07: Eastern Hallow Vales

Eastern Hallow Vales was the largest of the five great continents on Heavenly Eclipse World. It was vast, spanning billions of miles.

The continent was divided into two massive lands, with each spanned millions of miles by themselves. While the South was a vast desert with a climate was almost ten times hotter than the sun, the North was covered by a never-ending snow and blizzard.

Due to its special circumstances, this continent had no day and night, and time seemed to stop for this place. Even gravity could not penetrate the powerful spell that surrounded this place.

With the continent's extreme temperatures, only a few beasts survived. The abominable Snowman, Yeti, and the tribes of Snow Dragons.

The mystical Yeti resembled a large, hairy, apelike creature that was two times taller than an average human. It was said that their species guarded the Northern Vales. It was also believed that they are nocturnal. It whistles and growls, and can kill with a single punch.

The Dragon tribe on the other hand, were massive dragons. They guarded the tallest mountains on the planet. They have a long, serpentine body that was common to all true Dragon, as well as four legs ending in powerful paws and massive wings. Their scales were either silver or purple and iridescent, while their horns and spikes are red or black.

...****************...

Due to the great distance, it took Shivani a few days to reach the East. Upon setting foot on the ground, Shivani's own weight instantly fell to zero.

Her body sent her brain weird signals. Some sweat started to form on her forehead, and the balance of her inner ear was gone. Her bones were no longer needed as it continuously leaked calcium. It was followed by her back. It was now aching due to the sudden elongation of her spine. Inside her stomach, her guts were a total wreck, and because of the shift in her fluid level, she felt a need to go to the restroom.

Soon enough, Shivani found herself floating a few meters above the ground. At that moment, she either moved slowly, or was not moving at all.

Closing her eyes, Shivani relaxed all her muscles. It was not that long when her aura surrounded her whole body. It instantly clung on her clothes as it disappeared. It also gave her the warmth she needed. As soon as it was gone, she was already descending at a rapid speed. The impact made the ground a large crater. Several chunks of snow were lifted. At the center, Shivani stood still.

Her weight was already tripled, but she ignored it. Adjusting herself to her new weight, she started to walk around.

Shivani sported a small smile as she took in her surroundings. Nothing changed since the last time she was here.

She was familiar with the place. Eastern Hallow Vales used to be her playground during her early years of cultivation. The crystallized snow shimmered under the moon's fluorescent rays. Even the milky, white clouds floated while the howling wind matched the chalky white color of the snow that were scattered all over the rolling hills and mountains. The forceful wind blew like a hurricane, providing Shivani an intrepid journey ahead.

The jagged rocks were like sharp knives, piercing her feet through her thin sandals.

Shivani trudged up the bleached landscape while expanding her senses in all directions. The frigid conditions were even icier than the sea of the Antarctic.

Shivani's back was already weighing her down. It was as though she's carrying tons of weight that's draining her body of energy. The dry, cold wind wrapped around her. Shutting her eyes, she gasped for air. Her skin almost blackened as the moisture in the air crystallized into a microscopic needle-like crystals which glinted under the three moons. Nonetheless, Shivani sported a small smile as she started to walk slowly.

In a distance, she saw a familiar peak that soared up like they wished to challenge the sky itself. Dominating the horizon in every angle. It was made of rigid rocks and snow.

Some of its mighty trees stood like a ghost. They served as the silent protector for the snowy continent.

oooOooo

Due to the brutal weather conditions, Shivani took her time wondering around before reaching her base. It was augmented and rendered sublime by the shining pyramids and domes towered above all, as it belonged to another world. The habitats of another race of beings. She needed to check on something before continuing her mission. As soon as she saw her objective, she narrowed her eyes.

It was still covered with snow, but something was wrong. Closing her eyes, she began to spread her senses and ignored the heavy blizzard. She stayed still for a few moments before smiling leisurely.

She did not even bothered to open her eyes when she moved her head to evade an upcoming attack.

It was followed by a loud crash of something big behind her. Opening her eyes, she turned around and saw seven black corpse made out of metal. Despite not having a life, each of them excuded a powerful aura like a god of war. Every part of their body was made from exquisite parts that were arranged in a truly breathtaking manner. It was simply the epitome of craftsmanship.

Even so, not even the slightest emotion could be seen on her face as she faced her opponents.

