Chapter 3 : London

As the sun gaze slowly disappearing from the ship gaze as it was moving further through the white fog, it then vanished inside the fog. Excited with his new adventure towards a distance land, Ace was full with excitement as it was his first time travelling outside the two realms of Niflheimr and Muspelheim.

He quickly went on a sight seeing of the ship. The ship was twice as large as a normal ship was, it appeared small on the outside but larger on the inside; Spatial magic was used to enlarge the ship space from the inside. The ship was going to travel through the fog taking five to six days to pass through to Midgard. After passing through the fog the ship was going to take a week to reach London.

Ace casually walked around the ship familiarizing himself with the surrounding. He spend keeping his close eye on the other passengers. He had to be alert at all time due to enemy that could pop out at any moment; Usually assassins would be sent after when the mission involved wealthy benefactors. But even with assassins sent after a mission must be finished at any cost.

Days, weeks or months, it felt like time was moving both slow and fast inside the fog. Ace waited patiently relaxing inside his cabin room. He did not know if months or years have passed by as time felt weird inside the fog. Towards the front of the ship a small glimmer of light shine appeared. With the fog starting the disappear from view eyes with the bright blue sky looming above.

The shining yellow sun loomed over the ship, similar to Niflheimr own two suns, but Niflheimr suns were different in colour having red and blue suns. The two suns at Niflheimr appeared larger than the ones in Midgard. Niflheimr was a winter place that always snowed but only at night time the sky could be full clear with any clouds snowing.

"We have arrive at Midgard!" The captain of the ship spoke firm as he gaze forward. The captain name was Abel Noah. He had green eyes and fair skin tone. He wore a white navy-blue uniform, with a captain hat and long black boots.

Five weeks passed.

The ship gaze looming before London as the view picture of the city was visible to see. Before reaching the ports Ace jumped from the ship landing first in London shores. He casually walked pass through the port registration boot to the outside. As he was walking through the exit door his eyes spot a figure, wearing a long black coat and pants. Looking close towards the figure's a menacing aura surrounded the person, and the stench of blood was coming from the figure. Both glance at each other with serious looks while walking in different directions.

Walking throughout the streets of London Ace looked up astonished towards the structural design, population, and mechanical vehicle on the streets. There were tall buildings at the size of the mountains, and machine vehicles that drove in streets. The vehicles occupied the middle of the street, and crowd of people walking on the side were the vehicles were not driven.

As well as he would enjoyed interact with mortals there. Mortals in Midgard held animosity towards the supernatural creatures. Supernatural creatures like vampires, ghouls and any creature that feed on people's were terrorizing the mortal race for millenarians; The mortals discriminate against the supernatural creatures due to them treating their kind like food. And the supernatural creatures hunt the mortals enslaving them, as they are treated like dinner. The supernatural creatures usually roam the night.

Ace casually walked pass the many people on the sidewalk. He arrived in front of a tall building with a large clock on top. He looked around disappearing towards the back of the building. Walking through a alley to come out on the other side to see another city, but this one was in the shadows of the other one; London was split into two place, the shiny an bright top was where the mortals stayed and the dark and gloomy was where the supernatural stayed. The place where the supernatural creatures stayed was called the Backstreets.

Standing next to a crossroads. Ace had a anxious expression as a mysterious girl walking towards his direction. She agreed him with a bright smile having a lively personality. She spoke loud and friendly towards Ace.

"You must be Ace. I am Nora," The girl gave Ace a handshake while stating her name, to be Nora. She had short black hair and brown skin tone. She wore white top, with navy-blue shorts and long brown boots.

"Yeah, its me, nice to me you..." Ace replied shaking her hand back. His face turned bleak asking, "Hey sorry, what was your name again?"

Nora widened eyes as a glimmer of red flushed on face. "Hey what, I just told you my name not to long ago. How quickly do you forget things?"

"Sorry I'm not good on remembering names," Ace said towards Nora with a laid back expression. Nora ignored his non-recall of her name, she then stated her name again to him.

"Nora, Nora? Huh?" Ace brushed the back of his head as he familiarized the name Nora, as it sound familiar. Even Nora face and personality felt familiar to him. He thought so hard his mind shut down. He simply stopped thinking too much about trying to figure it out as did not want to over load his brain.

"What's wrong Ace?" Nora stated looking with a firm gaze at Nora. Ace shook his head. She then winkled her eye as she turned her back walking away, Ace following her from behind.

The two walked deep through the Backstreet city. They stopped in front of a old ramshackle house that looked like it been years since someone live inside. Nora smiled turning her back looking at Ace, "This will be where you're staying. I know the house seems ramshackle but it's still good to live inside." She said that with slightly laugh towards Ace side. Ace swept his widened eyes at her thinking she was crazy to think a someone could live inside that.

Ace handed Nora his bag while he towards the inside of the house. He examined forward damage of the house from top to bottom, starting in the upstairs rooms, to the kitchen and living-room, and he then walked around the house checking its surroundings.

"Does it look fine? If not, it's not the only options we have," Nora spoke looking at Ace. Ace sighed his face looking towards the side. He shook his head agreeing to stay in the ramshackle house. Nora widened her eyes with confusion. She was shocked that Ace wanted to stay in a ramshackle house that was almost broken-down with large hole on top of its roof.

"Are you sure? You know I was kidding right there are other places much better than this one a lot." Nora stated.

"I know, but I prefer this one. It might look kinder bad on the inside but it's still good on the outside. I have seen much worse than this. In my first mission I slept in the winter forest in Niflheimr. That was not even my worse mission." Ace faintly smiled saying. Nora with no words allowed him to stay inside the ramshackle house.

