The Helpful Ghost

Travis leaves for work and Marry makes herself some breakfast. Ezra finishes his food, puts the plate in the sink, and goes to his room. Ezra shuts the door and whispers,"Svetlana? Svetlana are you here?". Then something opens his closet door and walks out. It's Svetlana except she looks different. She has pale skin, white eyes, and matted hair."Hi Svetlana! I'm really happy to see you again." "I'm happy to see you too Ezra. Do you know what happened to me?" Svetlana asks as she steps forward. "I'm not fo sure. Momma said that you got really sick and fell asleep forever. She said you wouldn't wake up but now your here!" Ezra smiles at his friend. "Ezra I'm not here." "What are you talking about? Your right in front of me." Ezra looks at Svetlana confused. "I'm a ghost. I didn't wake up." Svetlana said looking down. "But ghosts are scary. Your not scary your just Svetlana." "I'm glad I'm not scary cause I need your help." Svetlana walks one step closer. "Of course, anything!" "I'm here for a reason I need to know what it is." "I can try to help but could you help me too?" Ezra asks. "Sure, what do you need help with?" "I want to help my uncle Travis get rid of a curse he has. I heard momma and uncle Travis talking. They said that there's a curse in your family but now he has it. Momma wants to get rid of it and I do too!" Ezra smiles at the thought of Travis's curse being gone. Svetlana looks at her hand to see her skin turning back to her normal skin color."That's it! That's what I'm here to do!" "How do you know?" Ezra asks. "When I start to look like how I was before I fell asleep that means I found the reason why I'm here! I'll look normal again when I finish what I came here to do." "Thats amazing! We can help each other." Ezra smiles once more. Svetlana smiles and starts giggling with excitement but Marry heard her giggling. Marry walks to Ezras room, opens the door, and says, "Whats so funny in here?" "Nothing momma. Svetlana was just laughing because she can help uncle Travis!" Ezra says looking up at his mom. "Hunny Svetlana isn't here anymore." " I know but now she's a ghost. She told me herself and that she could help find out why uncle Travis has this curse." "Did uncle Travis tell you about ghosts?" Marry asked. "No, Svetlana did she's right there." Ezra points to where Svetlana is standing but she can't see her. "Ezra I know you miss her but shes not there." "Yes she is. Svetlana can you show her?" Svetlana nods as she walks over to Marry and touches her hand. Marry shudders as a cold chill runs through her whole body. "Did you feel that momma? Svetlana just touched your hand." "That was probably just a draft. Did you open any windows?" Marry asked looking into Ezra's room looking for his window. "No momma I didn't I really didn't! It was Svetlana! See my windows is closed and I didn't open any windows in the kitchen!" Ezra took his mom's hand and dragged her into his room to look at the window. "See momma. All shut." Ezra turned his head to see Marry's face drop. "Travis was right? Svetlana, if you are really here touch my knee." Marry calls out. Suddenly Marry felt something cold touch her left knee. "Momma don't freak out but Svetlana touched your knee." Ezra said reassuringly. "Did uncle Travis leave for work yet?" Marry kneeld down to match Ezra's hight. "Yup! He left a while ago." After hearing this Marry ran to her phone to call Travis. "Come on pick up pick up. Travis? Hi, um I think you were right. Ezra can talk to Svetlana. She said she'd help find out why the curse is effecting you. We can talk more when you get home. Bye Travis." "What? Uh bye" Marry hangs up the phone, "I guess."
