Several years ago, Gultom was a property developer who constructed numerous residences. Yet, due to various obstacles, the financial chain underpinning the housing projects was severed, leaving the final villa unfinished. Consequently, the villa now lies abandoned, with no set timetable for its completion.
Now, Sifa is leveraging this situation to hold on to Vin, to make it harder for him to walk away.
In truth, Vin wants a divorce because he doesn't want Sifa to suffer by staying with him, as she would likely become a subject of ridicule from those who dislike him.
But Vin's good intentions are unappreciated; instead, Sifa looks down on him, and ultimately, she presents him with a condition for herself.
"I want that villa to be rebuilt. If you manage to do that, I won't stand in your way anymore. But for now, you can't just divorce me, understand?" Sifa declares, resuming the unfinished conversation as Vin heads to the bathroom.
"Fine, I'll try. Are you satisfied now? Is there any other condition you want to add? Because after this, there will be no more conditions from me." Vin heads straight to the bathroom for a shower. After his shower, he clearly hears Sifa's conversation with her friend on the phone, as if she's intentionally allowing Vin to overhear.
"Nia, come with Lusi and me tomorrow, will you? I want to meet handsome men at the clubhouse party. I don't want to go alone; that's why I want you two to join me. You'll come, right? Okay then, see you tomorrow night," Sifa says before turning off her cell phone and heading back into the bedroom.
"Where are you going tomorrow?" Vin asks her while settling down on the bed.
"What does it matter to you? I'm going to a party with my friends tomorrow. You can't stop me because it's what I want," Sifa retorts sharply.
"Suit yourself. I don't care anymore where you want to go or who you'll be with," Vin responds, deciding to go to sleep, leaving Sifa visibly annoyed by his reaction.
'So utterly insensitive,' Sifa mutters to herself.

The next day, Miranda accidentally finds a Rolex watch that Vin had placed in the cabinet and forgotten to keep in his room.
"Whose watch is this?" Miranda asks, examining it.
Vin sees his mother-in-law holding the watch he meant to retrieve, but she takes it before he can claim it, opting to stay silent when Miranda interrupts him.
"This must be a watch from Kania, intended for her father,” Miranda asserts, going to find Kania to confirm it.
"Oh, Kania, good timing. I wanted to ask - is this your watch? It's lovely, certainly costly. You really have an eye for quality," Miranda compliments her.
"Yes, Mom, I bought it as a surprise for Dad; I hope he likes it," Kania lies, although she doesn't actually know the owner of the watch.
When Gultom approaches, Kania hands over the watch.
"Dad, I hope you'll accept this small gift from us," Kania says as she gives the watch to Gultom, who takes it gladly.
Vin watches his sister-in-law's shameless act. Soon Sifa approaches Vin, seeing her family gathered.
"See, Vin, your brother-in-law can give us luxury gifts. When will you ever be able to offer gifts like your brother-in-law?" Miranda taunts.
"Mom, Vin already managed to take more than ten million from the BMX company, isn't that enough? Please, stop comparing them," Sifa defends Vin, frustrated by her mother's constant comparisons, though she dares not confront her as she dislikes the idea of having a poor husband.
"That wasn't a gift; it was a condition he had to fulfill to be able to divorce you, so it wasn't a present but rather a responsibility, a different thing entirely," Miranda continues, defending Kania.
In the midst of the argument, Gultom is preoccupied with the Rolex, which isn't working.
"Why isn't the watch moving? Is it broken?" Gultom asks, flipping the watch over; even Miranda checks it in disbelief, but it remains still.
"Really, Dad? That's a new watch, impossible to be broken. Please check again," Kania insists.
"But it's not moving, Kania. Did you not check it before buying?" Miranda questions her.
"Um, well, Mom..." Kania stutters, caught off-guard.
Watching his in-laws struggle with the immobile watch, Vin steps forward.
"Hand it over, Dad, let me try," Vin says, and Gultom passes him the watch.
Vin quickly activates it with his fingerprint, and the watch begins to tick.
He shows the working watch to Gultom and Miranda without handing it back.
Gultom and Miranda are stunned, wondering how Vin managed it, as they thought it wasn't his.
"How did you get this watch, which I thought was broken, to work?" Gultom inquires.
"It's my watch; I use my fingerprint to start it," Vin answer reveals, embarrassing Miranda, who turns to Kania in disbelief that her daughter would lie and shame her.
"Kania! Why'd you say you bought it when it obviously isn't yours? Why mislead us?" Miranda fumes, humiliated.
"Sorry, Mom, I didn't mean to lie to you or embarrass you," Kania replies, hanging her head.
Displeased Gultom and Miranda depart quickly, unwilling to be humiliated further.
"Mmm, quite a performance, sister-in-law. I give it a nine," Vin jests.
"Enough, Vin, don't treat sister Kania that way," Sifa interjects, with Vin merely smirking.
