Tess blushed and took the bowl to eat, feeling her stomach grumble with happiness from the meal. Then Talesa made her eat a small portion of grilled meat and gave her a delicious dessert. Tess felt like she was in heaven.
"Aunt, I'm going to the bathroom, where is it?" she whispered as Talesa smiled tenderly.
Talesa went to fetch some servants, who were wolves, and they bowed respectfully to Tess.
"Your Majesty, it is a pleasure for these servants to meet you and serve you," they both spoke in unison, leaving Tess feeling embarrassed. Now she knows that she is truly the mate of King Lycan and now... a queen?
One of the wolves approached to help her stand, while the other carried the IV bag, accompanying her to her private bathroom. The place is luxurious and immaculate. In her cell, she lived in her own waste and her heart cringed just thinking about it, until one of the wolves pulled her out of her thoughts.
"Your Majesty, we will leave you for a moment. When you are ready, we will come back to take you to bed," Briana said politely, and both wolves left to give her the privacy she needed.
Tess wanted to go out alone and realized that she couldn't walk properly. She is still very weak and understands why these maids assist her, so she had no choice but to call them for help, and they entered happily.
Tess saw herself in the mirror as she passed by the vanity and noticed the bruises on her face. They didn't seem as terrible until Talesa clarified the situation.
"Darling, you look much better than this morning. Truly, that IV has worked miracles," at that moment, Tess understood that what she saw was nothing compared to how she looked when she arrived. She herself feels immensely better than when she was in the cell.
Three months later...
Anubis is in his office, working accompanied by his Beta, Daniel, and his Gamma, Rafael, both wolves and close friends of the King. It's no small thing to be the right-hand of the King of the Southern Hemisphere.
At that moment, a middle-aged Lycan entered very respectfully, despite being a close friend of the King.

"Your Majesty, may I interrupt?" Tess said sweetly, melting Anubis's heart.
"Of course, little one, come here," Anubis moved slightly away from his desk in his executive chair, and she hopped in like a sweet bunny, seating herself on his lap with complete confidence.
His Beta and Gamma bowed to greet the Queen and withdrew.
"It's good to see you here, Your Majesty," Daniel said with a smile.
"It's a pleasure to have you here, as the King is in a good mood," Rafael said, amused, as Anubis dismisses them with a wave of his hand.
Those scoundrels know that his little one is his weakness, and they take advantage of the situation.
"Tell me, darling, what does my beautiful little one want?" Anubis said affectionately, making Tess blush. That man has her wrapped around his finger.
"My King, there is a project for homeless children, those little wolves are alone, and I would like to support it. Their parents died in battles or in cruel packs where they lost their natural guardians," the girl said distressed, having been left alone in life because of a scoundrel.
"Do it, darling. I love that you always think of the most vulnerable. You know that I support you in everything," Anubis said with a smile.
"Thank you, my King. You'll see, it will be really good," she smiled as she leaned against his chest. In these three months, only the heart beating inside calms and comforts her.
"Well, now I want my reward," Anubis said with a sparkle in his eyes, while Tess blushed like a tomato. She knows what the payment is, and this is how she falls more and more in love with that Lycan, not just because of the bond.
Anubis leaned in and gave her a sweet kiss on the lips as Tess pressed her lips against his. She felt herself growing more attracted to her mate with each passing moment. Despite being marked, they hadn't been intimate yet. Anubis wanted Tess to be ready for that before they made love.
