Episode 15

I’m back in the United States after 20 days away, with my pack, thank the goddess everything is fine. But I’m alone in the mansion since my family went on a trip; it’s the birthday of the former sorcerer king, and my mother, being a witch, was among the first on the guest list.

My father couldn’t miss that opportunity, and my siblings are happy as long as they get paid vacations.

I had to stay behind; I called Leonardo to go out at night, but it turns out he’s flying to Australia.

Dark: Hey, take me for a walk, okay?

Adriel: I wanted to rest, but I guess you won’t let me, will you?

Dark: Sorry, buddy, but I feel strange, like something is about to happen—I don’t know what’s going on with me.

Adriel: Stay alert, okay?

I went out to the yard and into the woods where I transformed. It’s for a good reason; Dark is an imposing wolf who brings order wherever we go. My wolf is entirely black, and we began to run, feeling the air hitting our faces.

In the middle of our run, a warning came to me.

Adriel: Those damned undead never give up, do they? Call the warriors; you must go—let's not allow them to step into our territory.

Adriel: Dark, I think we have work to do.

Dark: Let’s go; I want to kill some bloodsuckers. I have some pent-up energy.

We set off toward the southern border, but I began to sense a fragrance of red fruits; it was intoxicating.

Dark: Mate, it's him—it's our mate; find him!

Adriel: Our mate?

Dark: Yes, he’s a male omega—let's go find him.

I stopped in my tracks.

Dark: Come on, let’s hurry; he needs us!

Adriel: Hey, he’s an omega, and besides, he’s a man. Why should we take him if our promised mate is an alpha? We have a territory that will belong to us with her.

Dark: But he is mine—my mate. Just go; I need to know that he’s okay. His omega—I can feel he’s weak. Let’s move!

Dark took complete control, and all I could think about was how it was possible that my mate was an omega. They are weak, but damn, he smells so exquisite; I love it.

Just the scent made me feel hot, but I began to smell those damned bloodsuckers closing in around us.

So, I started to run even faster; I needed to get there and see that my omega was okay.

I saw my warriors coming from the direction I was heading.

Adriel: I was nearby—let’s go.

We arrived, and wow, there was a group of about 20 vampires, and my omega had already taken down half of them; he was not a normal omega.

Beta: Wow, that omega is strong.

Adriel: He won’t hold out much longer—let's go!

We moved closer, and I watched as he started to close his eyes and collapse, transforming back into his human form. Several vampires began to flee as soon as they felt our presence; I ordered my warriors to pursue them and leave none alive. My beta and I started to finish off the remaining ones, and once it was done, I returned to my human form.

Adriel: John, get out of here and see if the others have finished with them, and take care of the bodies.

Beta: What about the guy?

Adriel: I’ll handle it—go!

He left, puzzled, and I approached one of the trees, as we usually leave clothes hanging on them for situations like this.

I put on some pants, and I used the jacket to cover his beautiful and sensual naked body. For an omega, he didn’t look weak at all; he was well-built, and that scent of red fruits drove me wild—it had me hard. I wanted to claim him and make him mine.

I don’t know what happened; I walked carrying him like a princess until I reached the mansion. I took my mate to my room; he looked so beautiful, with his chestnut-blonde hair and those long eyelashes.

Dark: He’s beautiful, and he’s ours.

Dark couldn’t stop staring at our mate. We knew he wasn’t from the pack, but his scent carried a familiar essence that I already recognized. I leaned closer to his neck and began to inhale; he was unconscious.

So, like a damned pervert, I started to roam my hands over his body and sniff him; I wanted to know if he was a virgin.

And indeed, if its sweet aroma said anything, it was that it was untouched and entirely mine. Normally, when your mate is no longer a virgin, they carry the scent of the wolf who has claimed them.

I began to tend to all his wounds myself, and I still had him undressed; then I put him in pajamas. I lay down beside him, and it was absolutely wonderful.

I slept like a baby; it's strange, but I usually don’t sleep more than four hours, and this time I slept more than ten hours straight, and I didn’t go train; the aroma of my mate relaxed me too much.

I got up and took a shower, then went down to the kitchen and ordered a special breakfast for my beloved, even though I didn’t know what he liked, so I asked for my favorite dishes. I would ask him later what he liked.

I went to the office to quickly check some emails when there was a knock at the door.

Knock knock.

Adriel: Come in.

Beta: Alpha?

Adriel: John, you can call me by my name, and tell me what you want.

Beta: Okay, Adriel, what happened with the guy from last night?

He said, sitting in front of me, leaning back and crossing one leg.

Adriel: Why do you ask?

Beta: Because you don’t like outsiders unless they ask for permission to enter.

I had forgotten that little detail; last night I was so hurried to get him out and ensure he didn’t see my beautiful mate’s naked body that I didn’t say anything.

Adriel: He’s sleeping in the bedroom right now.

Beta: Yours?

He raised his eyebrows playfully.

Adriel: Yes, in mine.

Beta: You’ve never brought anyone here, let alone into your bedroom. Who is he? Tell the truth.

I sighed, resigned that I must tell him.

Adriel: He is my mate and the moon of the pack.

He was surprised by the confession.
