Chapter 4- New World pt.3

After changing I head outside and out the door I see a navy colored carriage lined with a golden vine like design. "Wow" is all i could think. And inside were two young, fair maidens, they were my sisters.

Lory looks down at me, "I will be staying here to watch over the villa, you go enjoy your time with your family, alright? Psyche?"

"Alright." I reply. I then hop into the carriage with my sisters, and the carriage starts moving. I look out the window of the carriage to find Lory waving goodbye.

"Goodbye Lory! I'll be back soon!" I shout from the carriage in hopes for Lory to here. She nods as a reply and then she chuckles.

I sit back down to see two dumbfounded faces staring at me. There is an uncomfortable atmosphere between me and my sisters, I start to introduce myself as an atempt to break the ice. "Hello! I'm your little brother, Psyche. You must be my sisters!" I reach my hand out for a handshake, but didn't get one back. I put my hand down as the awkward atmosphere around us thickens. My eyes meet a gaze of confusion from one of my sisters...

"Uh, well-"

"That's enough Donna, fix your face." One of them cuts me off.

"Weren't you shocked too? No one has ever asked for our hand if it wasn't for marriage! We didn't learn anything about this. What if this is some test that our tutors prepared for us??? What if were failing???" Donna seems shocked and confused, she also seems to overthink a lot.

"Nonesense, they wouldn't be testing us when we are on our way to the palace to spend time with family."

*scoff* "Whatever."

'They seem to be a lot more normal than I thought they would be.' I end up in a daze, unintentionally staring at my sisters.

"I believe I didn't introduce myself, My name is Tesa. It's nice to finally see you again, Psyche." A soft smile appears on her face.

"And I'm Donna! Nice to see you again, little brother!"

Donna shows a big brimming smile.

Huh, they seem really nice. This is nice. I pause for a momment before speaking.

"Nice to see you two again!" A warm feeling starts to swarm my chest.

We arrive at the palace and two royal guards assist us on our way inside.

As were walking to the entrance I look at the scenery. To the left a beautiful garden with rose bushes, green grassy ground that looked like it was well kept, and a fence seperating us from it. To the right, a big, 3 tiered, marble fountain, with clean and clear water that glistens in the sunlight, running down it. And at the entrance, the king and queen waiting to greet us.

We reach the entrance and my sisters curtsy to the king and queen. In a panic, I do so aswell.

*chuckle* The queen laughs at my actions.

'How embarrassing' my face turns red.

"How polite of our children to curtsy at our presence, right dear?" The queen asks.

"That is right my love." The king replies. "But there is no need for we are family, no? Rest easy my children" the king adds to ease the tension in the air.

"How about we go inside to eat, hm? The servants have already prepared us our meals, let's not dilly dally." The queen says in excitement.

The king and queen head inside, and me and my sisters follow.

The queen starts up a conversation while we eat., "So then, how are your studies going girls?"

"Our studies have been doing well. I got good feedback from both my etiquette and dance tutors."

"And I have done well with my social studies and have recently started practicing how to dance!"

"That's wonderful you two!" The queen puts on a satisfued look as she continues eating dinner.

Both of my sisters seem to be working hard on their studies, but all I did was eat and play while we were staying in the villa. I raise my hand to speak, "I haven't studied!"

The table goes silent for a few seconds..."HAHAHA"

the king and queen burst in laughter. 'Honestly, what a sight to see people of such high rankings to simply burst out laughing' I thought to myself.

"Oh dear, *phew*" the king takes a moment to breath before speaking again.

"You haven't studied yet because we haven't arranged new tutors and a schedule for you yet, but also because you never wanted to study!" The king let's out another laugh.

'Oh right, Lory did mention that. Maybe I shouldn't have said that' my face flushes red in embarrassment.

"But of course if you are interested now we can make haste with the preparations." The queen follows up on the king's statement.

"Yes that's right, but dont rush my boy. After all you are only 7 years old." Says the king.

"T-then I am honored, you majesties. Thank you." I thank the king and queen for their efforts on the matter.

" 'Your majesties'?, there is no need for you to call us that my dear. Call us mother and father." Says the queen in a caring motherly like tone.

"Ah, then thank you, mother and father!"
