"Please forgive my siblings' behavior, dear. Um... It might be better for you to reveal your true identity so you won't be constantly belittled," Dinda said, feeling sorry for her husband who was always looked down upon by her family.
Satri shook his head, as he didn't want to reveal his real identity just yet. He and Indra had prepared the right moment. When the time came, the bomb would detonate, and those who looked down on him would be ashamed and beg for his forgiveness.
"Wait for the perfect moment. Now, it's better if you take me to the cafe. Oh, by the way, there's a surprise waiting for you there, actually from grandma," said Satri, hinting at the boutique and salon he was about to disclose as a gift from his grandmother.
"What is it?" Dinda asked, full of curiosity.
Satri opened his work bag and took out a folder he had stored there for the past three days, handing it to Dinda.
"What's this?" she asked again.
"Just open it," Satri replied briefly.
Curious, Dinda opened the folder to find two cards inside, one a credit card and the other a black card, a gift to Anisa from Grandma Satri.
"Is this for me? And these papers, are they ownership documents for the Boutique and Salon? Are both enterprises under my name? Is this truly a gift from Grandma?" Dinda asked, barely believing what she held in her hands.
She had never imagined her life would change so quickly and that she would be the owner of two well-known enterprises. Dinda was overwhelmed with gratitude for being entrusted with managing not just two, but three businesses.
"But isn't this too much?" she wondered aloud if it was all too extravagant.
"It's an overdue wedding gift... They're yours and yours alone. You're not just anybody now, you are the proprietor of Ladies Boutique and Salon," Satri said, proud of Dinda.
Emotionally, Dinda hugged Satri, tears of joy streaming down her face. Now was the time to rise and become strong; she was certain more challenges lay ahead, especially for her.
*What would my three sisters and brother-in-law think if they knew I owned these businesses?* she mused to herself.
Heading out to the cafe with Satri, he left soon after dropping her off due to a meeting with someone. Entering the cafe with determination, Dinda was surprised to find her siblings and mother there.
*They're here? They must have come straight from home. And there's Tono too\, which just annoys me. But it's fine\, while I'm not one to brag\, bragging in the right context is allowed. After all\, I own this place\,* she reassured herself.
"What are you doing here? Following us?" Rena asked with spite.
"No," Dinda responded curtly.
"Ah, there's our Dinda. Looks like we are fated to be together after all. I deliberately invited your family here to discuss our affair without involving you. Yet, here you are, which must mean we're destined," Tono boasted confidently.
Dinda's family looked expectantly at her, hoping she would be accommodating towards Tono, so that the relationship with him would proceed smoothly.
"Sorry, but I'm not interested in a destiny with you! Besides, I'm already married. Remember this, Tono, never hope to marry me. I'm not a woman dazzled by your wealth!" Dinda replied firmly.
"Dinda!!" Mother Rahayu snapped angrily. She felt Dinda was being insolent by speaking rudely to Tono.
"What, Mother? And all of you want to be angry too? Don't you have any heart? For the sake of wealth, would you marry off a married woman to this man? You should know my husband is richer than him! My husband is rich in kindness, patience, love, and affection. Please, do not force me to further embarrass you. If you want to eat, just eat. Excuse me!" Dinda declared, walking back to parts of the cafe reserved for staff.
All eyes followed Dinda, no longer concerned with her words but wondering why she could enter that area unchallenged, as she strode into the staff-only room.
"Dinda is looking ever more graceful and flawless," observed Tono.
"Sir, why was Dinda able to go there unobstructed? Could it be she works here too?" Sinta asked Rudi, her husband.
"Maybe she's just a dishwasher," Rudi replied, unconcerned about Dinda.
They resumed their interrupted lunch as Tono remained intrigued about Dinda, his rejection only fueling his desire.
"Tono, what's your plan? Dinda seems against this matchmaking," Reno inquired about Tono's strategy.
"Dinda says no because of Satri. But if Satri were out of the picture, she would surely agree. I'll try lavishing her with riches, but if that doesn't work, then Satri will need to be removed," Tono declared grimly.
"You're going to kill Satri?" Beni asked, shocked. Unlike the others, Beni still had his senses, being someone who usually kept to himself.
"No, brother. I'll just settle things with him. I'll offer a sum for him to leave Dinda. A poor man like Satri would gladly accept wealth like that," said Tono.
"And if that fails?" Rena interjected.
"I'll have to harm him, but don't worry, not fatally," Tono assured nonchalantly.
Everyone looked at Tono in agreement, except for Beni, who kept silent. He decided to warn Satri of Tono's vile plan. Tono, who seemed simple and calm, was actually intimidating when his desires weren't met.
*This can't go unchecked. I need to inform Satri. Tono may engage in shady money transactions within the company\, but I won't allow it outside. And I'll expose Tono's true face. I maintain my silence out of respect for Rudi\, my brother-in-law\, knowing he too receives money from Tono\,* Beni thought resolutely.
