Chapter 6 : Elf

Walking out the streets Ace and Nora passed by the merchant area. Nora gently made fun of Ace seeming to be lost in thought. Ace was astonished by the many different creatures he was seeing at once that include orcs, trolls, fairies, elves and creatures. Some of the creatures there were only talked about in stories.

Nora quietly smiled admiring his curiosity behaviour. The two stopped in front of building with a sign written, Oak Wood. Entering the building they both came across figure standing on the opposite of the counter. Inside the building the place was a bakery, on the counter of the store a three elven women selling pastries to orcs customers. Nora walked with Ace towards the counter she spoke with one of the elf woman. The elf woman accompanied them towards the back of the counter.

The elf woman murmured towards Nora talking in her elven tongue. "Nora, where have you hiding this guy?"

Nora replied in the elven tongue. "Elfreda stop, I  have not been hiding him, he just arrived here." Ace quietly smirked as he could understand the elven tongue.

"Thanks for the nice compliment." Ace said. Nora and Elfreda both widened their eyes perplexed. Nora did not know that Ace could knew the elven tongue.

Elfreda slightly shifted her gaze looking at Ace and said, "So you speak my native tongue, where did you learn it?"

Ace firmly looked towards Elfreda side replying, "I have learned it through my travels, and a friend taught me some." She admired his elven tongue pronouncing every words proper. Ace took he compliments to heart. He ha learned elven tongue for when he visit Alfheim, the realm of the elves.

Opening a door after crossing the staircase Ace, Nora and Elfreda walked inside. Inside the room they saw a elf man seating on a desk across the room. The elf man had long dark hair and pale skin tone. He wore a white shirt, blue pants and black shoes. He slightly turned his gaze looking towards Ace and Nora sides. He sat up from the desk slowly walking towards Nora side.

He widened his arms giving Nora a huge hug, and Nora recompensing the hug. "It's been some time since I have seen you here Nora, how has life been treating you around?" The elf man murmured.

Nora replied, "I have been busy with somethings."

"I almost thought this monsters here have already murder you, I was going to have my people run mad in those streets," The elf man faintly laughed saying. Nora quietly laughed looking aside.

The elf man looked at Ace side, he slowly approached his front saying, "Who have you brought here? Huh, he looks strong." He quietly snorted examining Ace from front and back. He then introduced himself to him as Alstin, his was the owner of the bakery shop. Ace nodded his head greeting him back also.

"My name is Ace."

Alstin smirked after hearing his name, he slightly glance at Nora. "Oh, so you are the famous Ace I have been hearing about." Ace frowned his eyebrows in confusion. He just arrived to place and he already heard of him.

Ace stared up at Alstin asking, "Where did you heard about?"

Alstin casually laughed dodging the question walking back towards his desk. "Elfreda, you can leave us now." Elfreda simply left the room. Ace was looking puzzled as he did not answer his question. Alstin gave a firm glance towards Ace and Nora and asking, "What are you here for Nora?"

Nora frowned her face walking up towards Alstin side. Alstin frowned his eyebrows analysing her change of expression. "I am here for my friend, he needs some information about someone," She said with a serious tone. Alstin casually laughed looking at ceiling an looking at her again.

"Information. I should have known that is all you come to me for, friend," Alstin replied with a indifferent expression. "What information do you want?"

Ace abruptly walked forward asking, "Where can I found Astra?" Alstin widened his eyebrows and turning his head in shocked; The name Astra was forbidden name to say inside the backstreets. The name belong to a powerful sorcerer who was known throughout the entire backstreets to be powerful and dangerous. She did not just kill those who obstruct her way but also tortured them before killing them. Her purity of magic was even greater than many of elves.

Alstin nodded his head rejecting speak out her location. "I thought you were looking for someone not dangerous but her, Nora I cannot help you with that I will be putting my people lives in danger by helping you, I cannot,"  Noa approached him grabbing both his hands begging him, but he withdrawal his hands from her grasped. He circled around the desk refusing her offer.

"Let's go Nora, I do not still will find help here." Ace quietly turned his back grabbing the doorhandle. As he was about to disappear through the door a voice called out Ace stopping both him an Nora. To his surprised the voice came from Alstin who was walking at him.

Reaching his side Alstin admired his courage of walking away and he promised to tell him everything. Ace snorted argued that he would have found another way. Alstin faintly smiled admiring his forward speaking. "I see why he is your friend hah!" Nora began flustered up.

"You know I would be reaching everything I have by telling you thing but, promise me you will end her quick when I tell you this!" Ace nodded his head agreeing. Alstin told him Astra whereabouts.

While Ace and Nora walked out the room Alstin casually smiled looking at two couple. Ace and Nora walked out towards the streets. Nora looked agitated that her day with Ace ha ended an they have to go their different ways. She nervously asked him to accompany her back home, and he agreed.

While walking to Nora place the two shared few uncomfortable moments. Nora accidently grabbed Ace hand and wrapped her arm around his. People around admired the cute couple not knowing that they were not a couple. Ace was puzzled by Nora flustered expression.

Arriving outside of Nora door he saw quite medium large house, with a blue roof. The yard was covered with a garden of plants and herbs. Ace recognised some of the plants and herbs as there was wolfbane, mistletoe and vervain. Most of the other plants were flowers like roses, lotus, violets, sunflower and other flowers.
