After the invasion of demons, due to the one-sided war for ages. The demon had begun to breed with the humans that was until the human cultivators from outer world came in and fought them off.

But the blood of the demon had spread and hence hunts for the half demons begin.

The lower realm were in complete shambles after that war and thousands of years had passed.

The demons were thought to have gone extinct, but they'll appear on the surface during vulnerable times. And when they do appear, lots of life were lost.

In Zhang kingdom, a Third rate country in the small world. A place rumored to inhabit tons of half demons.

A group of man were chasing a beautiful woman with a child on her hands. Her looks were mesmerizing, but the tattered clothing she was wearing expressed poorly of her.

..."Hah, …, am I going to die? I… My son is only a newborn,.,. Why heaven,.,. Why do you have to make my son suffer for my mistakes?"...

The woman kept thinking as she ran. She had saved a man who was injured, they fell in love with each other but the man journeyed out and never returned.

Despite waiting for months he never returned, then on the 2nd year she found herself to be pregnant. A normal human would only take about 8 to 10 months but it took her 2 years which made Her shock.

She quickly ran away and on her 3rd year gave birth to a kid in a faraway village.

But luck wasn't on her side, one of the people who helped her make her delivery had a bit of knowledge on demons.

She overheard them saying they would get rid of the baby. Nalan, (the name of the woman), despite the delivery being done not long ago, she held her son and ran off.

3 days she continued running, with sheer determination she continued living on. The males chasing her felt sorry for her but they couldn't allow the birth of a half demon.

Half demons were more dangerous than pure blooded demons.

Demons rely on their bloodline to cultivate while half demons were capable of learning human techniques making them even capable of exceeding pure blood demons.

As she reached her limits, she could only pray in regret. She ran straight into a forest filled with dark aura. A place rumored to habitat ghosts, filled with extreme yin energy.

With luck, she found a cave unaffected by the yin energy.

Laying down the child, she kissed him on his forehead and said

"I'm sorry son, I've been a useless mother for you. I couldn't do anything for you. All I can do is pray that you don't die. Mommy will be back for you if heaven allows."

Saying so she filled a clothing with rocks and made her way out of the forest. The males who had chased her into the forest saw her and she, realizing they took the bait started running away.

The males continued chasing her until she jumped down a cliff holding tightly along with the dummy child in her hands.
