...Charles Ausburn put the letter down and looked at the package on his mahogany table. He was tempted to open it but but the words on the letter haunted him but he thought his friend was pulling a prank. He opened the package slowly by putting the lid on the table then stuck his hand in the box. Out came a beautiful green book, the cover had a huge 'G' on it but before he could open the pages...

"What is that dear? " A woman walked in the room

"Nothing, just a gift from Leonardo"

"Leonardo! He was found dead this morning"

"Really"

"Yes, have you seen the morning papers?" the woman threw the new papers on his desk on the head. it read 'Greatest Artist found Dead'

"That's weird, this package arrived this morning from Him"

"Well, he was found dead they said he wrote a letter and I guess you must have it"

"I do, but how did he die? "

"The police said that he either died in his sleep or he was killed"

"Killed!"

The elevator ding snapped Agent Zair back to reality, she straightened her shirt and held her head up high.as she walked out the elevator. Agent Zair had the best Agent in her region, she would finish any job she was given and never complain but her one flaw was that she could never find the right partner. Her brown her was always in a strict bun, her dark eyes were straight and forward and her skin was clear like water

"Agent Zair welcome back, I see you're still alone"

" Agent Tony it's good to be back"

"Another Agent down the drain, what happened this time"

"Agent Tony, what's my business is my business"

"I'm just saying, this is your twenty-fifth trial and I don't think the Head will be happy"

"Thank you for your concern but I don't need it"

" Fine don't say I warned you, follow me there is a gathering this morning"

They walked together to join the crowd of Agents in the meeting hall. Everyone chittered away untill the Head came out.

"Good Morning Everyone, As some of you know the reason we have gathered this morning. Eight years ago the agency experienced what was recorded as the worst crime in history. Tweleve teen-agers went missing, various crimes were committed all around the world the Agency was almost shut down then finally we were able to keep the problem at bay. At the darkest moment we were able to stand but we weren't able to stand once again but not to defeat the criminal. Just last night Agent Lucy confirmed it's whereabouts in NewYork city, we will send two Agent to the job done Agent Zair" Agent Zair waved her hand to show her presence

"And the newest and best in our American branch, Agent Knight"

The new agent steped on the stage, admiration and amazement filled the air his black hair was pushed to look stylish, his eyes were a dim blue and he wore glasses for fashion but Agent Zair wasn't happy at all.

"Together we will stop the enemy and save the world" Cheers and shouts filled the air as they all agreed it was time to she'd some light on thier dark past. Everyone started to leave and Agent Zair pushed through the crowd to get to the Head she had a bone to pick with her.

"Agent Zair, welcome back I would like you to meet your new partner, Agent Knight"

" Agent Knight" Zair stuck out her hand to greet him

"Agent Zair" Knight said shaking her hand, Agent Zair let go and wiped them secretly behind her back in disgust and Agent Knight could feel that she didn't want him as her partner in her strong grip.

"Follow me into my office they're still things to discuss" The head started walking to his office. They entered a dark complex room the agants took the seats in front of them and the Head walked around to his seat

"****What's the status****"Agent Zair asked

"Our main priority is to capture our mysterious killer but we have had a few bumps"

"Such as? "Agent Knight asked

"Mary Ausburn"

"Who is she? "

"An archeologist from right here in Britain, she was the top of her class and graduated with honors. When she was brought into this mess she was coming back from her project in Argentina with an artifact"

"What does this have to do with our Criminal?" Agent Zair asked

"The artifact she had was taken by our criminal"

"Now, what would a Criminal need with an artifact?"

"That's what we need to find out, go to NewYork this afternoon cause I have a feeling time is running out"

Mary Ausburn sat straight in her hospital bed, bandages were on her hands and her head. She had no idea how she got here or when but that didn't matter what mattered was why couldn't she remember what happened the night before. A nurse opened the door carrying some food

"Oh, your awake. I'll get the docter" she stated leaving

"Wait, can you tell me how I got here"

"Oh, a good Samaritan left you here with some money and instructions to take care of you" the nurse said happily

"Can I see this note"

"Sure" The nurse took a note out of her apron and handed it to her. Mary read it thinking she can identify the handwriting but she was wrong it was typed out and printed her hope was burned

"There is some people here for you"

"Who? "

"A man and a woman"

"Send them in" The nurse walked out and asked the two to come in.

knock, Knock

"Are you Mary Ausburn? " the woman asked sternly

"Yes and who are you ?"

"I am Agent Zair and this is my-----"Zair looked behind her to see that Agent Knight was nowhere to be seen.

"Is this a joke or you actually think I would believe you that you and your missing partner are from a secret Agency? "

"Yes and if you don't believe us we might as well kill you"Agent Knight walked in with a cup of tea

"What is that!? "

"Tea, darling" Zair already had to put up with him being her partner but this was beyond what she signed up for, she knew it was a waste of time talking to him.

"So if you're agents why are you here then?"

"Simple, two weeks ago you went to Argentina for a project then on you way back you suddenly get attacked by an unknown person then you mysteriously ended up in the hospital now what reason is there we aren't agents?"

Mary agreed that he had a point

"You're right, I did go to Argentina for a project but I don't remember how I got here"

"What exactly did you find in Argentina?"

"I was following my Father's journal about a book he mentioned all over it, I ended up in a villiage where I asked the elders if my Father came he did but the villagers warned me not to follow my father's trail cause they said a dark protector had killed my father and anyone who went looking for it. So instead of listening to them I went looking for the book. I found it after two days of digging it was in a tomb with writings I couldn't even make out then in the dim light I found it, a green covered book with a beautiful cover. I didn't have time to look through the pages but I had to leave Argentina quickly and ended up riding through NewYork but that's all I remember"

"You sure there is nothing else?" Agent Knight asked

"I do remember something, I always leave a hidden camera just in case I forget something I turned it on right before I left Argentina. It's on my Jacket! "

Agent Zair picked up the pile of clothes on the chaur next to the bed, she took of the pin on her jacket and handed it to Knight. He plugged it in his travel tablet and moved the videos on it.

"We'll look at it later but for now don't leave the country or hospital your life is our is now up to us so if I were you I would stay put" Zair said as they left the room. In the caron the way to the safe house Agent Knight decided to look at the videos from the hidden camera on Mary's pin, the videos were mostly from Argentina but one video peeked his interest. He watched the one from the night before and it left his mouth open

"Zair! stop the car!"Agent Zair hit the brake hard and stopped the car

"What is so important that I need to see?"

"Look!" Agent Knight gave the tablet tobZair and she was also was dumb struck.
