Two hours past after the conversation about Arabella’s ex be finished, sorting out her room fix in the bed, and finally removing any trace of Ben from her house.

“ Hey, do you know when I said I wanna say goodbye to your parents?“ chase mentioned

“ Yeah you said you wanted to do after we sort everything out”

“ I think we should go now, it’s gonna be midnight soon and I don’t want you to be out too late”

Arabella looks up at 8 am. She is 5’7 so even though she is tall for a woman he is way too tall for a man so the height difference is a lot. She smiles, and he doesn’t notice until she walks away from him, putting on a jacket.

“ we should go now then” Arabella says with a smile on her face.

“ I have no idea why I left in the first place“

Chase says while smiling to himself. Arabella gets into the car. She puts on her seatbelt, and to herself, she thinks. “ This is definitely a sign from God and I’m going to take it and not let it go.“

Chase gets into the car of the driver seat puts on the seatbelt and start the engine Arabella is on her phone, looking down smirking.

“ so you already have a boyfriend why are you smiling like that?”

“Oi I’m not that quick to get into a relationship word Anestis, my soulmate and I don’t swing that way, I’m talking to my best friend, do you remember Rosie?”

“ Oh shoot, you still friends with Rosie Smith?”

“ you’re an idiot of course, I’m still friends with Rosie we’ve been friends since primary school”

“ hey, I was just asking, been away for quite a long time, how am I supposed to know that you’re not into women?”

“ and how am I supposed to know you’re not into men?”

“ Bella, I have not dated anybody since we broke up. I have not been into anybody for the last seven years.“

Arabella blushes and in her head, says“ damn he’s right. He really has been single for seven years.”

“ we need to get you on a date that as a no way you don’t like anybody“

“ I never once said I don’t like anybody right now I just said I haven’t been INTO anybody”

“ I am starting to believe you do not mean dating in you mean something and you mean something erotic?”

“ oh darling, I have definitely been inside of someone“

“ okay thank you for that piece of information I will cherish it for the rest of my life“ Arabella giggles

“ however, up until now that hasn’t been anybody who I found remotely attractive after we broke up“

“ oh so you found someone in London”

“ Yes I have actually, but I’m not going to tell you who it is so don’t bother asking”

Chase turns and faces the road driving towards the destination. Arabella is still blush and she doesn’t know why and she isn’t very interested in the reason.

25 minutes later, they reach to the graveyard where Arabella’s parents are both buried. Arabella hesitates to get out of the car.

“ hey are you gonna get out?” chase asks

“Uhm… maybe I should just stay in the car I mean I’ve already visited them you know I don’t think there’s any point doing it again”

“ just hold my hand then“

Chase shows his hand in front of her eyesight, and she grabs it. They start walking towards her parents grave.

“ you know, I never thought I would be here again you know after my dad died“

“ oh yeah, he was buried here wasn’t he is it bad I forgot?”

“ no it’s not bad that you forgot it was when I was five anyways, so I don’t blame you”

They find their way towards Arabella’s parents Grove. They do a quick prayer before Chase starts to speak to them.

“ oh, can you go and get some flowers please so I could give it to them” Chase said to Arabella

“ of course, I’ll be back in five minutes”

“ hi Jon and Becca, it’s Chase Nightingale. I’ve known your daughter for practically our entire life. I’m so sorry I left her alone. I feel stupid because of me she ended up dating some fool who cheated on her”

Chase takes a deep breath before continuing to talk.

“ I’m going to be honest, I haven’t dated anyone since your daughter and a lot of the reason for that is because I-“

Arabella walks behind him, but he’s too concentrating on talking to her parents grave. He didn’t hear her footsteps“

“ because I still love her, I slept with one person and that is it and it was so I could forget her, but I was never able to felt so bad for people with that girl. Because I didn’t have feelings for her I’m so mad, I left her”

Chase go silent again and paid respect to Arabella’s parents .

“ it’s probably too late for us now, so I’m just going to be the person that she can rely on and if it turns romantic again or even if it doesn’t, I will still always be here for her.”

“Damn, I had no idea he felt like that for me. Well of course I did now because we previously dated, but after all these years, he still loves me”

Arabella, tears up and slowly, and quietly walked away from him as if she was not there in the first place. Five minutes later, Arabello makes hallway towards Chase at her parents grave again.

“ hey, I bought the flowers I couldn’t really find them that was my mum’s favourite at the shop so I had to buy ones that she had for her second favourite”

“ hey, it’s completely fine is okay too. I just wanted to pay my respects to your parents, you know”

“ yeah I understand and thank you for being there for me today. If you want me to visit your dad’s grave“

“ I don’t know I don’t think I could and I didn’t know him as well as you know your parents. I didn’t have as many memories with my father as you did with your parents and I still have my mum, what we still have my mum.”

“ you know what you’re right, I think we should go and visit mum next haven’t visited her yet right“

“ no to be completely honest with you, I arrived yesterday, so I haven’t had time to visit my mother yet”

“ we should go together, say hi to her I’ll buy her some flowers and chocolate, a gift or something surprise her“

Chase feels a smile creeping up on his face. Hearing her say that she wants to see his mother again. After all of those years makes him happy.

“You know what? Yeah let’s do it”

“ the last one to the car has to pay for the flowers“

“ Oi, you had a head start, that is cheating“

Chase and Arabella start to run towards the car like they are children in the nostalgia , but they both got
