Chapter 5 : Found peace no violence.

Nora slowly opened her eyes finding herself lying on a couch. As she raised her head upwards taking a slight look towards her surroundings, the place she was inn did not look like her house image. She stood gradually stood up from couch with her body still trembling, she walked straight to the door. A familiar voice called out for her from behind. She slightly turned her head to see her mother standing there. Page lunged a towards her give her a  excitedly huge.

Looking from Page shoulder she saw Ace walking out from the other room. Ace faintly smiled saying, "Hey, I thought I lost you there." Nora face flushed seeing Ace half naked. She hide her face with Page shoulder. She was witnessing Ace divine body with his chest, packs and broad should fully.

"Hey, what's wrong with you, did you catch a cold being in a cold place? But your eyes look fine to me," Ace stated placing his hand on top of Nora forehead. Nora face quickly turned red with Ace touching her.

"Huh, you are starting to heat up now." Ace said, watching Nora and noticing her agitate behaviour. He was confused but did not pay much attention to it. Page casually smiled looking at the two. Ace was puzzled with what he did was wrong.

"You are not wearing a shirt," Nora pointed her finger towards Ace naked upper body.  Ace blankly stared her with a confused look. It his thing taking his top off.

"I do not see the issue, I normally don't put on any top," said Ace. He was clueless why Nora was bother by him being topless. Due to his strange physiology he did not experience the weather some as other people; Most cambions could survive the coldest an hottest temperatures due to how their body adapt to the environment their inn.

"Sorry, but us it's not normal for someone to walk around shirtless," Nora nervously stated looking towards Ace eyes. Ace casually nodded his head walking upstairs to on a shirt.

As he slowly walked back down the stairs wearing a grey shirt on. Nora slightly giggled as the shirt Ace was wearing tightly gripped his body. Ace muscles were popping out with his broad shoulders widening the shirt.

Nora firmly looked at Ace asking, "What happened to the vampire?"  Ace casually ignored her at first, but Nora aske again. nodded his head. To her his respond insure her feelings towards Ace, as he protected her from death.

"Was he strong?" Nora asked chuckling. Ace blankly stare at her with his face smirking.

"Yeah he was really strong, was," Ace chuckling. Nora face blushed.

"He was strong alright," Nora faintly laughed. Looking through Ace eyes she saw that he was trying to protect her as he did want her to worry no more. But Ace had no clue that since from a early young age Nora had been exposed to lot of danger.

Nora family were the guardians and keepers of the supernatural world. Their jobs were not to hunt down the creatures but to keep them from coursing trouble in the human side. Most of the creatures would eventual course trouble to the human side, they would be judge by the high nobles of the human society in punishment. The human nobles were firmed with their punishment to the creatures even if the creature was from noble birth. They did not allow the creatures to prey outside the place, they can only prey on those who stepped through their domain.

"I'm sorry," Ace bowed his head at Nora side. Nora looked bewildered at Ace bowing towards her. She slightly smiled asking him to stand up straight she should be the one bowing to him not the way around.

Ace snorted his mouth not accepting Nora nice gesture of words. "If could have just turned back you would haven't been kidnapped there. I should have listened to my gut to go after you, but I didn't," He looked down with a gloomy expression.

Nora firmly stopped his from thinking about the past as things have already happened. They should focus on the present as he had save her life. Dwelling on the past would not change what happened, he had to look towards the present day as they are happening now.

Page an Nora sat as Ace prepared warmth food for them. Nora swept her eyes across the room as she could not believe that the house that was just broke down ago looked this nice in one day. Moments later, Ace handed both of them plates of food. Page admired Ace hand at cooking, and  Nora froze as she was stunned by how delicious the food. Ace sat facing their direction.

"I have never had food that was so delicious as this. Sorry Nora," Page said as she clean up the whole entire plate. Nora was still stunned admiring every single bite she took of the food. Page quietly tapped her in the shoulder snapping her out from her train of thought.

Ace quietly stare at the empty plates pleased, he then looked throughout the window as dark and foggy. "You should stay here for the night, I don't appreciate you going right this hour. When I was out there I could sense every creature, they are out to hunt right now." Page quietly nodded her head agreeing with him. She knew that all types of dangerous creatures even more dangerous than vampires roam those night hours. Next her shoulder a flustered Nora growing shy and falling silent for a moment..

Ace abruptly walked the two upstairs giving them the tour of his room. He had the living-room, bathroom, kitchen and bedroom only as the other rooms were still not fixed yet. He left Nora and Page upstairs going to rest his back on the couch. Looking up towards the upper wall he kept his eyes opened through the night preparing for any coming attack.

Morning.

Walking downstairs Nora was met with a plate of food. She took the plate as it came from Ace. She sat down towards the couch, "Why did you take your bed to sleep on?" Ace slightly smiled shaking his head.

"I felt fine sleeping on the couch," Ace replied.

Page walked downstairs finding both Ace and Nora talking. After seeing her Ace met her also with a plate of food in hands. She sat down next to Nora, who have already finished her plate placing it down on the table.

"Where did you learned how to cook like this?" asked Nora.

"Its something I learned through mission as a kid, and my father taught me how to cook," Ace said, slightly glancing at Nora.

"Your father must be a special person in your life." said Page. Ace snorted his expression.

He casually laughed saying, "I guess the guy was there, but he only did those things for himself not me."

"What do you mean by that?" Page asked puzzled.

"I have always felt that he was hiding something from me. When I got here this feeling I had disappeared, I don't know why," Ace stated with a firm tone. Page nodded her head listening to his words.

Inside the factory were Ace killed the vampire Vince Paladin. Two figures were standing over his dead body, some of the other figures were wrapping up the girl body with a plastic bag. The first figure who's name was Eric kneeled down placing his hand at the hole towards Vince back, saying, "His heart was ripped from his back. There is someone strong enough to rip through vampire royal skin. I think a war is about to broom."

The second figure who's name was Leo pulled out a cigarette from his back pocket lighting it next to the body. "This is Vince Paladin, a asshole of a vampire royal. With his death the Paladin family will not stop until they hunt down the person who did this." He casually sighed with smoke coming out his mouth.

"Should we hide this for awhile," said Eric.

Leo expired the smoke through his mouth, replying, "You're too late I'm sure the news already reached their ears. Eric firmly stood up straight facing his front at Leo.

"So it's over then," said Eric. Leo nodded his head at Eric.
