Episode 8

Meisya stood still in front of the luxurious gate of the Ello family's house. She stared at the tall gate for quite some time, knowing that her daughter's father was no longer inside. If it weren't for her brother, there is no way Meisya would have come to the house of that irresponsible man.

Not long after Meisya and her brother arrived, Rendy, Meisya's brother-in-law, came straight from his office after attending an important meeting. He had brought several recorded evidence that he obtained quickly. Although, in reality, the main suspect he wanted to meet was not in the house as he had already flown abroad a few hours ago.

Without saying a word, Rendy pressed the doorbell of Ello's house until a security guard appeared in his uniform.

"Who are you looking for?" asked the old man with a thick mustache.

Rendy showed his name card and introduced himself. "I am Rendy Pratama, the brother-in-law of Ello's girlfriend who lives here. Is Ello around?" Rendy asked firmly.

"Young Master is not at home. The Madam and Sir have been taking him to the airport since this morning," answered the old man who worked as a security guard.

Meisya touched her brother's arm, urging him to leave because they would only waste their time in that house. "Let's just go home, Brother. Ello is not at his house!" Meisya said wearily.

Mirna frowned at her husband and looked at him. However, it seemed that he didn't want to leave Ello's house without producing anything.

"When will they be back, Sir?" Rendy asked, trying to wait patiently, rather than having to come back at another time.

"I don't know, Sir," answered the security guard.

"Let's just go, Rendy. We're wasting our time here!" Meisya exclaimed, not at all confident that they would be accepted by Ello's family.

Rendy sighed in frustration, still annoyed by the foolishness that his sister-in-law had gotten herself into and dragged him into the problem.

A few minutes later, the sound of a car horn stopped in front of the gate caught the attention of the four adults. It was Ello's parents' luxurious car returning from the airport.

Swiftly, the security guard opened the door for the employer who must be confused by the unexpected guests in their house.

The security guard quickly explained who Rendy, Mirna, and Meisya were, who were still waiting in front of the gate. Then, not long after, the man approached the three of them and let them in to meet Ello's parents.

After exchanging pleasantries and introducing themselves, Rendy stated his purpose and intention to meet Ello's parents.

"So, in fact, my sister-in-law and Ello, your son, have made a huge mistake. They have had sexual relations, which resulted in my sister-in-law getting pregnant," Rendy bluntly revealed.

Ello's parents exchanged glances. It seemed impossible that their child, Ello, would do something that would ruin his own future.

"Don't make things up. Since he was in the third grade, Ello has already decided where he will go to college. So, it's impossible for him to do such foolishness, let alone make someone else pregnant with his child."

The expression on Ello's father's face clearly showed his doubts about what Rendy was saying. This made Rendy unable to wait patiently any longer to explain everything.

"These are CCTV footage that shows Ello and Meisya staying at that hotel until morning. It happened a month ago, and now Meisya is pregnant, but Ello doesn't believe her," Rendy explained with a hardened jaw.

Ello's mother laughed at the evidence that Rendy presented. "So, you deliberately set us up? To the extent of preparing CCTV in that hotel? If Ello really did it with this girl, why is he doubting his own child? If they did it, it is not impossible that this girl also did it with someone else and used Ello as a scapegoat," the woman sneered with a sinister smile.

Meisya felt shattered upon hearing the insults coming from her own biological grandmother. She couldn't believe she was treated so poorly, to the extent that Ello's own mother would stoop to insult her.

"How much money do you want? Your only goal must be for money, right? We will give it to you, but never bother us again. Let Ello peacefully continue her studies and pursue her dreams!" the woman exclaimed. "Tell me, how much do you need?"
