand.

Ello smiled faintly. He was now sure that he had misheard before. "Oh, I see. Oh, by the way, Lavender. How about we meet here tomorrow, around this time in the afternoon? Because Uncle feels really guilty towards you, so tomorrow Uncle will buy the exact same doll, along with a bonus. Would you like that?"

Ello truly felt guilty towards the adorable child. Fortunately, now he knew where he could find Zoey, who always reminded him of Meisya. When he looked into Zoey's eyes, the longing for Meisya that had been held back for so long could be somewhat alleviated.
