Exhausted from arguing, Lusi relented and let Vin enter. The group promptly headed to the restaurant's private room, the venue for the evening's festivity, where they unexpectedly encountered Romi and several other friends.
Upon Sifa's arrival, Romi greeted her with a warm embrace—which she returned—unmindful of her husband standing behind.
"How have you been, Sifa? You grow lovelier with time," Romi complimented her.
"I'm well, but don't flatter me too much, or I'll blush," Sifa responded.
"I mean it. And... who is this?" Romi inquired, glancing at Vin.
"Meet Vindra," Sifa introduced. She then excused herself to mingle with other friends.
"Oh, he's the boyfriend. Had my coal company not collapsed, Sifa would be mine," Romi declared, prompting only a frown from Vin who decided to join Sifa.
Vin introduced himself to everyone, following Sifa's lead, making an effort to socialize and not disappoint her.
"Don't just blurt out things, Romi. Vin is now part of the Gultom family, Sifa's husband," Lusi corrected Romi.
"What? He's her husband? Why didn't you say so sooner?" Romi expressed in disbelief.
Vin stood nearby, deliberately ignoring Romi while enjoying the party and watching Sifa engrossed in conversation with Lusi and Nia.
"You've upset Vin with your antics, and inadvertently insulted Sifa without realizing it," Nia told Romi, casting a glance at the oblivious Vin.
"Don't annoy me. Don't compare me to that detestable man. I'm certain Sifa would choose me," Romi retorted, visibly irritated.
"I doubt that," Nia teased.
"Well, it seems someone's making comparisons. Obviously, you've lost; you're merely dreaming, while I've already won her over, and Sifa accepts me as I am—understand?" Vin chimed in, aggravating Romi further.
Sifa seemed uneasy at the party, obviously unable to enjoy herself, as if awaiting something—someone who had yet to arrive.
Recently, Sifa's company had been facing financial troubles. They needed substantial funds to cover debts and, currently, the only potential benefactor was Zen, a wealthy philanthropist.
"Does anyone know when Zen will arrive? I really hope he can make it. I need to see him. I'm hoping for his financial support," Sifa confided, an admission Vin accidentally overheard without her having mentioned her company's financial woes before.
Everyone knew Zen to be a generous benefactor, and Lusi hoped fervently for his assistance with the business.
'So, Sifa's company is in financial difficulty, and she seeks assistance from that man,' Vin mused upon catching their conversation.
"Why hasn't Sifa shared her troubles with me?" Vin realized for the first time that Lusi required five billion for her enterprise. This revelation spurred Vin to contemplate assisting his wife's dilemma discretely and without begging for help from another man.
"I need to step out for a moment, to the restroom," Vin excused himself politely from the gathering, receiving merely a nod from Sifa.
"Go, and don't come back," Romi called after him, disregarded by Vin.
Once outside, Vin immediately contacted a number, reaching Ambar.
"Hello, who is this?" Ambar's voice queried through the phone.
"Mrs. Ambar, this is Vin. I'm in need of your help," he requested.
"Mr. Vin, yes, this is Ambar. Tell me what you require. I will assist," Ambar replied.
Vin explained why he needed Ambar's help, and promptly, Ambar acquiesced to fulfill Vin's request.
Witnessing Vin's abrupt departure after eavesdropping on Sifa's dialogue with her peers, Lusi looked upon him disdainfully, underestimating him greatly.
"Why did he rush out like that? Did he overhear you, Sifa, and is he planning to help?" Lusi pondered.
"What do you mean, Lusi? Why would you think that? It's highly unlikely he'd do something of the sort," Nia interjected.
"I don't know, but it's improbable that Vin knows Zen, let alone bring him here for my sake. I'm well-acquainted with Vin; it's implausible he could accomplish that," Sifa chimed in skeptically.
"Are you so sure, Sifa? But isn't it possible he might do it to help you? He relies on your family; perhaps shame drives him to endeavor to help," Nia suggested.
"Don't entertain thoughts that Vin will approach Zen to help overcome my company's financial troubles. It's not feasible," Sifa dismissed the idea.
"It's impossible. You've seen Vin himself; how could he persuade Zen to assist you? I'd wager he couldn't do it," Nia affirmed.
"What expectations do you hold for Zen? He's not the philanthropist you imagine; he's a scoundrel. Did you know my friend borrowed money from him but had to return it multifold, so much so that he had to sell his car and house just to clear an initial debt of just ten million? And did you know Zen even slept with my newlywed wife? If I meet him, there'll be consequences," Romi disclosed.
"Watch your words, Romi; don't slander Zen. He's a good man. Don't besmirch him over a personal grievance," Lusi warned.
"Think what you will, but I've given you fair warning. Experience his deceit for yourself," Romi retorted, agitated.
Amidst the dispute, the private room door was suddenly kicked open, and the figure they had all been anticipating stood in the entry.
