Anubis left to attend to his matters, while his aunt and sister prepared everything for when the Queen woke up. They had enlisted specialized individuals to ensure Tess's complete recovery.
Hours later, just as dusk settled, Tess woke up a little confused. She felt her body coming back to life; it seemed like she was truly being healed. However, she sat up abruptly as she felt a tug in her mind.
Desperate, she opened the bond, and there was her beloved she-wolf - happy and playfully jumping around. She was fine, and Tess was sure it was because of the IV still connected to her arm.
"Naru, my beloved she-wolf, I'm so glad to see you well. I'd die if anything happened to you. I couldn't protect you before, but now I know I must learn to take care of you. I promise I won't let anyone harm you ever again," Tess murmured in the lonely room.
When Tess was captivated, Talesa came in with a tray filled with various types of food in small portions. That girl had to start eating little by little, but several times a day.
