CHAPTER 3

Two weeks later…………

So it’s been two weeks and I haven’t been feeling well at all. I have been feeling so weak but I still have work to do. I had decided not to go to work till I get better, a day turned into two and two turned into weeks.

“Friend I think it’s high time you went to the hospital? What if your malaria came back? Come on we don’t want to lose you.” Kathy said in a worried tone.

“It’s nothing I promise”. I said. I really hate hospitals so I would do anything to get very far away from them.

“The very same nothing that is getting your skin pale.

Friend if you don’t get that fine *** of yours in the hospital then I am afraid

I will do so myself. It would be a very nice offer to take on. It’s a deal I

cannot let to slip through my fingers.” She said.

I do not want to go to the hospital with Kathy. She is

so dramatic so to avoid that I have to go to the hospital.

“Ok Katherine I will go to the hospital okay?” I said.

“I knew my friend is so clever.” She said.

So later that day I went to the hospital to go get

checked. I met with my doctor and got checked up. I got my blood drawn for a

test. She gave me some pills for the fever and also told me that I will have my

results sent via email. I left and headed to the office I had a very big

project going on so I had to take ground and work on it as I had took some days

off work. Kathy dropped by to bring me my food. In the last two weeks I have

had a very huge appetite and even changed my diet. One of the main reasons I

hate being sick.

“Hey friend. How was the check-up?” she asked.

“Well it went fine except for the fact that they

withdrew blood from me.” I said in a funny tone.

We laughed it off and had our lunch. Just then my

phone pinged with a notification.

“I think it must be my results. Its time reveal.” I

said in a confident tone.

“Yeah sure thing”. She said.

“Fuck”. I said immediately after I got the results.

“What? Is your malaria back?” she said in a worried

tone.

“I wish. Dude I’m pregnant.” I said in awe.

“Wait what? You had sex? Why didn’t you tell me?” She

asked in awe.

“What was I supposed to tell you? That I was so drunk

and had a one night stand.”

“Wait you had a one night stand. Were you even going

to tell me? When did all this happen?” She asked in complete disbelief.

“Remember that gala we had after you flew into the

country? Yeah that one after you came and told me you were leaving with” (she

interrupted me).

“Do you mind not telling me about that guy I do not

want to talk about?” She said.

“Ok I will not. I said. I got to socialize with the

other business owners everything    went

well until I met this other guy. We kind of locked our eyes for like 30 seconds

I think. He literally came over to me and introduced himself to me his name was

Christian. One thing I knew for certain was that I had never seen him before

and damn the guy looked good for my liking. I had never felt that type of

attraction before. He got me a drink and we drank ourselves too much. We

literally had a great time. Just as I got up he grabbed my arm and kissed me. I

was surprised at first but I let him dominate my tongue then the kiss deepened,

we somehow got to a room and we made love and”. She interrupted me before I

said anything.

“I am not sure if you had to tell me everything in

detail but I am glad you did.” She said. I am glad you are pregnant. She said.

“You are? I asked in surprise. I mean you didn’t act

like you were a few minutes ago.” I said.

“Well that was just the protective side of me. I just

want you to know that I am here for you.” She said.

I replied sarcastically. I never knew you were the one

with words. We laughed it off and had a great time.

Oh before we start anything do you know anything about

the father? She asked.

Oh shit! That matters too.
