It's been 7 years since I started living in this new world. I'm 14 years old now, time sure flies. It felt like just a few seconds ago I was laying in a bed back at my villa, and now it's almost as if I had just blinked, and I'm here... My sisters are busy as usual, Lory still looks after me, and mom and dad are as playful and laid back as the first time we met.
I started studying when I was 8 years old as I requested and also learned swordsmanship and a bit of hand-to-hand combat from the instructor that dad hired and arranged for me.
Not much has changed from when I first got here, but I am certainly warming up to this place. My sisters and I even started living in the palace with mom and dad a couple of years back, so it's pretty comfortable.
I'm also helping with the chores a bit. Of course it was a decision I made out of my own free will, but Lory seems uncomfortable with the thought saying that as a royal I shouldn't be doing any chores whatsoever if not my royal duties. I just brush it off
...
I look out into an open field for a moment, then a thought pops in my mind.
"I miss them."
It had been years since I had last seen my friends and family. A series of worrying thoughts starts to run through my head. 'Is aunt Marilyn ok? Are they worried? Are they thinking about me? Do they even still remember me?.... Are 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 ok?' The thoughts just keep going...
As I shake the thoughts away, I continue doing my chores.
I catch a glimpse of my relflection in the water of the bucket i hold.
"I... sort of look the same as I did in my past life, just a bit more... pretty..." well that isn't much of a surprise, after all I am growing older, people have started to notice that too as I am meeting more and more new people.
"Psyche!" Lory calls my name. "It's almost time for dinner!"
Oh, its already this late huh. I seriously have been in a daze letely I didn't even realize the time or that the sun has already set... "Psyche, come on it's getting dark!"
"Y-yes yes! I'm coming, Lory! I just have to finish this last chore!" Responding, I stumble on my words.
"I told you already, you don't have to do those!"
"It's alright! I wanted to!"
"Ugh, just hurry, ok? It's getting dark!"
"Alright!"
I start moving faster in order to finish my chores quicker so that I can finally finish.
It's been a long day, and I have thought about a lot of things...
Let's think about this later. Let's focus on getting these chores done so we can eat!
