Hearing Vin's words, all eyes turned to Mateo with surprise, but Mateo quickly dismissed Vin's accusation.

"I would never give a fake painting as a gift. Do you know I bought this from a quite famous place, and experts have said that this painting is authentic. You don't have enough evidence to claim that this painting is a fake. So don't talk recklessly. You'd better apologize now, or I will embarrass you more than you've done to me," Mateo said, outraged by Vin's allegation.

Rania stepped forward to approach and help her husband deal with Vindra's accusation.

"Vin, you know my husband is incredibly wealthy, so it's improbable anyone would dare to cheat him. While you, on the other hand, are just a poor man who doesn't even know how to paint, let alone assess a genuine painting from a fake one, so don't dare say this painting is a counterfeit," Rania said.

Vin calmly responded to the derogatory remarks from his sister-in-law and brother-in-law.

"Indeed, I can't paint, and I can't explain why the painting is a fake. But at least, my father-in-law will be able to tell whether it's genuine or not," Vin replied calmly.

Vin's words caused Rania and Mateo a slight jolt and brought on a wave of anxiety about the legitimacy of his claim, knowing that if Vin was correct, their reputation would be ruined.

Soon after, Gultom and Miranda arrived, and all the relatives who had gathered to watch the two in-laws' squabble promptly returned to their seats, pretending not to care about what had transpired.

Seizing the opportunity, Mateo quickly approached his in-laws. He complained about Vin's accusation regarding the painting he intended to give to his father-in-law.

"Father, I purposely bought this expensive painting as a gift for you, but my brother-in-law Vin is claiming it's fake. Can't you see that it's genuine?" Mateo said as he displayed the painting to his father-in-law.

Gultom glanced at the painting for a brief moment and was able to discern the difference between authentic and counterfeit.

Gultom murmured to his wife, "What Vin says is true. If Mateo's painting here is indeed a fake. What will you do now?" His hushed tone left Miranda aghast, yet she contemplated her son-in-law's dignity, wishing to avoid public embarrassment.

Miranda looked at Mateo with discontent, "What Vin said is absolutely not true. The painting Mateo brought is genuinely authentic. And Vin, you shouldn't insult your brother-in-law by falsely accusing him. You had better apologize to him instead," Miranda declared.

Vindra was stunned by his mother-in-law's statement, confident in his belief that his father-in-law knew the painting was a fake.

"Father, could you please examine the painting again? I am certain you would be able to differentiate," Vin said, still unconvinced and wishing to persuade his father-in-law to double-check.

"Vin, I've already told you that your brother-in-law's painting is authentic, so don't persist in asking your father-in-law for confirmation. You'd better apologize to Mateo now, or leave," interjected Miranda, continuing to stand by Mateo. This bolstered Mateo's arrogance, causing him to smirk at Vin.

Despite knowing the painting was counterfeit, Miranda stubbornly defended Mateo, not wishing to shame her son-in-law who owned a construction firm that promised prosperity for her second daughter.

"Vin, you should really apologize to your brother-in-law. Father has proven that his painting is authentic. What more do you wish to prove? Do not create issues and embarrass me, just apologize," said Sofi.

Hearing Sofi siding with Mateo and against him, Vin felt an immense disappointment. He refused to apologize as he believed he had done nothing wrong.

"I won't apologize. What I stated is the truth. If my in-laws continue to defend my brother-in-law while clearly knowing the painting is fake. Fine, then. I will prove to you all that what I've been saying is true, and I will not bow my head when it is upright," retorted a deeply disappointed Vin. He no longer cared about respecting Sofi's feelings now that she had shown no regard for his own.

Vin strode forward and approached the painting. Without permission, he destroyed it in front of everyone. The onlookers could only gape at Vin's daring act.

Shortly thereafter, Vin extracted a strand of nylon thread from the ruins of the painting and showcased to all that it was genuinely fraudulent.

"Do you all see this? As I have said multiple times, this painting is nothing but rubbish. Only the original exists, and its owner is a powerful figure here. The true artist created only one such work," Vin explained frustratedly.

"What Vin has said is accurate. I was aware from the beginning that the painting was a fake. The sole owner of the original is Mr. Gon, and the artist made only one. And my husband Firman, just so you know, the present Vin has given is far more valuable than the counterfeit painting Mateo presented. Though it seems simple, it is a life-extending supplement. Kania's revelation about the supplement piqued Gultom's interest to see it, knowing that attaining such a supplement would take time, but now Vin had presented it as a gift. However, Miranda hastily interceded, unwilling to let Vin feel victorious over her.

"Kania, why do you defend your brother-in-law? Even if he's right, he has humiliated the family during your father's fiftieth birthday. Is such behavior fitting for a son-in-law? Vin, you're better off leaving. Your presence here only serves to disgrace us," Miranda snapped.

Without further ado, Vin departed from the Sunwei Hotel, burdened with disappointment. Disappointed in the Gultom family for undervaluing him and further disheartened by his wife who had favored her brother over her own husband.
