The derogatory words that came out of Mama Ello's mouth ignited a flame of hatred in Meisya's heart. She already suspected that Ello's parents would not believe that she was carrying Ello's child.

Meisya felt so hurt when Ello's birth mother accused her of being a promiscuous woman who could have relationships with other men. However, the mistake that the woman made with Ello did make others think badly of Meisya and accuse her of such things. The problem was, Meisya was too willing and easily swayed by Ello's persuasion, which proved that she was a woman who was easily influenced and had no strong principles.

In this matter, even if Meisya screamed and denied it, it would still be difficult to make Ello's parents believe that she was a good woman. A good woman would surely be able to keep herself pure for her husband, right? Whatever the reason, she should not have done something that would make her regretful and haunted by guilt alone.

"I don't want Mirna and Rendy to be insulted because of me. I can definitely take care of my child on my own," Meisya said, not wanting to beg Ello's parents anymore.

Rendy stood up and looked at Mama and Papa Ello alternately with a piercing gaze. He couldn't demand anything, even if it was through legal channels. After all, Ello and Meisya were of legal age and they did it willingly and knowingly. There was no article that could be used to sue Ello since they were both still single and not bound by marriage to someone else. So, in terms of the law, Ello couldn't be sued through legal channels.

"Just terminate the pregnancy so you won't embarrass yourselves. This is what happens when you're not a real woman. Ello is so pitiful for being in a relationship with such a low woman," Ello's father retorted, demeaning Meisya loudly.

"Sya, we can do a DNA test even though the child hasn't been born yet," Mirna spoke up, still not giving up.

"No, sis. This child will still be mine. They've rejected him. So, no matter what, this child will be mine alone." Meisya touched her belly with one hand, while the other wiped away the uncontrollable tears that flowed.

Ello's ex-girlfriend then left without saying goodbye to anyone. Seeing her younger sister leave immediately, Mirna followed her, leaving only Rendy and Ello's parents behind.

"When I meet Ello again, I will drag him to do the DNA test. And we'll see who's been lying!" Rendy grumbled, annoyed, before finally leaving the family.

Mirna and Meisya were now in Rendy's car. Meisya continued to cry while looking out the window, while Mirna could only rub her back without saying a word.

"I guess I really am this stupid. Now all that's left is regret because time will never be rewound. No matter how much Ello loved me back then, I should have rejected him because now I'm the only one experiencing the consequences."

Yes, only Meisya was feeling this punishment, because now Ello was preparing for his beautiful future.

Meisya packed her things without the knowledge of Rendy and Mirna. She had thought carefully about moving to another city and continuing her life without inconveniencing the people around her, especially her sister, Mirna.

As I was still packing my belongings, I suddenly heard commotion outside. To find out what was happening, I left my nearly finished packing and went out of my room.

"There's the troublemaker!" said Rendy's mom, pointing at me as I just closed the door to my room. "You lied to me for her, didn't you?"

I understood that Mirna's mother-in-law must have already known about my pregnancy. How did she find out? Was it from the obstetrician I visited earlier this morning?

"Mom, let's talk about this calmly!" intervened Rendy, trying to calm his mother down. He didn't like seeing his mother cursing at his wife, causing such a ruckus like this.

"What do you mean calmly? You know Ello's mother is my friends' social gathering companion. She recognized you when you came to their house this morning to demand responsibility, right? I already told you that girl would only be a burden for you!"

Once again, I had to be humiliated without being able to fight back or refute. All of this was a result of the mistake I made with Ello last night. The consequences I received were too heavy to bear alone, but in reality, it was only me who had to bear it all.