The powerful gust of wind marked the beginning of their fight. The first humanoid attacked with a blinding speed with all the intentions of slicing her in half. Its hand transformed into a sword with a sharp edge, so Shivani quickly jumped as high as she could. Landing on its shoulders, she quickly pulled its head until it was beheaded before throwing it on the side. Before she could react, a hard metal connected on her guts, sending her flying towards a huge trunk. Upon impact, the tree shook violently.

Shivani coughed up some blood, but she had no time to wipe it when her opponent dashed towards her with lightning speed.

Left with no other choice, Shivani brought out her priced dagger to protect herself. The clashing of their weapons created a shockwave, but she stayed rooted on her spot. The next thing she knew, a powerful kick connected to her ribs sending her skidding towards the icy ground.

The pregnant silence was shattered when a small laugh filled the area. It grew louder and louder.

Shivani slid her thumb on her lips with blood on it, then licked it before grinning even more devilishly.

"Play time's, over!"

The six corpse metal dashed again, however, she already has enough. With a speed that no one could match, she countered the attack. In just a blink of an eye, all of her opponents fell hard on the ground with all their heads on her hands.

'The hunt begins, now!' Tossing the severed heads somewhere, she continued to walk like nothing happened.

oooOooo

Shivani now stood on top of an elegant peak with a tempting worldy essense that almost pillared through the clouds. There was an ancient pine tree that stood proudly near the edge. On this continent where everything was frozen, this tree was the only one that remained untouched. It looked liked a dragon reaching for the sky. The barks of this tree was like dragon scales; they were basked in this continent for countless years.

In all her years on this world, this spot was her favorite. She could see a spectacular view. Below was a massive waterfall that was frozen solid. Most of all, a dragon's nest was located on the other side of the mountain. The temperature was also intensified because of its location.

Just then, a creepy smile appeared on her beautiful face. She had her eyes closed when she sensed them. It only took a few minutes when she finally opened her eyes. Turning around, she was greeted by a massive army of one million corpse metals.

Shivani observed them for a split-second. Some of them were a bit larger than the others, but all of them excuded demonic aura.

Even a devil king would be petrified by this mighty force, but she gave it no mind. They simply could not enter her eyes.

Without wasting any time, all the machines surrounded Shivani. Wielding their unique weapons, all of them immediately charged in all possible directions. They had all the intention of a brutal massacre, but before any of them could make contact, she simply stretched her arms upwards.

"Heavenly Tribulations!" Her voice was almost a whisper, however, all the realms quivered in fear before this terrifying attack. Suddenly, the sky opened, which gave way to a massive, and powerful bolts of lightning. It immediately massacred all the corpse metals in its path.

Heavenly Tribulations was the weakest of the seven ultimate techniques that she created. However, it was more than enough to eliminate everything on its path. In just a blink of an eye, mountains made out of metal corpses piled up. Pieces of metals fell down like a never-ending rain. Under the might of this technique, even an army of millions would be destroyed.

The aftermath of this attack left nothing, but corpse metals scattered on the ground.

Moreover, mountains had been split in half, and a gigantic peak was seemingly torn off from the ice. The thick snow surrounding the entire area melted, leaving behind a vast ocean that expanded for thousands of miles.

Floating a few meters above the newly created ocean, Shivani narrowed her eyes on a particular corpse metals with the color of flames. Unlike the others, this one had a human head with flesh and blood. It seemed to have its own sentience as it narrowed its eyes on Shivani.

"Girl, you really dared to bare your teeth against a lion! Scram out of my sight to avoid making a mistake."

With that, he stepped forward with a bold aura. A buzzing sound occured as his body released two divine rings. With two rings around his body and a colored halo above his head, his blood energy spewed forth like a flood. He was like a fierce lion capable of crushing a huge boulder with his aggressive atmosphere.

A murderous glint suddenly flashed on his eyes when the girl ignored him.

He arrogantly looked at Shivani and sneered. "I already gave you a chance. Now, it was too late for regrets."

He then let out a loud roar as a flaming sword with a sharp edge appeared from his grasp.

Shivani's slight movements marked his attack.

"Die!" The Flaming corpse metal snarled. He disappeared in an instant, and reappeared in front of Shivani. With a swift swing, the sword came crashing down with the might of a mountain towards Shivani.

Explosions resounded nonstop as the ocean almost broke apart from such a domineering attack. The corpse metal had a smug smile on his face, however, it immediately turned ugly as soon as he realized what just happened.

