Resigned to what was coming, Sofia went to her office, she has no choice but to await the conclusion of this mess.

While Sofia was working on her report, Maya Meyer entered like a cuddly kitten.

"Of course I know, she called me personally, your brother wants to talk to me tonight, we know what he must want, now that Papa Caleb is gone he must want to run into the arms of his great love," Sofia said indifferently as Maya gets angrier.

"I don't know what's wrong with my mother, she's a complete stranger to me, that obsession she has against you is very strange," Maya said as Sofia just shakes her head.

Sofia grabbed her bag while smiling at her friend.

"Come on Maya, I'll drop you off at home, then I have to go prepare dinner, your brother says he's coming to dinner, I don't want to have him in my house for long, I hope he gives me the agreement and that's it," Sofia said as she walked to the door.

Maya just sighed, she really would have liked her brother to have fallen in love with Sofia, not only is she beautiful but she is an excellent person, very educated and intelligent, nothing like Amaranta, who is frivolous, two-faced and only looks out for her personal interests.

"Go…, go wash your hands, dinner is ready," she said nervously, when he's in that mood she doesn't know how to deal with him.

Cain went to the bathroom while Sofia served the food, they both sat down to eat in total silence, Sofia hoped he would say something about the matter, but it seemed that Cain had no intention of saying anything, he was relaxed as if nothing had happened.

"Cain, did you have something to tell me?" Sofia said, looking at him expectantly, she doesn't understand what he wants.

"Oh, that, we'll talk about it tomorrow, now is not the time, I'll tell you when we have breakfast," he said shamelessly as poor Sofia was paralyzed.

Does he plan to stay the night? Does he want to spend the night with me? she thought totally confused, she doesn't understand the situation, he should be desperate to get a divorce.

Sofia recovered from her shock and cleared her throat a little, he had taken her by surprise.

"Cain, you didn't tell me you wanted to stay the night, I don't have the guest room ready," she said a little flushed.
