Chap 5 Mysterious invitation letter arrival

"Second sister Jessy, there's a letter for you!" cried Diana Amber, a beautiful little girl who wore a long, thin and light color dress. The dress she wore resembled beautiful long dresses adorned with sweet lace like the dresses of princesses in fairy tales. The eight-year-old little girl trotted into a large enough kitchen. There was a young woman in her early twenties wearing an apron facing a burning gas stove, cooking breakfast for the whole Amber family. Panting, Diana ****** a medium-sized brown envelope at the young woman.

"From where?" asked the cute girl with thin glasses who was concentrating on the food in front of her to the little girl beside her who kept on handing the letter.

Slowly, the little girl with the middle ponytail flipped through the brown enveloped letter in her hand to find out the name and address of the sender. Even though Diana flipped through the thick-looking letter envelope, this little girl could not find the address or the sender's name, she only found a logo resembling large capital letters like calligraphy carvings on a soft light brown base in pastel brown.

"Hmm-The name and address of the sender are nowhere to be found."

"Huh..." in disbelief, Jessy turned to Diana.

"Here, see for yourself!" Diana ****** the letter at her second sister.

Turning off the stove, Jessy took the brown envelope from her little sister's hand. She stared at the envelope intently, trying to find out where the letter had come from. As her sister said, there were no clues except for the large capital letter 'W' logo on the back of the envelope. When Jessy was about to open it, her sister's question made her stop.

"So, can I eat the breakfast that Sister Jessy made?" asked the little girl nearby looking at the delicious fried rice that Jessy had just finished cooking.

“Just eat… it's done, really. Eat a lot, but don't forget to call the others first. Let's eat together!" Jessy replied with a small smile seeing the behavior of her little sister who looked very hungry.

"Okay..then, Diana-call the others first." cried her sister excitedly as she ran off to call the rest of Amber's family.

Watching her little sister walk away, made Jessy smile again. Jessy put the brown envelope into her shirt pocket after folding it neatly. This young woman was sure Diana would not remember to tell the others about the letter Jessy had received. Her youngest sister never cared about anything other than her own business. Jessy also didn't mean to tell the other family members about the mysterious letter she got. This young woman is sure that this is the last thing in the world that she will do now.

Shortly after her little sister went to call the rest of Amber's family, the kitchen room became even busier with all of them coming. Alternately, all the family members took the breakfast that Jessy made alone. The woman who has a height of 168cm is a family member assigned by her parents to take care of all household matters at the Amber family residence. The other members, especially the father, who is a dictator to everyone in the house, considers Jessy the only resident who doesn't have anything to do.

The arrival of her father who appeared later than the others was enough to strengthen Jessy's intention to keep the mysterious letter she had just received a secret. In her heart, Jessy really didn't want her father to know about the letter that was safe in the pocket of the shirt she was wearing. The young woman was afraid that if the letter contained things that matched her hunch, she felt that she would encounter great trouble from her stubborn father if she was found out.

Based on the legal law, she knew for sure that her father could not force her to do anything she didn't want to anymore because she was considered an adult, but the ancient family customs full of limitations that her father embraced until now were difficult to free her from these restraints.

The restraint that Gerry Amber kept reminding her throughout her life, made this modern-minded young woman often find it difficult to stay inside this family; makes her want to argue and give her views to her parents but the years of upbringing that Jessy received as a woman in her family is not easy to let this happen. Jessy is so used to living in silence without a fight in the family because of her father's ancient upbringing.

The ancient upbringing of his father states; In one family, the head of the family, especially the father, is never wrong. They have the right to be above others and the women in the family have rights that can be marginalized and forgotten when compared to the rights that must be received by the men. Men always deserve more and better than women. Women have no right to complain or fight against the power that men receive.

This hot-blooded and sweet woman, of course, could not easily accept this upbringing forced on her. The late realization of the injustices she received from childhood could not change much about what continued to happen in her daily life. Although it has changed her view of her own existence, the process she can go through in her family circle can never be according to her free will. It was very difficult to try to penetrate the ancient web of upbringing that had long been embedded in the formation of her and her surroundings. The webs have been buried so deep, too deep for a long period of time.

The time seen from the large clock placed on the dining room wall was already eight in the morning when Jessy slowly left the long dining table in the kitchen room, where all of Amber's family members had breakfast together every day. She left the table without attracting the attention of the rest of the family.

The rest of her family were busy chatting about topics that often never involved her except when Gerry Amber tried to involve her in various troublesome criticisms and hurt her fragile heart. Avoiding the incident happening again on a beautiful morning, Jessy tried to quickly leave the room to her room so she could check the mysterious envelope addressed to her.

When she arrived at her room, Jessy turned on the light and locked the door so no one could disturb her. After making sure the doors and windows were tightly closed, she started to open the mysterious envelope. Slowly, this young brown-skinned woman opened the brown envelope carefully. When she opened it, she found that there was more than one sheet of paper inside. She took it all out of the medium-sized envelope she was holding by pouring it onto her old single bed.

Jessy read the first letter she took from the envelope, it contained the following;

Dear;

Ms. Jessy Amber

We sincerely wish to inform you of our intention to offer you an interesting job. We have selected you and several other participants so that they can take a further series of tests in order to get the job.

As for the details of the job that you will receive, you will be clearly informed if you as a participant can pass through a series of further tests that will be given. Our party guarantees your satisfaction regarding all the facilities that you will get, if you manage to get the job which of course is accompanied by a satisfactory income for your side.

Thus our notification, we expect your willingness to take part in the series of further tests that we organize. If you are interested, we have attached a letter that accompanies this notice regarding the location and time of the follow-up test will be held. We expect your presence there at the appointed time.

Thank you for your attention;

“Haahhh… I knew it would be a letter like this.” Jessy sighed heavily. “Wonder-how did they find out about me? I don't think I've ever submitted an application to their side. I'm confused, who is the 'our side' mentioned in this letter? It seems so mysterious!”

Curious, Jessy read the other sheet of the letter; “Well…I guess I'll have to come to the place mentioned in the other letter if I want to know more. If later I do not pass or do not like it I can immediately resign. There's no harm in finding out more about the meaning of this letter."

Deciding easily what she wanted to do was a very rare habit for Jessy, but when she did, usually this sweet girl would trust her instincts that made her decide so quickly. After deciding to attend and find out more, Jessy immediately prepared the clothes to be used to attend the test call which was more like a formal invitation. She decided to wear formal clothes considering that the meeting place would be held in the meeting room of a well-known hotel. Jessy hoped in her heart that her departure would be beneficial and not disappoint her curiosity.