"Okay then, have a nice time," Nora handed  Ace the key to the house. She then turned her back walking away. Ace picked up his things a walked inside the house finally.

A few hours passed, Ace was finishing up with cleaning and fixing up the ramshackle house, it almost seemed hopeless at first but he continued to work fast to fix it up. The ramshackle house did not look the same as the large hole on the roof was dealt with, he dust up the dusty furniture and washing the floors of each room until it was looking nice.

The Dark Mountains.

Through the outskirt of the backstreets there were shadowy mountains that were covered by dark clouds. Not even a bit of sunlight shined through those clouds. It did not rain or snow on those mountains the sky were plain black. The valleys through those mountains lived monstrous creatures that would kill anything that adventure through those grounds.

Walking through a cave entrance Ace holding a torch in his hand. The darkness of the cave looked endless as it was like he was walking inside a maze. A glimmering light shined further through the cave. As he got close to the light, the light came off throughout the wooden door in front of Ace.

He casually walked inside wooden door to find out the light came from four torches. As he entered the door the smells of herbs and medicine occupy the air. Ace saw bookcases and a mysterious figure's wearing a long black cloak standing in front of a alter.

The figure wearing the black cloak lift up it head. "You have arrived in time, son of Dawn," said the figure wearing the black cloak turning his face towards Ace. The figure had a grey beard man and bright green eyes, he also tattoos on his face. The figure casually walked up at Ace front.

"I am Dawn son. I came here at the request of my father, he said I should come here to you," Ace firmly said looking at grey beard man. The cloak figure's name was Eclipse.

Eclipse slightly laughed arriving in front of Ace face. He admired his confidence and attitude. " Have you taken a liking to your new place, Ace. You know why I have asked for you to come here, or have you forgotten already?"

Ace stared bleak at Eclipse. "No I haven't yet," said Ace. Eclipse casually laughed looked at Ace.

"I know what I'm here for old man."

"Haha, you are funny just like your father. Father like son you and your father have no respect me. I guess it's my fault for not showing you your places, hah," Eclipse laughed lifting his hand towards Ace. Ace paused for a second sighed placing his hand on top of Eclipse, who instantly grabbed forward the hand.

Eclipse was A powerful sorcerer and seer. He was one of the 5 most powerful sorcerers in the world. He had the power of foresight to people future through a single touch. The power of foresight was one of his great abilities. The power of foresight was the most rare ability only a few had.

During the interaction Eclipse eyes turned full black so was Ace eyes, veins of black appear on Ace hand transferring from him the Eclipse. Eclipse was charting in druid tongue as the room around them began shaking like there was a earthquake. Flushes of pictures appeared through Eclipse as he grip tight to Ace hand. He saw a land filled with snow and a horn beast standing tall in front of him.

The room stopped shaking, Eclipse let go of Ace hand. Ace fell down on his knee on the floor with both of their eyes back to normal. And then Eclipse turned fully white, charting more faster than before, and when he stop sweat could be seen across his face. He went to wash the sweat off his face with water.

"What did you see about my future?" Ace asked demanding Eclipse to disclose his vision of himself. Eclipse turned showing his pale face, it seemed like he had just a ghost.

"You're sure you want to what I saw?" Eclipse asked with a serious look. Ace nodded his head.

"Yeah, I'm sure, what did you see?" Ace asked with a anxiousness expression.

Eclipse sighed and laughed, "You're just like your father, okay I'll tell you what I saw," Eclipse stretched his whole body before telling Ace his vision. "I saw nothing. There was nothing in your future. " Ace face widened with surprised. He was confused by Eclipse words.

"I guess there's nothing interesting about me. So how is your father, is he still over doing his missions. I am worry one of this days he would find his match." Eclipse stated. Ace shook his head refusing to believe him, he walked up in front of Eclipse. Eclipse gave his a icy cold look halting Ace movements forward.

An intense released aura coming from Eclipse as he glance down at Ace. Ace was firmly staring him up, clenching his hands as if the powerful aura did not frighten him. He turned his back walking towards the door.

Before he could open the door Eclipse halted Ace, saying, "Hey boy, what I saw might be to dangerous for me to tell you right now!"

Ace slightly turned his head saying, "I'm no kid that need protecting."

Eclipse frowned his eyes and laughing out loud. "Ace, make sure she to keep her safe." He slowly began disappearing through the shadows of the cave. His words stuck inside of Ace mind, he was confusion those last words.

After arriving back at the house. Meanwhile he was cooking his dinner a knocking sound came from door.

Quickly hearing this sound Ace walked up to answer the door. Opening the door, his eyes widened in seeing Nora standing there. She was now wearing a dark blue dress with a brown belt across her figure, and brown boots. She was also holding a basket full of fleshly baked muffins.

Nora face flushed as Ace hands touched with hers. Nora turned her back walking away from the door. Ace stopped her saying, "Hey, I'm make dinner inside, I will like it if you join me."

Nora kindly refused his offer as she continued walking off towards the dark alley

Ace went back inside laving the basket of muffins on the living-room table, he then caught after Nora from behind. "Hey! Wait for me!" Nora slightly turned her face at Ace. She looked with a puzzled expression as Ace walked beside her.

She simply refused his nice gesture stated that she was walking this streets since she was young and knew them from the back of her head. Ace nodded his head in respond her decision; He did not understand why he felt like he needed to walk her back home, when she already arrived at his house alone. He looked from behind as she vanish deeper through the alley.