Time seemed frozen as he became dumbfounded at the unraveling scene. He did not want to believe his own eyes. The extremely sharp sword was leisurely stopped by Shivani with her bare fingers.

He stumbled backwards, but before he make a considerable distance, Shivani fiercely slammed her own dagger forward. The power behind her swing was devastating. It seemingly carried the weight of thousands of divine mountains. The corpse metal felt that this simple attack could crush the even gods and devils.

Nevertheless, he roared and immediately took out all of his strongest weapons. Everything came out and formed an arc to protect his body.

Not a second later, a deafening blast shook even the clouds up above. This attack could have plucked the moons in the sky! This attack destroyed all of the corpse metal's weapons. The weight and power behind the blow was of an unimaginable magnitude. The corpse metal was immediately blown away. He vomited a huge amount of blood with a pale expression. His treasures barely protected him from becoming a bloody mist.

With this turn of events, his body shivered from fear while his brain thumped, screaming for him to escape. The corpse metal knew that he had provoked someone he should not have. He did not dared to waste time thinking and immediately turned to run as far away as possible.

However, Shivani was not willing to let him go as she suddenly reappeared before the corpse metal, blocking his path.

"Girl. I..."

Before he finished talking, Shivani once again swung her dagger horizontally. The attack had a blinding speed that turned into a flash of light that rushed forward.

The corpse metal increased his speed to escape, but it was already too late. The attack cut through his metal body like a soft tofu. This strike did not even leave a fragment of metal behind as several pieces fell to the bottom of the newly formed ocean. Without sparing a second glance, Shivani flew out of there like nothing happened.

oooOooo

It has been a few days since her encounter. She was now on the land of desert, but so far, she had not encountered anything yet. Beads of sweat began to form on her forehead, however, she gave it no mind as she observed her surroundings. On the horizon, there were three suns that shone like the breath of hell. Scanning the area, all she saw was endless sand. Not even a single living organism could be seen. The desert was devoid of any life.

As soon as she set her foot on the sand, a giant scorpion suddenly appeared. It quickly crawled underneath towards her so Shivani quickly jumped.

She landed a few meters away, but before she took action, she observed the predator. With a glance, she already knew that it was a robotic scorpion. With its size, she needed to find its weakness.

Shivani was taken aback when the creature spat some green liquid. She quickly dodged. As soon as the liquid hit the sand, it melted and created a hole. Shivani smirked when she realized what it was.

It was a powerful acid that would melt even the strongest metal.

Evading another attack, she jumped as high as she could and kicked it in the middle. The creature was sent slumping several meters away from her.

The force of the impact created a huge crater on the sand. The creature quickly made a hole, but before it could go down, Shivani grabbed its tail, stopping the creature from escaping.

She felt a powerful aura that slowly built in her stomach. In a split-second, it burst through her veins until her whole body glowed on a red and black aura. She then lifted the huge scorpion with ease.

With a stroke of her hands, the scorpion was already a few meters above the ground. Smirking evilly, Shivani clenched her fists.

As soon as she did, the creature burst into millions of pieces. It scattered everywhere, but Shivani just walked out of there like nothing happened.

For several hours, she walked through the intense heat of the sun without stopping. She was already covered with sweat, but she ignored it. After a few more hours, her lips dried. Her throat begged for some water, but she did not have any.

Soon enough, a huge oasis came to her view. She didn't know if it was real or an illusion, but she didn't care.

There were several biological diversity plants. Rare species of flora and fauna, and some small animals that live on the trees. As she walked deeper in oasis, she observed some varieties of plants that staggered because of the hostile climate.

Soon enough, Shivani reached a dead end. Unlike when she first entered, the spot was covered with dead plants. Branches were scattered everywhere, and the color of the sand was black.

There were also several mysterious trails on the ground. Without any second thoughts, Shivani followed the tracks. It led her to the far end to her left.

There, she saw a medium-sized space pod. There was only a tiny window located in the front. The first noticeable thing was the utter lack of motion. As soon as she touched the molten metal, the surface rippled like a pond in a breeze, and it suddenly changed shape. Just then, the door opened, followed by four metallic spider legs that sprout from its sides.

Without realizing it, Shivani went inside. It was barren, smooth, and appeared as dirt brown walls in the lack of light, with sharp corners at the vertexes. Sitting within the lonely chair, she tried to empower the pod without realizing that it was an automated machine. As soon as she punched the red button, a robotic voice suddenly sprang to life.
